We have visited Peter Green in Chandlers Ford twice in the last week, looking at Amtico flooring, and Gavin was extremely helpful, showing his knowledge and experience, lending us large samples to help make a choice.

I recently visited Peter Green to look for a new lounge carpet and what an amazing choice they have. Gavin was extremely helpful and gave a real personal stress free service something that no longer exist in many other stores. Gavin helped me out to the car with samples of carpet and gave me lots of good advise without being pushy. I have ordered my carpet and would certainly recommend a visit. I will be returning later in the year for a bedroom carpet. Thank you Gavin

My mum has been looking for carpets for her home for a very long time, she has purchased most of her furniture from Peter Green so made sense to look at their carpet options. Gavin was most helpful and knowledgeable, mum is now looking forward to her whole house having its new carpets fitted in May.

We had been searching for carpets for our home for several weeks and had wanted to help the local economy so tried several local small carpet companies but had no success due to either high prices or non returning of calls or emails.
We had already ordered a suite from Peter Green so decided we would go back to them to look at their carpets.
So pleased we did, we were assisted by Gavin and could not have been more impressed with his wide knowledge of carpets, good advice, helpfulness and friendly approach.
The information he gave enabled us to choose a more suitable carpet than we thought we wanted at a very reasonable price.
Will definitely return in future.

Been searching for the right carpets for our home, so glad we went back to Peter Green. Served by Gavin and could not have been more impressed, wide knowledge of carpets and good advice. Took samples home, chose and returned. Within 15 mins Gavin had it all sorted, paid and left with a smile. Peter Green should be proud of this employee.

We have been talking to Gavin in the flooring department for a number of months as we researched flooring for our new house. Gavin's knowledge, helpfulness and friendly approach was second to none and a godsend and a complete asset for Peter Green. We were supported all the way through. We have now purchased our flooring and look forward to installation. Gavin has been super from start to end. Thoroughly recommended.

Just a quick email to thank Gavin for the excellent advice he provided to my wife and I re carpets. He must have been with us an hour talking through all the options, i finally understand how to chose a carpet at age 57! He was an absolute gem and I have honestly never learnt so much and now have so much confidence that we have chosen the best quality carpet that will absolutely meet our requirements.

The estimator is coming Saturday and an order will follow for sure.

His is a credit to Peter Green and I would so recommend him to others.

Last year I inherited a house in Portsmouth from my Aunt, who sadly passed away, it was in dire need of new carpets and furniture, after looking on the Internet for a local supplier, I found Peter Greens, I decided to visit the store to have a look at their products. I was welcomed by Mr Devey (the general manager) and we discussed what I wanted and how they could help me, Mr Devey spent almost 2 hours going through everything with me and was exceptionally knowledgeable about his products comparable to what I was looking for. Needless to say, I placed a large order with them for carpets for my whole house (2x bedrooms, 1x large living room, stairs individually wrapped, a corner unit sofa-bed in the living room and a 2 seat sofa-bed for upstairs) Their measurer Chris, arrived exactly as arranged and took all the measurements needed and I was kept up to date with information of delays due to the Covid situation. As soon as they could give me a fitting date, they contacted me. On the date of fitting, they arrived as agreed and all my carpets were fitted by what I can only describe as a competent, friendly and very polite couple of guys. The next day, my corner unit arrived and was put together quickly and professionally, I had to wait a few days for delivery of my 2 seat sofa-bed, but I had been informed of the delay from the manufacturer by Mr Devey and was fine with it.
I found Peter Greens to be a very helpful, friendly and professional company to work with and would strongly recommend this company, if you want good quality products and a friendly team of staff to help you.
I would like to thank Mr Devey and all his staff for all the help and advice they gave me during a difficult time for me.

Although they are clearly affected by the pandemic like so many retailers right now, Peter Green moved heaven and earth to help my mother with a disability recliner after the first one unexpectedly became unavailable when their supplier went bust. Decent people, working hard in tough conditions I would say.

We don’t normally complain or write reviews, especially during what we consider are extremely challenging times for all. However, we feel that our patience with this company has run out and we are worried that they may never finish the job and that other customers may endure the problems we have suffered for months.
We bought a top of the range runner for our staircase and carpet for our landing in June and seven months, six emails, seven visits to the shop, many unanswered phone calls, 4 different salesmen and three letters of complaint to the general manager, Mr Devey later, we are still no close to having our runner fully fitted. They took the full payment in June and then never ordered the carpet or bothered to tell us that they had forgotten, we only found out at the end of the summer. When they finally came to fit it in September, they had measured it wrong and left us with an entire step uncovered!
Despite issuing a formal complaint to Mr Devey, he did not follow it up and it was not until we demanded a full refund before he decided to write a rather arrogant apology and to acknowledge the problem. Peter Green and Mr Devey have ignored our complaints for months and have shown levels of incompetence that we never knew were possible. At the time, and at the height of the pandemic, we felt it was a good idea to help out the local shops and economy and we have regretted our decision not to have placed our order with bigger and more serious companies such as John Lewis. Stay clear Save your money

Don't waste your time travelling round all the usual 'furniture places' , you're only wasting your time.The quality of the furniture offered at Peter Greens is far superior to any others.You might think that you'll save a few pounds going to the furniture places that are always having a 'sale' every week, but once you've seen the difference in quality, there is no comparison. The service is excellent, especially if you get the chance to meet Mike Devey , the Manager.The whole experience at Peter Green has been more than I could wish for, they really do treat you like you are the only one, and yes it does matter!
Give the others the heave-ho and go straight to Peter Green.
