Worst cut and highlights ever
Got my hair cut and half head highlights in Grafton St. the worst cut and highlights ever. The layers are blunt and not blended and the highlights were missed out on sections where he applied the colour. I mean hag the strand at the top was missing colour and that was done in many areas. Considered the worse cut ever seen by a hairdresser I had to go to to get it some how blended to a style.
A new woman!
I visited this establishment today. I booked a trim and blow dry with Deidre. My reason? I read a good review of this wonderful Lady on this site while looking for a new hairdresser. I was not disappointed. I have now booked weekly appointments with Deidre. She made me a 'new woman' her professionalism and friendliness putting me at my ease immediately.
She was outstanding. Thank you to everyone in the team.
Great staff, great hair cut
I had my hair done by Danielle in Cornelscourt today. I put 5 stars on the e-mail review I received but couldn't add a comment which I'd like to do as Danielle wes so great. I'd like to add more than 5 stars for Danielle. My hair was in such an awful dry state and Danielle was so kind and helpful. Gave me a super cut and condition. It was really getting me down and she made me feel so much better. I cannot recommend Danielle highly enough. Thank you so very much Danielle.
I was diagnosed with stage three…
I was diagnosed with stage three cervical cancer and the cancer is leaning on my kidneys so I have two nephrostomy bags. So when I called I made sure to make them aware of this and that I had to bring a small pillow with me just as I can’t sit fully back. I didn’t lose my hair this time with chemo and it being Christmas (even though it was probably a waste of money) I thought I’d get SOME highlights to brighten me up. As I worked in PM as a teen I knew the prices and I can read the price list on the door. The hairdresser came over and asked me what I wanted so I said some highlights to brighten me up (unfortunately while doing this three people were standing at the counter obviously talking about me) she said she’d do a lovely job. But kept asking me questions like a child like have you had highlights before? Am I sure I want colour? I also have my hair shaved underneath and asked her to do a blend shave on it. But this is where things got insulting… she told me she was going to do up a price for me before we started? I have never had this before? So she comes over with a receipt with a list of what I wanted and also
2 olaplex treatments (I use olaplex once a month at home). I acted shocked and said yes that’s fine as I was expecting it to be this much. When my colour was done I was at the basin and watched as she started 3 more clients and not one did she do the price first? So it made me believe as I can only wear tracksuits with the nephrostomy that it was because she thought I wasn’t able to pay! When I was at the basin I asked when I would be getting the olaplex treatment and when she was finished rinsing she said I’m putting the olaplex in now… she didn’t because it smelled nothing like olaplex and when she went to brush through my hair it was like straw. Your hair feels like silk if olaplex is used. She then gave me an old fashioned bob even though I asked her to cut into the ends to make it a bit less harsh she ignored me. I also noticed later that she didn’t blend my shave just did a no2 all over. Also I had at least a 3mm roots. She didn’t do the all over ginger up to my scalp so it looks old already. After washing my hair after as I asked for beach curls and got ghd
Curls and I wanted to do it myself. And there is no way they used olaplex on me because my hair was like straw. The most annoying thing is I usually have a friend who is a hairdresser 25 years do my hair but she now has her own salon and I didn’t want to ask her this time of year because she’s run off her feet. So sorry I didn’t wait now. I also made sure to give €10 tip to her and the colourist (she was lovely the best thing about my experience. Because I wanted her to know you don’t judge how people look… came home and cried. My husband was so angry because he knew how relieved I was to still have my hair and how I was looking forward to it. Will never go near this place again.. even thought the stylist did tell me before doing my hair that it will need to be touched up every 6 weeks? I knew that. She really did treat me like

21.12.24 Peter marks contacted me to get an app to let them fix it. I wasn’t happy going to the one in Portlaoise seeing as it was one of their senior stylists that made the mistake. I used to work in the Peter marks tallaght so I knew some of the stylists so I was willing to travel up. So glad I did. When I showed them the photos I showed the original hairdresser they literally had mouths open. They even called other stylists over. But when they went to cut my hair…. I thought it was just a terrible bob but it’s was so crooked at the back. Even the stylist was shocked at the cut it was terrible. I’m so sorry I didn’t go to tallaght originally. I knew how good the stylist are on the bottom floor. I really thought they’d only be able to cut it and do nothing with the colour as it was so over processed. But Elaine was amazing and I can’t even say how perfect she did it. I was actually emotional when I saw the finished style. It was beyond perfection. I literally ran out when they were done because I didn’t want to cry. She had to cut my hair shorter to fix the cut it was so bad but I don’t know how she fixed the colour. And I have to say everyone was so lovely to me. So my Christmas present to myself ended up being the good experience in the end that I needed. So thank you so much to the manager, Jade and Elaine.

Peter Mark has talented stylists
Peter Mark has talented stylists, as some customers have praised Lindsey, Chloe, and Toni for great haircuts and color. However, not every visit is perfect. An unfortunate experience involved an unwanted mullet cut, and another customer was upset by a stylist's rude behavior on a special occasion. It's a mixed bag at Peter Mark, with room for improvement in some areas.

I have just been to the Carlow branch and I have been treated like a VIP by Brian who did a wash and blow dry for me. 5 star treatment from a great stylist and extremely friendly and professional team.
28.50 for 5yr old 3minute cut…
I just came out of clonmel Peter Marks and I am absolutely raging.i asked for a trim, quarter inch, off my 5 year old hair and got charged 28.50 for 3 minute cut. I couldn't believe the price. No one told me the price, I assumed around 15.00 but almost double that. It's outragous price and completely unjustified. Never again. People should be asked if they are aware of price beforehand.

Very disappointed with my hair color
Very disappointed with my hair color, I booked in for a few skinny highlights to break up my roots at the front. I had a great consultation when I originally booked but unfortunately on the day the hairdresser changed my booking to balyage and proceeded to give me 5-6 large orange streaks at the side and back of my hair. Exactly what I said I didn't want. I wrote to Peter Marks and sent photos of both my results and my inspiration photos. They did invite me to come in to assess but unfortunately I live abroad and I won't be back for months. I asked them to assess the photos I sent but they said they couldn't and told me there was nothing more they could do for me. Very disappointed with the results and the after care team.170 euro down the drain

Got a haircut last week in Peter Marks Wexford by Meghan Im pretty sure her name was. Absolutely wonderful so so happy with my hair. She made sure that i got exactly what i wanted and i'm obsessed. Will definitely definitely be going back

I recently booked an appointment at Peter Mark to get my roots done and specifically mentioned that I have tape-in extensions since cancer treatment and the extensions were my own hair. I drove 45 minutes to the salon two days later, having arranged for a babysitter, only to be told that they couldn’t do my roots because of my extensions. This was incredibly frustrating as I had been clear about the extensions when I booked, and no one mentioned it would be an issue.
This experience not only cost me time and a long drive, but also the expense and effort of arranging childcare. I wish there had been better communication upfront, as it would have saved me a lot of trouble. I’d suggest that Peter Mark review their booking policies to ensure clients are fully informed of any limitations before the appointment.

I went in for my toner appointment and she said i don’t have a patch test… i did my patch test just a few days before on my arm and i made the booking cuz i had a really important event and I wanted my hair to look great.. and was not my problem or my fault that they didn’t put in the computer the patch test .. I had a very bad morning and i’m never coming back for anything to Peter Mark… I used to buy form there all my hair care and everything :) never again after this exeperience.. they could at least offer a free blow dry cuz was not my fault what happened !!! (this was in blanchardstown)
