I had a terrible experience at a store in Queensway/Bayswater, London couple of week ago. The so-called manager, Kate, total lacked ethics and qualifications for her -misused- position. She defended her rude staff and lectured me about respect, yet she was inapt to handle the situation appropriately and became discriminatory towards me for expressing my unhappiness with the staff disrespectful behavior.
It is truly concerning and shocking that the staff managers are not properly trained to handle complaints and are consistently using their position to cover up the staffs wrongdoing. This goes against and breach the business trade of code ethics , reflects poorly and an embarrassment on our high street.
The store has high prices but very low standards, showing little regard for customers and are only focus on their staff wellbeing . This must be time for better businesses to replace Planet Organic for good, which is already losing popularity.

Planet organic is just not a great business. Not the staff themselves, but the owner. I worked there previously and her ethos was that we couldn’t take home or buy discounted unused food at the end of the day because then ‘staff would likely set food aside to get it cheaper’, so effectively she treated staff like paupers and thieves. Similarly you had to throw out any excess from smoothies you made customers because ‘staff would deliberately make excess to get free smoothies’. So at the end of the working day we had to throw out stacks of perfectly good food. No idea if this has since changed, but I worked there two months and left. Poor pay and not a single perk - not even allowed one free coffee a day as a staff member and effectively called thieves and untrustworthy from the get go. For a company that’s name suggests to be about the planet, the owner didn’t seem to be thinking about the planet when we binned trays upon trays of unused food. I’ve boycotted it ever since and tell anyone I speak to about it to do the same. I would love to know if things have changed since then, but to be honest I don’t think it would change my mind - her opinion of staff back then shows enough about her character for me to want to ever support her business.

The Islington branch of planet organic is very inept. Please avoid it. Islington's branch really gives planet organic very bad name. Please be very careful with the products you buy as in some cases they are not what they say on the packet. False advertising. I bought a packet of discounted sweet potato rolls. I returned within 5 minutes to return the item as it didn't contain any sweet potato but wheat. False advertising. Their customer service is appalling. Please be careful buying anything in that store as after paying, they will ask, if you would like a receipt. Most people nowadays do not take a paper receipt as trying to go paperless. If items need to be returned, they will tell you that as you don't have a receipt there is no proof, knowing full well that they didn't give you one. They would then say they can't check it on their till as they don't have access. Very clever cop out tactic. The person that served me confirmed, I bought the items less than five minutes earlier. Mina who poses as the manager is extremely rude. She took the packet went into the back, brought it back (don't know what she did with it at the back) then tied the packet and asked me where it says “sweet potato” on the packet, even though the packet clearly states "Organic vegan sweet potato slab 5 -pack". She then stated that it's not their product. I bought it in Islington’s planet organic and it is still stacked on their shelves. Quoting her, she condescendingly claimed "the packet I bought was No Good, that's why it was discounted" Why is Planet Organic in Islington selling goods if they know it is, as she stated "No Good". Islington have the packet I bought and refused to give me a refund. They have the packet and my money. She took rudeness to another level, that even the staff just stood back and watched her drama. The Islington branch refused to give me a refund, even though the check out person that served me stated it was less than 5 minutes since the goods were bought. They kept hold of the packet. I proved that I paid for it as its on the phone. The Islington branch need to be retrained in customer services as they are appalling. Not a good store to shop in. PLEASE AVOID IT.

So there is phone number to customer service
After my review here I got the phone call from not a nice “manager” from Islington branch telling me how dare I dropped the email outside the working hours! Working hours ! Probably the shop is the same
That is no hereabouts custom. Always read the trustpilot reviews before placing the orders!

You know there's no where else you can go in terms of buying quality food that's organic.
I see some people complaining about them being expensive and they went to Wholefoods Market instead. Seriously? If you want to support AMAZON, the company who purchased Wholefoods in 2017, go ahead.
I'm here to support local small business!

Totally overpriced, no ethics, just profit in mind. Also, products get less and less, I would not be surprised if it closes down soon, but also not sad, they are clearly on the greedy side.
I love the staff at your Westbourne grove store. Adao is so friendly and always happy to help anyone. Mahsa and Marc too are very friendly.
Wish you luck on your next location ;)

Terrible service. They don’t respond to emails. My order wasn’t delivered so got sent back to them in the end. I asked that they sent out with Royal Mail as DPD are incapable of delivering anything, but they didn’t respond. 🙁 never ordering from this company again. They also have no phone number to call.

