Concerns of Prize Awarding
Hi, getting frustrated at how the prizes are awarded. Seems to be a disproportionate being awarded. I just checked on 3 players and noticed that somehow they continually win. Please check the prize winning page in Playtopia.com
At one point there was a limit to the number of tickets that could be purchased to keep those with large sums of money from flooding the prizes. Then it seems to have been withdrawn.
Also, many other members say "why bother"the same people always win. Seems like Carrom is receiving a salary from you guys (6 $50 Global Gift Cards from now to July). Let's find a way to make it more fair for the general membership. I am very frustrated. Maybe say you can't win more than once every 30 days and limit the amount of tickets to invest in trying for the prize. I am trying with your local administration before I see where else I can take my concerns.
I've enjoyed Playtopia and even won a prize or two over the years but lately it seems to be out of control.
Support's (Local Administration) response to me was it was totally random. Guess certain players must have millions upon millions of points built up.
Those are my thoughts.

So first and foremost thank you for your concern on our page. I can tell you that we do not offer any salary to our admins on the page. Carrom simply wins because he participates in all competions with gift cards and then happens to win from time to time.
Between us there are not that many people competing on the Playtopia.com site for the prizes like the gift card. So its easier to win here than some of our other sites.
We already have a limit of 25.000 tickets pr competion. So that everyone has a chance. However someone that played for a long time and plays a lot have a lot of tickets. So they can still throw more at a competition than others to have a better chance of winning. That is how the system was made many years ago and still workds today. Play more, get more tokens, have more tickets for the lottery to win.
About the lottery - we use total randomness. This means that it is completly random who wins the lottery. The only thing the machine does is it takes all of your tickets and draws a single one and that person wins. That means that someone that only buys 1 ticket still have a chance of winning. It also means the same person can in theory win 10 times in a row. The odds a slim but they are there.
What you suggest is to remove the randomness factor and instead put rules up so its not random anymore. We get why that sounds like a good and fair idea. But it is not. Cause if you won and its 1 gift pr month you will stop spending tokens for a whole month. And then when the month pass you have saved so many tokens that you will have the advantage again.
Its a big question and someting we discuss regularly here at Playtopia. How to run the best and most fair prize page. I can inform you we work hard to make it so its fair and equal for anyone.
