On March 9, 2025 a brand new Air conditioning unit had been installed within the past month and immediately it did not function properly. Their Goodman product has not worked a month in almost a yr, and it was supposed to be registered because those are what my apartment complex utilizes throughout. I even emailed this company to no avail, and as of Oct 12,2025 this product hasnt worked a full month. Now , when the model number and serial number was put in, Discontinued product is what comes up. Between February and October of this year, a brand new unit has been discontinued. So now what, I have been in my apartment for a little over a year and havent had air conditioning for a full three months in the heat of summer down south with two baby toddlers, one challenged. Its the product used by my apartment complex. No customer service with a faulty product being sold as brand new.

I ordered a Simpson pressure washer from Power Washers Direct that was clearly listed as Model PS61041-S on their website. However, after placing it in the cart, the model number silently changed to PS60843, which I only discovered after receiving the wrong unit.

The product arrived damaged and showed signs of prior use — resealed packaging, tampered pump, and improperly stored parts. I followed all instructions during assembly and discovered water would not flow through the unit. I never even added gas or oil before reporting the issue to Simpson, who diagnosed a locked piston/rod and advised me to return it.

Despite providing photos and detailed documentation, the retailer refused to take the unit back. Worse, they initially approved a return and then reversed their decision without explanation. Their only "solution" was to offer me $75 to haul a 130+ lb machine over 45 miles to a service center — completely unreasonable.

Customer service was unhelpful and dismissive. I’m now filing complaints with the BBB and Illinois Attorney General.

⚠️ I cannot recommend this company due to their misleading practices, refusal to honor basic return policies, and poor customer care.

Bought a Kohler 20kW generator from Power Equipment Direct. Trusting them with my $6000 hard earned dollars. Kohler generator arrived in Houston via LTL truck the same week. Very pleased with PED!

My sub pump was delivered on time and perfect condition and I will buy from this company again no problem installing it and my basement is dry again the brand is Liberty pumps.
Installed it less than 45 minutes.

I ordered a generator from PED without doing any research on their customer ratings. Honestly, I might not have purchased from them given all the poor reviews, but I had such a smooth and positive experience that I felt I should post a review about it. First, they were able to sell me the particular model I was looking for when all the other major retailers were out of stock. Ultimately, there was a one-week back-order (they probably all get the generators from the same supplier), but the communication was great and I got multiple updates along the way. Once the order changed to "Shipped" status I had my generator in less than a week. The freight company that made my delivery was super helpful. They called me in advance to give me a heads up on delivery time and the driver even helped me put the pallet in my garage (something they don't have to do). The box and my generator were in perfect condition without a scratch. Maybe I was just lucky or maybe PED is making some strides to improve their customer experience. Either way, my experience was 5-Star.

scammers . . also on there site says they have a 5 star reviews from google when it actually is 2.7 Scammers avoid

I recently contacted P.E.D. Customer Service and had the pleasure of dealing with Rosanna who when out of her way to assist me with the shipping logistics of an item I had just purchased. I can't say enough good things about the professionalism and promptness Rosanna gave me regarding my purchase. I hope PED management acknowledges how valuable she is, she's a keeper. Thank you, J. Poor customer service from this company and they don't really care about the customer experience. I would not purchase from this company again and would not recommend them.

I ordered a compressor on Sept. 22, 2023. Website promised 2 to 5 business days delivery. Today is Oct. 3, end of day and I still can't get a direct answer on If I will receive this compressor, a tracking number or who to contact! Who is in charge there?

Do NOT buy from them if you expect any warranty service. They tout themselves as a dealer, but when it comes to warranty, they will not help you in any way. When the recoil assembly on our new Honda motor blew up, they gave us the Honda corporate number. Honda said it's the dealer's problem. Called them back, they said it's Honda's warranty, we can't do anything. There are no dealers in our area, which is why we bought this online. A complete failure to help us in any way. So any warranty on ANYTHING you buy from them means nothing because they do not assume the responsibilities of being a dealer.

Thanks to E-Comfort customer support Rosanne, Michelle, and Dennis. I received an incorrect part from their supplier. Through their efforts to resolve my problem, I received the correct part. The staff really went to work to get the issue corrected. For this reason, I will indebted to them & continue to order from them. My experience was excellent. The shipment issue was not their fault, but they made sure I got what I paid for. Service at 100% does exist!

Let the buyer beware
Purchased a generator from this company and it was defective. Instead of them sending a replacement or a refund they quoted there sales policy and said to call the manufacturer. They will not fight for there customer or help them in any way.

Ordered a Toro Leaf Blower/Vac and delivery was in 3 days when 4-7 business days are quoted for free shipping. Very satisfied!

This company has terrible customer service. Their carrier was worse than they were. I ordered a generator. The carrier contacted me to deliver between 4 and 6 pm but dropped in the street in front of my house in a cul-de-sac at 10am in the morning. The customer support person was rude and hung up on me. When I called Power Equipment Direct customer service they offered no support. Beware of the fine print. Curb side drop off a piece of equipment that is hundreds of pounds should not be in small print. Terrible experience. I will never buy from them again.

The whole experience was flawless. From start to delivery everything was as smooth as a babies bottom. My snowblower came just as described and right on time. No complaints here. Thanks Power Equipment Direct.

Forget this place! Sales person Karen lied to me about shipping! Talked with Jennifer in customer service got disconnected twice Talked with Olivia in customer service disconnected me. Talked with Stephanie in customer service and she promised to get issue resolved and get back to me same day Never happened. Called the next morning and they said she was off. Poorest excuse for a business I ve ever had!!! Stay away from them. They will lie to you and disconnect you if you ask to speak to a manager!!!