I ordered a bunch of vitamins and supplements. They used DPD as their carrier. DPD delivered to someone else - no idea who because their ‘proof’ photo is of a door I had never seen before. Even though not my responsibility, I have wasted time trying to chase this down but still don’t know where my package is. Planet Organic is telling me I have to wait up to 10 business days while they investigate. Not my problem. I paid Planet Organic to have certain goods delivered to me and they failed. I’ve got nothing and they’ve got my money. Now have to spend time contesting charges. AVOID.

This company behaves in a disgraceful manner. They send emails to incorrect email addresses, deny customers refunds even though it is their legal right to have products refunded and share sensitive customer information with external parties which is against GDPR.
You can tell that the poor customer service is pervasive, as evidenced by their snarky replies to other customers on this site. If only I'd checked the Trustpilot reviews beforehand
Their financial problems and store closures are truly poetic justice.

The staff are capable of saying yes or no, and that’s about as far as they go. It was one of those “ if it’s not on the shelf we don’t have it …. “ Most of the things I needed were out of stock. No effort to advise or suggest alternative products. When I went to pay the two staff too busy chatting and didn’t stop when I made payment. Won’t be going to the Chiswick store again.

I was a pioneering supplier to Planet Organic from 2008 and built up a niche sector over 500 demos at their various stores up to the point when I had a life-threatening accident in 2016, which shut down our production and I was bed-ridden for a year.
When I was finally able to mobilise with crutches I had to take our products back in to their head office in Westbourne Grove to be considered for relisting as a new team of grocery buyers had taken over. Against all odds I somehow made my way in on public transport hanging a box of samples in a carrier bag off one of the crutches (I could not drive), but I was committed to being back on both mine and my company's feet a.s.a.p., and a key part of this was to get my listing back at Whole Foods and Planet Organic.
On arriving I was literally collapsing from the pain and exhaiustion in my broken back and fused ankles which had become inflamed with the effort of getting to Westbourne Grove by bus, tube and another bus. I asked for the chilled buyer and was led to the cafe area to sit down and waited 15 minutes before she finally came out of the office.
Before I could introduce myself she said "I'll take these and get back to you" in a brusque tone as if to infer I was a nuisance and walked off before I could say anything. Suffice it to say I never heard anything more and lost my listing that I had spent 8 years building up which newbie competitors in my sector were given instead.
It remains to this day the most shocking, hurtful and shabby treatment/experience I have ever endured since I launched what is now a very successful sector for Planet Organic in the UK 21 years go. It frankly left me traumatised in the taxi I had to arrange to get me back home.

Terrible customer service. If you're a fan of organic products, I'd advise against supporting this store, at least until they address the behavior of one of their employees, Christina, a woman from a European country. She showed zero respect to my mum, who is a tourist in the country.
My mum was impressed by the store's setup and the range of products they offer, so she decided to film a video for her social media page, as she is a tourist vlogger. However, Christina spoke negatively about my mum behind her back, and unfortunately, I overheard it. When I confronted her, her attitude was even worse, and she didn't attempt to apologize for her behavior. She's a terrible employee. Hiring someone with such a bad attitude will only harm your store's reputation in London.

Terrible service. I bought medical probiotic (symptove). It was delivered to 242 - I am at number 10. . My neighbour brought them to me after 2 days. I
Didn’t feel comfortable ingesting something that had been hanging around at a mystery address for 2 days. Planet organiic customer services refused to help arrange for DPD to return the item to them. They insisted that I should pay the return shipping myself to obtain a refund. It’s worth noting that trust pilot require proof of transaction to validate each review- this review has been authenticated. Anyone can see from a simple google search that planet organic do in fact sell symprove.

My recent visit to the Planet Organic store in Notting Hill left me utterly disappointed with the customer service. As I browsed for Christmas presents and sought advice on the Neom range, the sales assistant seemed preoccupied with another customer purchasing supplements from the Pure brand.
Despite patiently waiting for the other customer to finish, the assistant abruptly redirected him to the main cashier tills, suggesting she had closed her till well before the store's closing time. When I attempted to seek assistance afterward, the staff member chose to prioritize the previous customer despite other available staff at the main tills.
Promises of returning shortly for assistance went unfulfilled, leaving me waiting for five minutes, only to find the same staff member engaged in casual conversation with colleagues while the section she worked in remained unattended.
This lack of attentiveness and disregard for assisting customers not only affected my shopping experience but also highlighted a severe lapse in proper training or staff allocation. It's disheartening to witness a decline in service quality due to inadequate staffing choices.
I hope this feedback prompts Planet Organic to reevaluate their staff training and ensure better customer service moving forward.

Purchased a few vitamin supplements from Pure brand, the products' best-before date were very short, one of them was only 3 months. Planet Organic should let us know about the super short "best before" date before we buy on the website.
