Online Car Auction "Virgin"
As an online auction "virgin" I was viewing the whole process with a degree of trepidation. I needn`t have worried; Dave Marsden carefully and professionally steered me through the process from start to finish. The guide price range estimate was spot on & the car achieved a price well above the suggested reserve. I would thoroughly recommend using the Piston Heads auction service to the inexperienced and experienced alike.

They censor forums without giving any reason
They censor forums without giving any reasons, they just remove them. I understand as a private business they can do that, but why not explain to the users why? That way it avoids speculation. I am of course referring to the removal of the forum on GVE London that sadly has gone into administration. The conversation and the insight that was was being offered was illuminating. Surely something those at PistonHeads would want or have they something to hide?

Unfortunately we are not able to inform all members contributing to a thread why it has been removed, but this is something we can consider when we rebuild the forums next year. With that specific thread, there were so many posts in breach of our naming and shaming rule that we were forced to remove the thread altogether. We apologise for any frustration here, but this rule is also in place to help safeguard our members against potential legal action for defamation.

I sold two cars using the auction platform and was guided through the process from start to finish and owe a huge thanks to Rob. From arranging the photographs, producing the advert, the sales and follow up with the buyers was exceptional. Even though there were problems beyond their control, everything was resolved professionally and timely, despite being in a bank holiday weekend.
