I’ve had a truly horrible experience…
I’ve had a truly horrible experience with this salon. I chose the salon for their new client offer, 50% off for colour services. I had an event and my own hairdresser was fully booked, this salon has been around for decades. I’m a bit last minute due to my schedule. I just needed my highlights done, what could possibly go wrong?! The stylist took 3hrs to do my full head of highlights, I was so concerned with the unexpected long timing I had to cancel my later appointment with the vet for my dogs yearly booster jab. I’ve never had a stylist take 3hrs to do a full head? She did the top of my head last, 25 mins she left the colour in, the back 2.5hrs! The hair on the top of my head was goosed!!! Awful, bright yellow/orange. It was so bad she called the manager over, their decision was to re highlight the top to try and make it better. It did not. So I had to go back the next day for lowlights and a toner, another 3 hrs which made 9 hrs in total. Still I was lowkey ginger. The girls in the salon were so sweet and tried their hardest to make things right. They didn’t ask for payment and even sent me away with a conditioner to help rectify my overly processed hair. The owner phoned me a couple of days later, not to ask if I was ok or how the colour was, still orange, but to see if I was willing to pay for the services they had provided. The girls were so mortified about what had happened, rightly so, and they hadnt charge me anything, I actually went home in tears. He said he thought it was all about the money and tried to make me feel like I was trying to get something for nothing? Zero responsibility, bad technique and I now have really damaged hair. He didn’t care and was really quite rude. I expected more from a long standing salon and would advise anyone to think twice before becoming a client
