Born in 2008, from a journey of solo-travel and self-discovery, Pineapple Island exists to introduce the fashion industry to jewellery and clothing that won't cost the Earth.
With every product made, we enable sustainable job creation for our makers in Bali and the UK. By cutting out big factories, we get money directly into the hands of smart & resourceful artisans.
How we create
We are a small team based along the South Coast of the UK in the seaside town of Bournemouth. We work closely with a studio in the heart of Bali, where we have a full time designer and part-time group of outworkers who create Pineapple Island jewellery as a second income.
With our head designer in Bali, we work together to create affordable jewellery and clothing for our customers to look good and feel good!
What we create
From beaded anklets to waterproof bracelets, all of our products are surf and sunshine inspired. We have most recently launched an organic clothing line and 100% recycled plastic jewellery collection in partnership with Surfers Against Sewage. It is our goal to continue to work on creating products sustainably and to continue to collaborate with incredible charities across the UK.Contact info

Pretty bracelets
Pretty bracelets, bought as a gift. A star lost because I paid an extra £1.50 for a gift box, not realising it was just the box it came in. I opened it and then it was too late to use for the gift. I think that should have been made clearer.

Felt compelled to write a review as not only do I love the product but have had a great customer service experience. I bought a silver double wave ring at the pineapple pop up shop at a local festival, loved the jewellery style and story behind it. I love the simplicity and lightness of the ring and it is not like adjustable ones I've had before that pinch the skin. It suits perfectly, is so light weight and looks super sophisticated in a understated way. Yesterday I thought I'd lost the ring at the airport as took it off and put it in one of those grey boxes and forgot to take it out, was annoyed as really liked it so quickly ordered another one online. I had one final check and then found it on the floor in the area I'd picked up my stuff, typical. Anyway, the second ring arrived the very next day in the post! In a lovely gift box and as nice as the first, even slightly shinier which shows each one produced is individual. I'm going to give it to my friend as a gift. I think for the price, the item is lovely, there were no sharp bits on the two rings I have (as has been said in another review) but I imagine you could probably smooth it down with a nail file if needed) and definitely think it's worth the small price tag. Would order from this company in future without hesitation, thanks pineapple island!
