Brilliant service from Martin Ash and Kieran would definitely recommend!

I recently had a leak at my flat and Adeola at Portico was really helpful and proactive in arranging a plumber and proactively updating me to ensure it was dealt with very quickly. Many thanks to Adeola and the Portico team.

The Sales Team Shaun, Leigh and Adam from the Woodford branch provided an efficient, reliable and friendly service, we felt supported by them when our original buyer pulled out, their commitment and determination guided us through the alternative auction route to ensure that we secured the home we intended to buy. We greatly Thank them for their professional advice and the enthusiasm especially Shaun had to make our sale a success.

In the 2 months that Portico had my house on the market they have:

1. Falsely marketed the property by putting negative and erroneous information on to the promotional advertisement.
2. Failed to amend advertising information on the property after numerous requests
3. Demonstrated a distinct lack of expertise in respect of non-standard buildings
4. Claimed they had a prospective buyer despite failing to perform the most basic qualification of ability to buy

The biggest issue which illustrates how untrustworthy this organisation is:

5. Changed a signed contract after signature to reflect more favourable terms for them after failing to generate any serious interest in the property within the agreed period of sole agency.

Avoid like the plague!

My review is from the tenant’s perspective.Unfortunately my experience with portico Woodford wasn’t good.
During my tenancy term, I found them to be a landlord focused team. Important fixtures / repairs like malfunctioning of door locks was refused by saying that the landlord doesn’t agree so Portico can’t help.
Upon following up on complaints reported on Portico’s portal, our property manager Annaliese would raise her voice and ask us to wait till landlord gives a go ahead for the repairs (which unfortunately didn’t happen during the entire tenancy term)
At the end of the tenancy term, portico attempted to keep the security by publishing an out dated check out report. Thankfully by disputing the case with TDS, I was able to recover the security.
A small tip for anyone using their services is to try to get hold of the check in report as soon as you move in the property so the tenant has a record of the property condition at the start of the tenancy. Portico won’t share it with you and at the end of the term they will try to establish that damages were done to the property by you. Also, please do all correspondence with portico Woodford in writing (over an email) because only then you will be able to establish that you have been reporting the property issues timely to them.
At the time of disputing the security with TDS you will not be able to prove the log of conversations that happened over phone and portico will deny of any issue reported.
I was able to recover my security because I had kept the evidence of every correspondence else I won’t have lost my security because portico did attempt to present fraudulent evidence to TDS

I had the pleasure of working with Adam, I must say that he was a true professional. He was always available to answer any questions I had, and he made sure that I was comfortable with every step of the process. Overall, I would highly recommend Adam to anyone looking to buy or sell a property. His professionalism, knowledge, and attention to detail make him an excellent choice for anyone in need of a reliable and trustworthy real estate agent.

We sold our family home via Daniel Cantle and his team at Portico and they have been an absolute dream to deal with. Daniel is very thorough, knowledgeable and extremely professional and although we lost a buyer whilst we took and age to find a property to purchase there was no pressure on his part.

Estate agents don't always have a good reputation but Daniel is one of the good ones and we considered him to be more of an advisor than a salesperson.

Can't recommend him and his team highly enough.

We had the option to go with several letting agents when we finished refurbishing our property in Woodford Green and glad we decided to choose Portico as Chris and Ash have been really efficient, very professional and most user friendly throughout the process. They had tenants viewing the property the next day after the property was advertised and the first couple rented the property - the team at Portico made the process very easy. Would recommend them totally if you are looking to rent a property.

Portico were great when it came to getting our flat sold, particularly Daniel and Natalie. They did exactly what they said they were going to do at every point, and made the whole process much easier. Thanks!

The whole Portico team have been incredibly professional. I have rented and since sold a property with them, particular thanks to Daniel on the final transaction. At times it’s been a hard transaction but Portico smoothed this all out, and were always available to help.
