Helpful, reliable, and caring
I used Pet Moves to transport me and my grey tabby, Theo, from Paris to Folkestone. Pet Moves provided reliable and accurate information regarding the documents I needed to transport my cat from our starting destination (USA). They also delivered a reliable and comfortable service for me and Theo on our car journey to the UK, with stops provided where necessary. I would recommend Pet Moves for anyone looking for a comfortable, safe, and reliable journey with their pet to the UK.

Barry and Petmoves A+
Working with Barry and Petmoves to relocate from the US to the UK was an amazing experience. My husband and I have never flown with our dog for 8+ hours at a time and knew that the cargo hold wouldn’t be an option for her at her age. After getting connected with Barry, he explained what was required from a paperwork standpoint and how the pickup and transportation would go. Everything went smoothly; considering a relocation during the pandemic and with lockdowns in London, we were nervous but very reassured. The van he picked us up in was clean and comfortable and made for a good ride in the Eurotunnel and across to the Folkestone station. He assisted with our bags to getting on the train, which was tremendously helpful considering how many we had and we were balancing our dog too. Overall, highly recommended and would recommend to anyone in our same situation.

Pet Moves helped me get home to London from Vancouver with two weeks notice. I'd been trying to go via Heathrow, but the pandemic was affecting cargo transportation and I didn't feel comfortable putting my dog under the hold, especially if we weren't going to be on the same flight. If it seems costly, it's no more expensive than the Air Canada cargo rates.
Quick responses, up to date knowledge of the current rules and a really kind and helpful service. We met at Paris CDG and Barry patiently helped me with my two trollies full of luggage. We stopped after a 5 minute drive so my dog could relieve herself and then enjoyed a really scenic drive to the Eurotunnel. Free sandwiches and self serve Starbucks, if you get the upgrade tunnel pass.
Crossed with no problems and I was dropped at the junction so I could be picked up for the rest of my travel.
Barry emailed me shortly after I was home to remind me to update my pet's microchip information, which I had absolutely forgotten to do!
Traveling with a pet is stressful, even more so during a pandemic. Pet Moves held my hand through the process and if I had to travel with my dog again, I'd use them in a heartbeat.

Highly Recommend Pet Moves!
My wife and I just relocated to London from NYC with our Mini Goldendoodle puppy.
Using Pet Moves made our entire experience stress-free and comfortable. Barry was prompt, respectful, and made several stops during our journey to give us a chance to walk our puppy. He also helped review our paperwork before the move to ensure we wouldn't have any issues crossing the border.
I would highly recommend Pet Moves for anyone moving to the UK with a pet!
Saigon, Vietnam to London, UK: an odyssey made less traumatising by Pet Moves
I recently (mid-June 2021) moved from Saigon, Vietnam back to the UK with my anxious cat. I whole-heartedly recommend Pet Moves for the leg from Paris CDG to Central London. (My cat is a skittish basketcase at the best of times, and the UK doesn't allow animals to fly in-cabin into the UK; I didn't want to put him in cargo for such a long series of flights.) I had a lot of questions and uncertainty about the process as I'd never travelled with an animal before. The company was very responsive, friendly and well-informed. Petmoves explained clearly and thoroughly the process for travelling by car from Paris to my home, highlighted the various charges that applied as well as the cost of additional options. The company gave advice on the entry requirements for both France and the UK, and reviewed my pet documentation prior to travel. The query and booking process were really clear and easy; Pet Moves also made it clear that if regulations changed which meant that I couldn't fly out to Paris from Vietnam on the planned date, we could always rearrange. It really helped reduce the anxiety of a stressful situation, especially since i was arranging the move from half a world away. It really is a cost-efficient and time-efficient way of getting your pets into the UK
Barry our driver, arrived bang on time (even though my flight landed at Paris CDG at 4am (sorry, Barry!). The prior instructions sent by Barry for what to do from landing, and where to meet were clear. The vehicle was clean and had plenty of space for our luggage. I could tell that Barry was a good egg because my cat, who generally shies away from contact with anyone else but me, leant forward to sniff his hand straight away. The ride was smooth and efficient; Barry knew exactly what we needed to do at each stage and was very reassuring. My anxious cat settled into the car easily and was surprisingly calm the entire way. Pet Moves was great--thank you so much. (For people coming from Vietnam, I also recommend flying the pet-friendly Air France, and Dr Nghia's team at Saigon Pet Hospital in Thao Dien, HCMC for preparing the relevant import documentation.)

