Man with a Van

Found my man with a van using Plentific back in March, I was more than happy with both the mover and the website. Secure payments, guarantee on the job, selected quality professionals. Would definitely recommend it!

I was particularly unhappy with being misled and overcharged.

I was particularly unhappy with my recent experience. I was overcharged and misled in my most recent job.

I spent £90 for the job (issue with my electric boiler) to be investigated through the Plentific site. The engineer arrived and identified the issue was due to the fuse being out. He then replaced the fuse successfully. He then asked for an additional £100 for the job. I mentioned that I had already paid for the £90 and he stated that he was not getting paid anything from the Plentific site. I did acknowledge that I need to pay more for the fix but not £100 for merely replacing a fuse? He persuaded me that he was not getting paid for the job from the Plentific site and that the £100 was for the check and fix. He suggested that I phone his manager to get my £90 back. He said that I should pay him directly outside the website to ensure he got paid.

In the end, I had to pay the £100 and mentioned that I needed to phone the manager to get my £90 back. I spent the £100 from another site. I called the manager, and he stated that the engineer was getting paid and the £100 was for fixing the issue. I feel unhappy with the service for two reasons:

1. The Engineer misled me
2. I paid £100 for a change of fuse.

Additionally, the engineer only fixed the water and did not repair my heating. The engineer promised he would come back to me on replacing the thermostat but never came back to me.

Overall I was not satisfied with this job I would not recommend Plentific to anyone.

Plentific is a fantastic concept but the quality of workmen is not guaranteed

Plentific is a fantastic concept, the only downside is as a consumer you can't tell the quality of the workman. I wanted a carpenter to build a simple door architrave. The workman responded very quickly with a very low quote. Before he even came to my house, when I spoke to him on the phone, he tried to push the quotation up. He then came with the wrong material and had to come back the next day. When he had finished, it became clear to me he wasn't a carpenter and had no idea how the work should have been done. However, he insisted very aggressively on taking the money. I was extremely disappointed by the job.

Exemplary commitment to customer service

I had some problems with the company that I had first contacted through Plentific to carry out emergency plumbing repairs. When I contacted Plentific about this their support was immediate and superb. They investigated the work of the other company, and immediately arranged for another company with excellent bona fides to come and complete the job, at their cost. This was all sorted out within a matter of hours, and communication was superb. So the cover and protection for customers provided by Plentific is, in my experience outstanding. If you don't have your own contractors that you trust, it makes sense to source through Plentific, since if something does go wrong, they really do seem to sort it out for you. I was MOST impressed.

After 4 attempts to get a local plumber …

After 4 attempts to get a local plumber & they did not have the decency to turn up.
I saw your name on the internet & got in touch with PLENTIFIC who found me a plumber. Every step of the way was succesfully followed on to the end of the job.The called & gave a quote & the job was finished in 1 week.
I will certainly use PLENTIFIC again instead of having the hassle of finding someone who does not turn up

small job well done at reasonable rate

Very fast response from several keen experts. Some honestly said the job was too small, but having made an arrangement with Sam, he came promptly, diagnosed the problem and returned as arranged to fix it. the site was easy to use.

I am renovating a 2 bedroom house in west london (uk) via this website. Bdw I have no idea what am doing so I got a book and started hiring people to fix the place. I’ll post video and picture as well as contact of all the traders I used. This website is a life saviour right now. How did people renovated houses before when you are as lazy as me.......no idea

Marketing marketing marketing

To be honest it’s a great platform to gain work from, however I live in Skegness and it seems that unless you live near London you haven’t got a hope in hell of getting any work which is a shame, you really need to increase your marketing strategies to cater for this as I literally have had nothing In my area since I paid for my gold account nearly a year ago, so that has just been dead money to me. Please please please sort out your marketing and you’d have five stars form me but all I have at the minute is lighter pockets and nothing to show for it.SHAME😞

Quite good

Not bad and worth joining. Can work out difficult to get smaller Jobs when competing with tradesmen from differnt sites but still worth being a member of.
