Charged us for NZ based accom from a NZ…
Charged us for NZ based accom from a NZ provider in USD and then when we cancelled refunded us in NZD not the USD amount they charged. Kept nearly $100 dollars for nothing. Good luck trying to communicate with them. Scammers.
Absolutely scam of a company
Absolutely scam of a company! I made a booking for my trip in Farroll Portugal when we arrived at the booking there was someone already stayed in there. They had made a booking with Booking.com the day before. My Priceline booking also had Booking.com on the email when I clicked on the Booking.com, it just took me to Booking.com website with no affiliation to my booking. After talking to some of the guests already staying at this place, they were able to show me all the contact that they had with their Airbnb and Booking.com providers. I had had nothing from Priceline in the run-up to my stay telling me what the codes were to enter the property and whatever else they can’t be contacted through email for customer service only a phone number and unfortunately if you have just bought data so your phone works abroad then I was unable to call this number but after looking at reviews they never answer anyway so therefore me and my husband and two children had to go and make a booking elsewhere. Luckily I got in touch with my bank and was able to give him all the details and show them the new booking that we had to make and they refunded me, but I would never ever in 1 million years ago with Priceline again.
This site is a complete rip off and…
This site is a complete rip off and hiding charges. I believed I was dealing with booking .com but they ghosted onto my phone. They have charged me over £60 on a £150 hotel in the uk for their agency charges, only seen when you pay the initial charge.
This is the reposne only available on the web site. I have no booking but have been charged £230 !!!!
Quote fromtheir customer care chatbot:
"I understand your frustration that your paid trip is not showing under "Find My Trips," and the phone number in your email confirms there is no trip on record.
Unfortunately, I cannot access or verify reservation details directly. Since you have already contacted the number in your email and they said there is no trip to be found, I recommend the following:
Double-check that you are signed in with the same Priceline account you used to book the trip.
Review any booking confirmation emails or receipts you have for details to confirm booking information.
If you haven't already, please contact Priceline Customer Care again at 1-773-922-6363. Explain that you paid for a trip that is not showing and that you've verified your account and booking details.
Since you are in the UK, calling this number may require international dialing. If calling is difficult, you may try reaching Priceline Customer Care through their Help Center or via email support links found there.
If you need, I can help guide you on how to navigate the Help Center or provide additional tips to gather booking proof to assist Customer Care.
Please let me know how you'd like to proceed!
THIS IS A VIRTUAL SCAM AND THEY USE TROJANS TO DEFRAUD
Horrible experience with a 3rd party…
Horrible experience with a 3rd party that Priceline use to charge you but won’t give the name of company. I never stayed at hotel, was told I’d get a refund, never did and Priceline wouldn’t give me a refund after they said they would. Don’t use Priceline.
Beware - a nightmare
Impossible to contact customer services by phone only AI chat, reference number and log -in supplied is not recognised so can go no further with complaint/query - this company is a 'partner' with Agoda based in Thailand and has been acquired by Booking Holdings in US who also owns Booking.com, confused? - I thought I booked hotel 7 days in advance through Booking.com as Priceline use their logo but as I didn't receive any receipt/confirmation rebooked 3 days later, receipt arrived this time within minutes. On arrival at hotel found I was double booked and was given details of Agoda's booking details to try and get a refund - which has proved Impossible.
This is a sister company of scammers hotelvalue.com
This is a sister company of hotelvalue.com which are one of the biggest scammers out there. They make your booking then add on huge fees which you only get to know about AFTER you have made payment. Avoid these two - also connected to getaroom.com. Impossible to contact or get a refund from, all in the scam together, avoid!
I booked a hotel with pool that didn’t have one!
I booked a UK hotel that Priceline stated had a pool. On arrival it did not! The chat bot suggested I speak to reception to resolve the problem!! Contacting the company is very difficult. I also had the stress of being told the room hadn’t been paid for. That part was sorted but I had chosen a hotel with a pool etc for a much needed relaxing break.
My experience with Priceline and Ace…
My experience with Priceline and Ace Car Rental was incredibly frustrating. When I arrived at Ace to pick up my rental, they had no vehicle available for me. Since it was the night before Thanksgiving, no other rental agencies had cars either. Left without options, I had to take a taxi for a 102-mile trip to my brother’s house, finally arriving at 1 a.m.
To make matters worse, when I called for a refund, I was informed that the insurance I purchased for the rental car—which I never even used—would not be refunded. While I understand that unexpected issues can arise, refusing to refund insurance for a car I never drove is beyond unreasonable. This was by far one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had.
Please beware of Priceline
Please beware! I booked a all inclusive with Priceline for Riu Palace Jamaica for a vacation in June 2024. I SHOULD HAVE CHECKED REVIEWS USING PRICELINE AND RIU PALACE BUT I DID NOT! Well right before my flight date hurricane Beryl ripped through Jamaica. Due to that I had to cancel my trip because there were no flights and who wants to be on an island during a hurricane anyway, right? Well in canceling I was given the run around from June until now (November) from both Priceline and Riu Palace Jamaica. They continued to promise a refund but just kept blaming each other as to why now in November I still do not have a refund or even a request to rebook my days for another time. They clearly just kept my money which was not small change and refuse to refund or reschedule days. PLEASE BEWARE OF THEIR SHAKY POLICIES IN PLACE EVEN WHEN THERE ARE NATURAL DISASTERS. I NEVER THOUGHT SUCH HUGE COMPANIES WOULD OPERATE IN SUCH A DISTASTEFUL WAY!! NO REFUND, NO RESCHEDULE, NO HELP, NOTHING!! JUST BLAME AND EXCUSES!