We highly recommend Barry
Barry was so helpful in getting myself & our Shih-Poo, Winnie, to London from the US via Paris. He was extremely kind & very caring of both of us, making sure we were comfortable, stopping as needed & arranging an appointment with a vet in Calais on our way through so Winnie now has her EU Pet Passport. He made the whole journey stress free from meeting us at CDG to dropping us off at home in London. Thank you Barry, we will be using you every time we travel with Winnie! Robin D

Barry was Great!
Barry was on time for pick up, professional and easy to work with. My 2 cats and I sailed through the car journey after 8.5 hrs on a plane not to mention the time at airport, and Euro tunnel was very easy and quick too. Glad Barry was there to get us to the UK, and with no stress. Thanks Barry!

Smooth international pet travel!
I travelled from Mexico, via Paris to London with my two cats. I had been very anxious travelling post-Brexit and during Covid, but Barry and I had months of back and forth via phone phone and email where he provided endless information and reassurance. On the day, everything went smoothly, Barry had helped me with all the documentation required, and it was surprisingly easy for me to enter France with the cats at the airport. He definitely knows what is he doing (he has been doing this for years and has even had celebrity customers), and is also very friendly and chatty. Barry was relaxed with my cats and allowed me to let them out their carriers to explore the car, it was the one part of the journey they were happy. He also helped me prepare a little toilet for them and changed it once during the journey. I couldn't be happier with his service and would highly recommend it.

Such peace of mind and a sigh of relief. Thank you Barry and Edward for taking care of us and our two cats again for our return trip home from London to the USA. It was amazing to rely on your excellent service, which allowed us to keep our dear pets with us throughout our journey back home. Your business is fantastic and appreciate your personalized service and attention. We made it home safely with our pets with no fuss!

Great Experience
The UK does not allow pets to fly into the country in the passenger cabin of commercial aircraft. Our 17 year old cat is too old to travel in the hold; that really wouldn't be fair on him. They do allow pets on private aircraft, but having investigated the cost of doing this from the US to the UK, that idea was quickly struck down!
While searching for alternatives, we came across Barry and Pet Moves. This turned out to be a great alternative. Barry was able to help verify the paperwork needed from our vet and the USDA/APHIS approvals that were then required. We landed at CDG and Barry was waiting outside the terminal exactly at the spot we had agreed.
The journey to the French coast and the train takes a few hours, but Barry has several options to stop along the way, all excellent. We had opted for the flexible train ticket and this meant that we boarded the train almost immediately, with almost no delay.
The drive from the train in to Central London takes about 90 minutes. Barry dropped us at the door of our Airbnb (to serve out our quarantine). All in all, an excellent service.
For anyone planning to make this trip I suggest you:
* Pay close attention to the lock down rules in the UK and France. If in doubt, talk to Barry.
* Make sure you allow time to get your vet documents back from the USDA. We contacted several USDA offices in the US before we found one that seemed responsive and to offer quick turn around (in Conyers, GA). They turned around our documents on the day that they arrived. Quite excellent.
* Under the rules on the day that we made this trip, you needed a Covid test within 72 hours of boarding. With no guarantee that the results will come back in time, this is probably the riskiest part of the whole adventure. We each ended up getting two covid tests on the same morning. This was fortunate as only one of our results came back in time.
All in all, a great experience.
Update. After being dropped off by Barry, I discovered that I had left a battery pack (used to charge my iPhone on the long trip) in the back of Barry's mini van. Barry was kind enough to mail it back to me. Quite excellent. Thank you.

