I would rate it at 0 if I could

I would rate it at 0 if I could. For a 1 lev exchange transaction I was charged 2 fees - one for the amount of 43.03lev and another for the amount of 39.12lev. To make matters worse, my transaction wasn't even processed and it was returned... only the return of it was 0.99 stotinki. This bank is a complete joke and I don't understand how it's allowed to operate with such absurdness.

Account closed with no reason and no previous warning

Postbank is not only and so far the worst bank in Bulgaria but in the whole world! I had my account originating in PIRAEUS bank (Sofia Vitosha branch) since 2016, which provided a decent and reliable service. However, later Postbak Bulgaria acquired PIRAEUS bank during November 2019 and then banking services started going downhill.
Postbank Bulgaria has a completely impersonal customer service and international customers, i.e., people residing outside Europe, suffer many disadvantages including a very weak English language handling. It becomes mandatory to travel to Bulgaria for any transact as their remote operations are limited. Email "responses" and Call Center at the number +359 2 4816-6000 contradict most of the time and/or provide vague and imprecise information.
Suddenly and without a previous notice or warning I noticed a cero balance in my account and when inquiring by email I was informed that my account was closed on July 16, 2025 and that I have to request the reimbursement of my funds to the Financial Center of the Sofia Court.... After reaching the Sofia Court they stated that the recovery of funds in account closures is something to happen only by visiting the branch in person.
Dreadful and horrible "service" by Postbank Bulgaria!

I CATEGORICALLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BANK!

The management and customer service are absolutely unacceptable. It is absurd that in 2025 they are charging a 5 BGN fee for a simple transfer between a current and a credit account – this is pure exploitation of customers.

After they forcibly changed their app, I was left without access to my money. I live abroad and when I tried to seek help over the phone, instead of assisting me, they blocked my card as well. This is complete negligence and incompetence. I have never been so disappointed by a bank – there is a total lack of customer care, professionalism, and even basic decency here.

Don’t make my mistake! Avoid this bank at all costs!

Absolutely the worst bank in BG…

Absolutely the worst bank in BG according to my experience.
They ask you to visit their office in order to change your password instead to send you an email for password reset because they “don’t have such procedure”. Ridiculous!!! To visit their office for a password change! On top of that they have declined my transaction for no reason at all although I have verified it with their own bank token application. Carelessly declining me to use my funds when I need to. I’ve complained about it without receiving explanation.
Also they lied that they will send me a link to change my password and stopped replying to my emails. Think twice before you trust them. Any other bank will be a better decision than them. Disgrace. I have never experienced such bad service and ignorance from a bank. Total disappointment.
