I have used this app for a couple of…

I have used this app for a couple of years now. All of a sudden, the app does not work! Any updates cause mayhem and on top of that they say they cannot find my subscription. Well, my bank tells me different!

You cannot speak to anyone or find a simple email for customer service. It's impossible to get help.

I feel like I have been totally ripped off this time.

The most common reason a subscription doesn't show up is being logged in with a different account than the one used at sign-up, try logging in with your original email and it should appear. For the app issues post-update, contact our support team through the app and ask for a human agent. A subscriber since 2022, no customer care, no customer loyalty, no customer support

A subscriber of PhotoRoom Pro since 2022, in last few months since a large scale update & introduction of new payment plans and limiting of features/ usage, I have experienced issues on a daily basis, with the App crashing, not being able to upload, and if I do upload, not being able to export. There are instances where, images have been exported more than once impacting the number of images exported for the month.

I have contacted the PhotRoom team on numerous occasions (i have sent at least 15 messages). When I have had a response it's always the same, " I understand your frustration.....blah, blah. blah ...we have passed your message to the team and your issue will be looked into". In one such response, I was asked to send screen shots of the issue am having. I did, and I got the same response again, i.e that it's been passed on to look into and someone will get back to me.

There has been no attempt to get back to me with a resolve. i've even requested a refund and that to has been met with radio silence.

Today, I succumbed and decided that I cannot continue to pay a subscription that causes me so much stress, with a complete and utter lack of customer support.

I tried to cancel, but what do you know! That process too, freezes. So, 1) I am unable to get a resolve to my issues, and 2) I am unable to cancel.

I sent 3 more messages today, but no doubt I will never get a response.

I just don't know how a company can operate with no regard for customer care and customer loyalty.

the only reason I have left 2-stars is because in the early days, the App met my purpose.

Crashes, upload failures, duplicate export counting, and 15 messages met with the same canned response is a serious breakdown on both fronts.

for everything else, contact our support team through the app and ask specifically for a senior agent, not first-line support.

It’s very expensive I paid A$145 It’s…

It’s very expensive I paid A$145 It’s not worth it and this is monthly subscription it’s only last for few days with Ultra AI videos & photos generated 250 limit when it’s generated one time it doesn’t generate what you’ve asked in one go but if you only after background changes it’s probably worth it. I hope it’s a lot cheaper!

THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY

THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY, DO NOT ADD YOUR PAYMENT INFO IN THEIR WEBSITE. I have canceled my subscription many times and yet they are charging my card. Even taking money 2 times in a row. If you want to cancel subscription, there is no real button for that and you just have ro read articles of how to do it. I almost canceled it 10 times yet they chaege me. I have contacted help, yet no response. It is a nightmare. I am trying to contact authorities to make a legal complaint otherwise they will be stealing whatever I have in card.

Absolutely disgusted by the predatory…

Absolutely disgusted by the predatory subscription model of this app. The cancellation process is intentionally designed to be confusing. I was charged £69.99 without a clear warning and have been fighting with their AI bot for over an hour just to get a refund. Their "support" is just a loop of automated messages denying any help. This is a total scam. If you value your money, do NOT install this app. 1 star is way too high for this kind of business practice.

PLEASE DO NOT PAY THEM MONEY. As soon as you subscribe, ALL the amazing features you’ve been using for free get turned off and you have you pay a ton more to get very little. I used the app for free for months and it was incredible. The moment I paid to subscribe, the app became unusable cause they want you to pay more and more and more just to get half the features you got before paying. I’ll be calling my credit card company to dispute the charges. Total scam.

Find another app to spend your money on

This company is the worst. I've been waiting 3 days to get reconnected to an app they acknowledge I've paid for and is an active subscription, but which for some reason has dropped me. They also changed the terms I subscribed to, partway through my subscription, giving me fewer options. I could go on, but the customer service is quite literally the worst I've ever experienced.

