Your customer service is second to none, really helpful and kind in helping my elderly grandmother with a few bits and pieces, which put a big smile on her face! My exact words as we left the shop was that was so kind, I will be writing a review!! They really do go above and beyond!
Such helpful and friendly people, always do a fantastic job, and give honest and unbiased advice. Always a nice experience going there.
Steve and the staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. Steve was quick to get a selection of rings for me to look at, got it prepared quickly and was really quick with the communications. Would definitely recommend getting jewellery there.
Steve at Penny Farthing Jewellers helped me to make an unforgettable proposal to my fiancee and I can't adequately describe how important it is that you use him if you want to do the same.
I had decided that I would like to propose with a diamond, as opposed to a ring, as I wanted my partner to be able to design the ring she would be wearing for the rest of her life.
I didn't know very much about rings or diamonds and came armed only with the knowledge that my partner had always wanted a solitaire. Steve patiently explained how diamonds are graded, what setting options there are and the various cuts. He then spent time showing me a range of beautiful stones, taking the time to teach me about them. He is clearly an expert in his field, as he was extremely good at explaining the technical aspects of the gems. This helped me to feel assured that I was choosing the right sort of diamond and gave me confidence that I was getting my budget right as well as value for money.
Steve was excellent at letting me lead the decision making - at no point did I feel pushed one way or another. However, he used his years of experience to give me a steer on what has worked for other customers - again this gave me confidence that I was choosing a diamond that my partner would love.
I was able to give Steve an idea of what sort of setting and design might be chosen and he gave me a range of options for the metals. Again, this was not just from a budgetary point of view, but also to get the best out of the stone and likely design.
Steve delivered to me a beautiful diamond in a presentation box - a frame with two thin sleeves of plastic in which the diamond sat, making it appear as it was floating. It really couldn't have been more beautifully presented and had the added practical benefit that the diamond wasn't loose so as to be dropped or lost.
My fiancee and I came back to Penny Farthing to talk through designs. Steve is a jewellery designer himself, so was able to guide my fiancee as to how to best present the stone, and manage the technical practicalities of setting it. As it happens, my fiancee decided on a classic setting, rather than of her own design, as that setting displayed the stone to its fullest potential. It is absolutely spectacular and we all felt that we would prefer the eye to be drawn to the stone, rather than the ring itself. That said, the ring Steve helped my fiancee choose is beautifully elegant in its own right.
Steve is incredibly knowledgeable and professional but also very approachable. I really do recommend him, whether you know what you want or not.
Steve, thank you so much for everything you have done. I really couldn't have pulled off such a wonderful proposal without you.
