Very personal and efficient service for the sale of property from 11/07/2025 to
03/10/2025.

And once again I have been another victim of porter dobson I wished I had read reviews before employing them but as I was griving and not not myself at the time I failed to read reviews

They seem very good in property cases but in Wills and Probate cases it's a big No

I have been overcharged for unnecessary work conducted and to no conclusion on my contested will case to the fact I had to resort to employing another solicitor's firm who got the probate lifted in half the time and a fraction of the cost I would like to stress anyone who has been in a similar situation to take them to the Legal Ombudsman which is what stage im at at the moment

We used Porter Dodson solicitors for a property inheritance and transfer of deeds, mainly dealing with Reena Raval she was absolutely brilliant,friendly, professional, and always kept us informed and answering any queries, often out of "office hours"— she made the whole process so much easier and stress free

Katie and Shannon from the Taunton Branch were both great! Super helpful and thorough. kept us updated and informed at all times and made the process enjoyable and smooth! Would definitely use them again for any sales or purchases in the future!

I had a complex sale involving cladding remediation, the Building Safety Act 2022, and much more. I tried local solicitors who turned down the work as being too complicated, beyond their PI insurance, etc. Then I found a blog post, by H.H. of Porter Dodson down in sunny Somerset, which claimed she could do it . . . and, ably assisted by S.R., she did!

I have the utmost respect for H.H.'s and S.R.'s knowledge, professionalism and determination to get things done, and I'm pleased to publicly thank H.H. for sorting out all the complexities, dealing with a somewhat sleepy solicitor at the other end, keeping at it and making the sale so much easier for me than I thought it ever could be . . . and after many months of work, not charging any more than her initial quote!

Absolutely shocking experience from the solicitors I was dealing with. Wacked on a massive sum for a re-mortgage when I only ever instructed them on a transfer of equity. Cost me thousands extra in fees and handled it all so poorly.

Having researched specialist intestate solicitors, I contacted PDS and explained my role as administrator and that I needed legal advice as well as assistance. I was immediately put through to a senior solicitor whom , after lengthy discussions and negotiated fee, was instructed to represent our unknown relative and all that it entailed.
I asked how long this business would take and it was carefully explained in layman’s terms how heir hunters play a major part and this can take years.
Contracts were signed, and within days of having received all the paperwork, they were back with a rough calculation of time scales, disbursement costs (included in the fixed fee); important immediate tasks that needed to be done such as insuring the empty property; protecting the property; valuing the property and assets, etc etc . Of course I questioned everything and indeed was permitted to gather quotes and discuss best price and practise, making my role feel respected; listened to and valued.
I cannot fault their attention to detail; their communication skills and professionalism. Furthermore the “don’t hold me to this but could be 18 months “ was exactly that and all beneficiaries have received their windfalls with a bitter sweet gratitude from an aunt whom,sadly, few of us had ever known