Two Years as a Customer — Very Disappointing Ending

I used PhotoRoom for about two years and subscribed to all available plans and add-ons. However, over the last couple of weeks the background generation quality has dropped to the level of the free V3 version — blurry textures, unclear objects, and generally poor results.

Because of this, I cancelled my MAX subscription about two weeks before the next billing period. Despite that, PhotoRoom immediately disabled my paid subscription and effectively took away the remaining two weeks that I had already paid for.

This feels extremely unprofessional. A company that positions itself as a tool for professionals should treat its paying users much more fairly. Unfortunately, in my experience the service quality has declined significantly and the way they handled the subscription cancellation was very disappointing.

The cancelled part of your subscription should be reflected in your next bill for the new plan you have picked. (if you've picked Pro then you'll only pay prorata with the Max non used). You will get charged even if u cancel subscription

When I first used this it was great but haven’t used it so cancelled my subscription still got charged and requested a refund which they put through same day got the email and saw it on my statement next day it disappeared don’t deal with this company seems very dishonest

Changed terms midway through annual subscription

I loved this app, using it ONLY to remove backgrounds in batch processing for my small business. I paid an annual subscription. They changed the terms midway in my subscription, limiting my processing, which would force me to change to a much more expensive plan. They told me they did this due to additional AI features! I don’t use them for that. I will be looking elsewhere for the basic features I need. So wrong to change terms when you paid annually.

Now why can’t I give zero stars. ??? I am absolutely gobsmacked that this company has a 5 star review rating.

The say it is a free trial but even after you cancel - they ignore that and charge you anyway. Then - go ahead and try to find some way to get your money back. Good luck with that. They will not respond to emails and have hidden customer support chat somewhere deep inside the application. This application believes it is too “highly valued” to accept email addresses from Yahoo. They are snotty scam artists. I truly wish my experience was different. BACK AWAY FROM THIS APP. I fully expect they must be deleting anything but 5 star reviews. I do not believe my experience is unusual.

DO NOT DO A FREE TRIAL!! I tried to cancel before the trial ended and it’s incredibly difficult. I couldn’t cancel in time and was charged nearly $90. I emailed customer service because I couldn’t cancel on my own and the response was that I needed to use the chat feature. Used the chat feature and have had no assistance. To cancel on my own I’m stuck in a loop of cancellation articles. It’s incredibly disturbing how difficult this is. Do. Not. Use.

Being bounced from email to chat to a loop of cancellation articles, while a charge is pending, is not the experience we want for anyone.

What might be happening is that the trial was taken on a web flow and you are trying to cancel on mobile. On mobile you need to go through the Apple or Google platforms as they are the ones managing the payment. If you took it on web then you should check on a desktop access.

Please contact our support team through the app and ask specifically for a human agent from the start, they can access your account directly, look into the charge, and make sure the cancellation is properly processed.

Scam Company

tried to charge my credit card after subscription cancellation

Photoroom tried to charge my credit card even though I had canceled my trial subscription and received the cancellation confirmation email a week before the original trial period was scheduled to end. This is a highly unethical behavior from a company. I would trust these scammers. Their photo services just uses Google’s Banana AI which I already paid for through Google anyways—and was why I canceled my trial subscription after I had signed up for the trial and was able to see the actual features in the plan.

A charge attempt after receiving a cancellation confirmation is something that needs to be investigated directly. Please contact our support team through the app and ask for a human agent, maybe the cancellation flow you initiated didn't work. They can access your billing records and look into exactly what happened on your account.

At nearly £5 a week I expect an app to…

At nearly £5 a week I expect an app to do what I want. I don't expect after 2 days of use for it to be telling me I've used up 80% of data and need to wait for the rest of the week to go by and pay again or upgrade. Further, if I've uploaded a model I want to use to display my clothing, I don't expect Photoroom to keep changing their face. So much time is wasted. If you want to try it, try it for just 1 week and be sure to cancel your subscription within 7 days unless it's perfect for your needs.
