Goodbye Pogo

I had been a Pogo member since October 2000. One of the first members. I've seen many changes, some good, some bad. The jackpot spins were great. A couple of my sisters even won some money. Not much, $10. Pogo also had a system where the members could cash in tokens and try to win jackpot spins. That was discontinued. I still played games on Pogo and very much enjoyed them. Loved the minis! Loved the tokens and am sad the tokens are being taken away. Pogo will never be the same when 250,000 members would play and chat. Hardly anyone visits the site now. I also have cancelled my membership. Tokens were wonderful. Sadly, goodbye Pogo! ☹️

I use to LOVE Pogo.

I use to LOVE Pogo. I played for over a decade. The games, the tokens... the minis, chat. Now it looks like not only have they removed everything that made Pogo fun but they even changed the way badges looked? Wow... Pogo will always be a great memory for me. But this new Pogo is a joke. Yea, you can switch to classic.... but it doesnt stay classic for long. It switches back if you click on anything on the site. Also like I said, most of the things we enjoyed are gone. I really loved the jackpot spins too, I never won... but just knowing there was a chance.... well it made things exciting. Shame... you had a actual gem, and you are ruining it.

cancelled my pogo account after…

cancelled my pogo account after restarting it a couple of months ago. All my favourite games are gone replaced with games like candy crush. So you pay for a subscription and then they want you to buy gems when you cant complete a level. all of their games are pretty much level based now...

Disappointed & unhappy

Disappointed & unhappy

I've been playing POGO for over 12 years & was a paying member until a year ago. I didn't renew because the games I played (Bridge, Jigsaw Detective, Hangman Hijinks, and Word Whomp Whackdown) were removed.

Subsequently more of my favorites changed to where they were only available with Flash (Dominoes and Monopoly). Furthermore, I haven't be able to play Monopoly for the last 2 days for reasons unknown.

Playing a single game of Word Whomp takes 15 seconds to 2 minutes. Now after each game, I am forced to sit through a commercial that lasts 5 seconds (if I'm lucky) to 1+ minutes, a ratio completely disproportionate to the amount of play. Now you can only play one game unless you sign up to become a paying member of POGO.

Bottom line, I am disappointed and unhappy and am glad I didn't renew my subscription.

Pogo sucks

pogo POGO now
Postby Grabby337 » June 10th, 2020, 5:24 pm

I have loved playing pogo for many many years. The games I play (ed) were spades, chess and risk. The people that developed these games knew what they were doing. They did a good job of making a good product and I am sad to see it thrown out for a child like replacement. Know your customers POGO. You can blame not keeping the original content because of Flash not being supported but why not try to develop something similar. OK NEW COKE. CHANGE WHAT YOU WERE DOING RIGHT JUST FOR THE POGO OF IT. POGO gets rewarded again. RIP pogo.

I have been playing Pogo for over at…

I have been playing Pogo for over at least 10 years, and for the first time I hate POGO. Seriously who designed this mess, they should be fired! I was happy to see Canasta made the cut, but after I paid for Club Pogo just to play Canasta I was highly disappointed. ITS BORING!!! Not just Canasta, but the whole set up makes me wanna puke. I'm calling someone to get my money back because I dont want to pay for Pogo, it sucks! Some things aren't meant to be changed.

The new POGO early access experience is…

The new POGO early access experience is awful. I’ve been a subscriber for over ten years, but not anymore. EA took a simple, friendly, game sight and turned it into a confusing, unfriendly, money oriented sight. Most of my favorite games are going to be a thing of the past; I realize changing web technologies are out of your control, but I’m sure those games can be altered to conform. No more tokens to signify progress, chat will be cumbersome if at all, and more games will lead into "Play for Pay". Having to buy hints, turns, or as I call them, "CHEATS" is not playing a game but buying a win and is just a money making scheme and earning the company much more than just the subscription fee.
I've met some very nice people in the chat rooms here, but when my subscription is up in a few months, I'm outta here – You can keep your Pogi's, difficult sight navigation, doing away with popular games and deceptive practices - I'm saying goodbye – No renewal here. Oh – and please don’t ask me to contact your direct support team – I’m not interested in what they would have to say.

All the fun games are gone

All the fun games are gone, tokens done away with, killing any reason to progress through games to earn them. It's all about money with this site now, not worth the money at all.

The new Pogo is awful

The new Pogo is awful. The games are similar like Tri Peaks and a lot of my favorite games are gone. You can no longer chat with friends. I was gone for a long time and came back because of the stay at home order. I am sorry I joined. Most games I hate and most I like are going away. Even bowling where you can chat is going away. Why are they removing the chat from all the games. In today's technology I would think they can make the games anyway they want them to be. They gladly take our money but give us nothing for it. I will quit again soon. I paid for books of games to play over and over but those are gone. The games are no longer on Pogo. Do you listen Pogo to what we want. Bring back the old games.

Terrible company

Terrible company. Forced me twice after rejecting my password - to reset. After logging in with the reset password, forces me to create a new username and I lost the subscription I bought. It is utter BS. I am fighting to get my money back.

POGO- FIX THE PROBLEMS OR GIVE REFUNDS

I don't understand how it is that for 12+ years I have been a POGO member and have played Scrabble with no issues. Then they do this upgrade, get rid of all of my points, reformat everything and now there are sooooo many glitches in Scrabble that you literally get kicked out or the screen freeze over 75% of the times. You are forced to pass your turn for no reason other than the screen locks. It prompt you that you are out of time when that is not correct. Fix the problem or refund your members their fees. You know there is an issue based on reviews and feedback, and you are choosing to ignore your customers.
