They didn't offer a very good price for my old iphone so I was a little miffed
Great experience
Awful company
Awful company. They offered a good price for my phone, which I accepted and sent it off, then got a message that it was scratched, with a massively reduced offer in the price.
Read the other reviews!
Terrible company
Terrible company, I left a review and they reported it. They wouldn't give my money back until I argued with them over 3 phone calls. Don't even bother with this con of a company.
Don't send your phone here they offered…
Don't send your phone here they offered £150 for my iPhone 8 and when I sent it to them thry re offered £55 my phone was mint they are scammer beware and check watchdog on YouTube
They are out of business
They are out of business, well done British public and Watchdog BBC!
This is a SCAM
This is a SCAM, Incredibly poor quality service. I'd rate them a 0 stars if I could. I've sent my phone beginning of November and until February nobody came back to me. I've called and left a message many times, sent numerous emails, nobody bothers to pick up. Then they send me a counter offer which is a fraction (to be precise 8% only: £10 vs £136) of the initial offer otherwise I have to pay £7 for shipping costs to return it back.
Avoid working with these guys!
lloydsmobilephone recyclers
sent two samsung s6 edge to lloydsmobilephone recyclers told i would be paid 114 pounds ,had no response had to ring them up and was told i would only get 90 pounds each was told that the money would go into my bank on same day as they recieved them (not) what a load of scammers the phones were as brand new no scratches no marks .
What a joke - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
What a joke, sent a phone that was in good working order with the odd small mark on back (no scratches to screen). Offered £104.00 having received the phone they now tell me that their technician says that the LCD is faulty, white dots on screen, lots of bad severe scratches to phone revised offer £30.00. Or I can have my phone back but it will cost me £6.99 (will have to pay the £6.99 or I wont get the phone back, cost £6.99 to send it to them - So it will have cost £13.98 for them to try and rob me) NEVER, EVER, EVER AGAIN - PEOPLE BEWARE THESE PEOPLE ARE RIP OFF MERCHANTS
18 months and still no payment
18 months and still no payment. Robbing from a charity - disgusting behaviour!!
sold i phone 8 but never got paid
sold i phone 8 to them and then they just went out of business.my phone was worth £500 and they never paid me.basically stole it ! reported it to the police but no one seems to be able to help me recover it.i'm devastated.how the people at this company can live with themselves i don't know.
ABSOLUTE SCAM
ABSOLUTE SCAM - DO NOT USE
truly they are awful
They quote higher prices than competitors but when they receive your phone they will offer you a lower price for made up reasons which simply are not true.
After weeks of trying to get them to send my phone back I had to give up and accept the lower offer. which tooks weeks to come into my bank account.
They ignored all of my emails and they phone number justs rings and rings and they do not answer.
Worse ever company
12 months on still no payment. I suspect they have either gone out of business or changed name.
Does anyone have any ideas. Crooks are us might be a good new name!
14 months and still nothing!
October 2016 I sent off 2 mobiles in mint condition and an iPod, also in mint condition. Initially offered £240, it was then reduced because home button on iPhone 5c wasn’t working properly!!! It was working fine when I used it before I sent it to them.
Same story as the others on here. No payment, emails back and forth promising me payment in 10 days. Nothing! After going back and forth with emails and then eventually them not bothering to reply... I eventually get a cheque in feb 2017 which bounced!
Nothing since. I have thought about going to court in regards to them. But have seen someone else tried - and failed. :(
This is criminal.....what else can we do? If they claim to have ceased trading!
God dam awful company bunch of thieving scumbags!!
No payment
Phone sent in, price was greatly reduced from guaranteed price stated on the website. Since acceptance email no money have been received or replies to emails despite their terms and conditions stating max 10 working days during busy periods. Will be taking the matter further with trading standards. Found via compare and recycle who should remove this company based on all the similar cases.
Mobile Cash Mate - Phone damaged on way to them and not covered on the insurance provided by them!
Mobile Cash Mate. I was quoted a price of £136 for my Samsung S6 32gb. It was in very good condition when I sent it, apart from a couple of minor scratches. When they received it I was told the camera lens was broken and they would pay me £96! I told them to send the phone back as it was not broken when I sent it. I have tried to claim £15 for the repair from them as they state on the pre-paid postage that the phone is insured up to £50, but they have refused to pay me and basically saying that the phone must have been sent to them like that. Shocking!
Criminal
Horrendous company who basically rob you of your valuable phones. They promised me payment of £240 for my iPhone 6 in December 2016 and I have received no payment nor have they been contactable either by phone or email. I now see that the company has stopped trading so I may have to kiss my phone and money goodbye. I don't know if a bunch of people on here, who have been cheated, are planning joint action, if yes I will gladly join. To put it bluntly they take your goods and don't pay. In any other area of society that is a crime.
I wish I had never seen this company on …
I wish I had never seen this company on the internet as how they can call themselves a company and operate in this way is beyond me. I sent my phone to them on 28th November 2016 and despite several emails and letters have had nothing from them. Don't use them even if they seem to offer the best price. In reality you will get nothing from them and they will have your phone.
I wish I had read these reviews before …
I wish I had read these reviews before sending my phone in. I have now joined the massive list of people that have not been paid for my phone. I will be reporting then to the police tomorrow.
Don't ever use we buy any phone
I used webuyanyphone to recycle my old handset. 3 months later still no payment. Lots of excusses from the company in the start as to why it was taking weeks to even get a confirmation of receipt from themselves. During month 2 they weren't taking any calls or replying to any emails and resorted to asking questions on social media. Only received generic reply. Start of month 3 received a txt message confirming everything and also payment would.be made within 24 hours. End of the month still no payment and I'm going round in circles with disinterested staff who don't seem to give a stuff about the shambles of a company they work for. DON'T USE THEM