Definitely recommend!
I had an incredible experience with PetMoves and I highly recommend them. I found the company through Google so I had no idea what to expect and was very stressed out about moving with two cats abroad from the US (during a pandemic no less!). But working with PetMoves was wonderful, helpful, and put me at ease. They clearly love animals and have expertise transporting them from Paris to London. Everything could not have gone smoother—from pickup to border control—and my driver Edward was kind, fun to drive with, and went above and beyond. Would use them again!

I had booked Pet Moves in July to assist with the transfer of my dog from New York to London in Oct and paid Barry a 50% deposit (£900). In Sept, I spoke to the French Consulate in New York, who advised that due to Covid restrictions, I would not be able to leave the airport and transfer by car to complete my journey. I called Barry a full 6 weeks ahead of my planned arrival date to request a cancellation and refund. Barry was rude and aggressive over the phone, and refused the refund. He dismissed the information I was given by the French Consulate and said I shouldn't believe them. From the other reviews on here it seems that other people have successfully managed to transit through France from the US, but given what I was told by the Consulate, I was not prepared to take the risk and be potentially stranded in France with my dog. Given the circumstances with Covid you would think that Pet Moves would be a bit more sympathetic to these types of situations, but no. Barry made some suggestions to try to keep the booking, but none of them were workable if the guidance from the French Consulate was correct. At the end of the day, he kept on expressing his concern about his loss of revenue if I cancelled and refused to return the refund even though he had a full 6 weeks notice. Pet Moves seems to be more concerned about the money than being reasonable. I shall not be recommending Pet Moves.

LA to London via Paris amidst CV19 - no problem!!!
My wife and I travelled with our 2 yr old Cockapoo from Los Angeles to London with Pet Moves...amidst the global coronavirus pandemic - and it was EASY!
Our cockapoo travelled with us in the cabin from Los Angeles to New York, New York to Paris, and then finally from Paris to London with Pet Moves, who advised us on the forms we needed to complete to ensure that our pet could cross the border into the UK without having to go through quarantine, and who scheduled a relaxing journey for the final leg which allowed us enough time to stretch our legs, eat/drink, and yet still arrive in London in the mid-afternoon.
Barry and his team were responsive to any queries I had from the moment I first enquired through to our doorstep in London and I cannot recommend Pet Moves enough if you’re looking to transport your pet internationally without the need for separation or quarantine.

Exactly the service we needed
I just moved to London from California and had a GREAT experience using Pet Moves.
Originally, I thought the only way to get my pup, Indy, into the UK would be via ferry from Amsterdam or for her to fly in cargo—but but of these options involved risk and major hassles. Going via ferry would have required getting from the airport to ship, stopping at a local vet to get an EU pet passport, checking Indy into cargo on board the ship, collecting her afterwards, and then arranging travel into London once we docked in the UK. And flying in cargo was a risk I didn't want to take.
I was so pleased to have found Pet Moves as an alternative! The owner, Barry, picked us up from CDG as soon as we landed and from there on out I literally didn't have to make any decisions about anything. I felt completely trusting of Barry and my husband and I (and Indy) were able to relax from the moment we got in the van—which was VERY welcome after we traveled so many hours.

To you reading this review—I WAS YOU a month ago! Pet Moves seemed like the perfect way to get Indy into the UK from the USA, I thought I had found a loophole. It's not too good to be true! We booked with Barry and could not be happier with our decision. We moved on a tight budget, and I would 100% pay the same (or more!) if I was doing this trip again.
I don't normally write effusive reviews or SHOUT when I'm typing but literally PET MOVES IS THE BEST WAY TO GET YOUR DOG INTO THE UK.
Cheers, Barry!

Perfect way to move to the UK with pets
I used Pet Moves to move from Dubai to the UK via Paris with my cat. The whole experience was very clear and stress free. The booking process was straightforward, the trip was quick, and the car was very comfortable. Barry was a great help getting us through the border smoothly and with no delay even after a paperwork issue was found at the last minute.
I was dreading moving with my cat for the first time, but Pet Moves made this an actually enjoyable experience, I would highly recommend using their service.
