I insured the dog, they don't want to give back the money because "the dog was sick before"
The female had a liquid, when I insured the dog, I went for a blood test, then it turned out that my dog had too few white blood cells, I sent an invoice to the company petsecur, unfortunately not I got a refund,
Your pet in this company will not be insured!, of course you have to pay for insurance.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

Hi, I do not write review usually but on this one I would like to inform other pet parents about Petsecur. Run away ! If you need an insurance where you feel they are supporting you and your pet with clear guidance don’t go with them.
-The client service are so rude. If you don’t speak Dutch they will clearly say it at each call (if they request their consumer to speak Dutch then no issue but write it on the website). They understand perfectly English until suddenly you ask about cancellation or explanation about reimbursement cost. They will tell you « they do not appreciate because you smiling on the phone » ….. not something to say to a consumer and very weird ….
-They will decline your reimbursement request within 24h telling some documents are missing despite adding everything requested on the website and will not tell you what is missing or needed. So you have to guess by yourself…..
-If you want to cancel you can wait forever to get a reply (7-10 days accordingly to the women I spoke too on the phone) while they take less than 24h to decline your reimbursement claim. As well if you call them to make sure they receive your cancellation request (since you have received 3 other emails about the reimbursement claims you made after the cancellation request) they will complain.
-I asked my vet and other friends who are vet and they all told me they are very complicated and move to other competitors which I will do.

Our cat caught a disease called FIP and needed doctors consultations, blood tests and to stay at the hospital.
We have paid around 3500 total. Petsecur has paid only ~1000.
They have found every way to not pay for all the treatments, doctors visits, blood tests that are needed to keep the cat alive. The hospital bill alone was 2100.....they paid 420.
What is the point of having insurance then? You basically get no security when something unexpected actually happens.
This place acts like a glorified pyramid scheme.
UPDATE: I would like to respond to the feedback. Petsecur has reported this review by the way.
We purchased the EXTRA package as we wanted the best for our cat blinded by the 90%'s. During the cats hospital stay the only thing they paid for was the bed. You must pay for everything else, doctors, xrays, blood tests that were needed to recover the cat.
There is a cap of 500 for consultations, even during her hospital stay this cap applies. My cat needed consultations before deciding to send her to hospital as she was almost DEAD from the disease! This used our consultation allocation quickly.
But the fact that this ceiling applies to hospital visits as well - is diabolical from Petsecur.
You never plan for these things, but when it happened, we thought we were safe...but this company failed us miserably.

Deze site gedraagt zich als een veredeld piramidespel.
UPDATE: Ik wil graag reageren op de feedback. Petsecur heeft deze recensie overigens gerapporteerd.
We hebben het EXTRA-pakket gekocht omdat we het beste wilden voor onze kat die voor 90% blind was. Tijdens het ziekenhuisverblijf van de kat betaalden ze alleen voor het bed. Je moet zelf betalen voor al het andere, dokters, röntgenfoto's en bloedonderzoeken die nodig waren om de kat te redden.
Er geldt een limiet van 500 voor consulten, zelfs tijdens haar ziekenhuisverblijf. Mijn kat had consulten nodig voordat ze besloot haar naar het ziekenhuis te sturen, omdat ze bijna DOOD was aan de ziekte! Daardoor was ons consultatiebudget snel op.
Maar dat dit limiet ook voor ziekenhuisbezoeken geldt, is een schande van Petsecur.
Je plant dit soort dingen nooit, maar toen het gebeurde, dachten we dat we veilig waren... maar dit bedrijf heeft ons jammerlijk in de steek gelaten.

I really wanted to like PetSecur, but my experience has been incredibly frustrating.
Around 80% of my claims were either refused or canceled without proper explanation. When I tried calling customer support for help, I was met with rude responses and constantly told to "just send an email instead." It feels like they don't want to actually help their customers.
What concerns me most is their handling of personal data. Multiple invoices were sent to the wrong person, which is a serious privacy breach.
They also don't honor their own cancellation policy - I've been trying to cancel for weeks now with endless back-and-forth.
The waiting times are ridiculous too. Whether it's claims processing or getting responses to emails, everything takes forever.
I expected much better from a pet insurance company. Unfortunately, I can't recommend PetSecur based on my experience.
There are better options out there that actually value their customers and honor their commitments.
Update: Still dealing with cancellation issues months later. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.
