In the beginning, I was very overwhelmed with the many online tax relief agencies that were popping up on my google searches.I reached out to a handful of them and without even seeing my tax data, I was unequivocally promised that they could easily enroll me in the "Fresh Start" program and get my tax debt “wiped out”.I am a very cautious person and with my tax situation, I could not afford to make the mistake of choosing the wrong company to represent me.I visited several financial sites that I had previously vetted and trusted and found Precision Tax through this process.By this time,I was getting plenty of pushy calls from the previous tax law firms whose websites I had visited.The Precision Tax staff from the very beginning were very professional and honest after explaining to them where I was with my back taxes (from 401K withdrawals taken out during COVID) going back to 2019.Long before my preliminary correspondence with Precision Tax,I was experiencing several devasting personal and family changes that were occurring in my life that plunged me into a very deep depression that our family and I still struggle with today. Our large 42K+ bill in federal back taxes to the IRS and another 22K for state was the last thing on my mind.I continued to receive IRS notices but simply couldn’t cope enough to act on any of it.I finally decided to find a legal tax firm who could make sense of it all after being informed that levies were just days from being put into effect.My personal PT case manager would call me weekly to inquire about paperwork that I had initially promised I would submit to the company.However, due to my unchecked depression, this task seemed like a Herculean endeavor that left me feeling defeated every time I even thought about beginning.Finally, after about a month without providing any paperwork to even start my case,I finally told my case worker what was happening in my personal life and the stagnation that these events were having on my ability to even get out of bed.I cannot describe in this single review the compassion, tolerance, and understanding that was shown to me.This one phone conversation initiated the real work that needed to happen and my case specialist slowly walked me through it every single step of the way.Going above and beyond, she even did all that she could on her end to avoid overwhelming me with tasks and excess document uploads.She checked on me often- always inquiring first and foremost about my physical and mental health and was so patient as I struggled to gather documents, figures and all the usual information the IRS requires.From the very beginning I was given a fixed amount of how much their services would cost with a written and very affordable schedule of payments with dates.Their billing department is also excellent and flexible when there were days I was unable to make that month's payment for their services.What this agency did was aggressively advocate for me when I was absolutely unable to advocate for myself to the IRS.Precision Tax protected us from any levies and wage garnishments and even negotiated the lowest possible repayment amount every month for the IRS to accept toward our large tax balance. I would also like to recognize SP, who took over as my case specialist and really pushed the IRS to negotiate our structured, very affordable monthly payments to the IRS during our hardship.I tried on my own to do this months beforehand,and was rejected by the IRS who wanted large monthly payments that we could never pay or the full amount due immediately.To Precision Tax Relief, I want to extend my sincerest and genuine gratitude for all who work at this honest, caring, and exceptionally talented and professional agency.For those seeking help, if you have any issues with the IRS; if you are being threatened with asset and wage garnishment no matter how big or small, I highly recommend that you give Precision Tax Relief a call or visit their website.They will not preemptively make outrageous or over-inflated promises to you (unlike the others I had previously researched).