Priceline is not customer friendly
Priceline is not customer friendly. I won't advice anyone to book with Priceline because once you complete your reservation, your total payment is never refundable, change time of flight, seat, or no mater how dire your situation is. Therfore Priceline is just another unnecessary headache that is not worth it.

Be careful
Be careful, they are a little deceptive and will overcharge you. They added extra luggage fees onto my flight.
How validating to see other reviewers…
How validating to see other reviewers who encountered the same issue I have. After booking a one-night stay I discover, immediately, that the dates for the reservation were suddenly and inexplicably changed to a different day, weeks later. Priceline won’t help you, even if it was their faulty website that caused the issue. They’ll tell you to contact the hotel, who will either tell you contact Priceline again or laugh at you while they count your money. No cancellations. No date changes. Not even minutes after the booking. Not even from their own mistake. Customer service doesn’t exist here.
Passing Blame
I called Priceline about an issue I had with the airline, American Airline, that was used for my travel and for Car Rental, Hertz, that was used for my travel.
Priceline's only response is that I need to contact the other vendors even though I went through them to schedule these services. They simply pass the buck and are not helpful at all.
Avoid!!
Yes - avoid like the plague.
I booked a hotel with them that clearly stated that there was online cancellation available. When I tried to cancel, I was told that I had to contact the hotel directly - further, they didn't give any hotel contact information.
After contacting the hotel directly, and receiving cancellation confirmation, the reservation still shows up on Priceline's website. When I call their helpline (there is no email contact for Priceline or non-bot chat) it then cannot find, confirm or deny any associated reservation. I imagine that this crowd take a large share of hotel fees for providing a service - but for the life of me, I do not see what service they provide. I will never be using them again.
DON'T BOOK TROUGH THIS WEBSITE!!
DON'T BOOK THROUGH THIS WEBSITE!!
so I live in Australia and booked a nice little holiday for the low price of $296 in total for 2 nights. Made the booking, and the reciept charged me $400 in total, however it said ($400 AUD). So that means the price of $296 was shown in USD, not AUD. I tried calling the useless customer service; spoiler alert didn't work, so I had to use the AI bot service and they said 'You'll have to do the currency conversion manually'. I ended up calling the place and it said it was booked through Booking.com, and apparently Booking.com charged me $400. Even the staff at the lodge was confused on how low the price was. He even laughed, so don't bother with this useless company. Luckily Booking.com didn;t charge me.
I will NEVER use priceline again
I will NEVER use priceline again! Booked a hotel for vacation. Get to the hotel, and they put me in the back which is set up like a motel, doors facing outside. I asked for an inside room, and was told those rooms are for people that are staying 1 or 2 nights. Since I booked a week, I will be in the back. There was no lighting in the parking lot. Used the bathroom, toilet wouldn't flush. I asked for maintenance, and was told there wasn't anyone on property to help so they switched rooms, to an upstairs room woth no elevator. The a/c doesn't work in the second room. Was moved again. The third room, everything worked. Until the next morning... when the fire alarm started going off non stop for over 15 minutes. As soon as it started going off, I called front desk. Was told to disable it myself because there was no maintenance or housekeeping on property. It was 7am. Wth??
I called priceline and asked if I can transfer to a different hotel, and I'd happily pay the price difference - or cancel the reservationand I can fi d another hotel myself.
. I was told no. ONLY thing they could do was give me 15% off my next booking.
I WILL NEVER BOOK WOTH PRICELINE AGAIN! It's a damn shame I had to stay in this crappy ass hotel in an unsafe situation (being in the back corner where it is VERY DARK) and then knowing I'm in a strange city, and won't receive any help from the hotel staff.
My first vacation as an adult I'm 37! Finally able to afford vacation. And it was completely ruined by lack of help or concern from Priceline staff.
Seriously Priceline
Received an email on September 13th about a car rental that I did not reserve. Within minutes of that email I called Priceline finding out that someone had rented a car in the town I live in and that it was nonrefundable on their end and to call their partner. I called their partner (the car company) and they told me the same. After an hour of this kind of back and fourth I was told if I did not rent the car and the car was not picked up than after the week (which is how long the rental was for) they would than cancel the trip number. By the time all of this was said, my bank was closed so I was unable to call them at all. Thankfully the car was not picked up and the trip was cancelled however it took over 2 weeks to receive a parcel refund because the insurance on the car would not be refunded. Every time I called I was brushed off, customer service just talked in circles and did not really care about the frustration that the whole situation or the strain that it had caused. PRICELINE will say one thing and do another. DO NOT TRUST THEM.
NEVER TRUST PRICELINE OR BUDGET
Rented a car with budget rentals through Priceline. Both the Priceline website and budget phone service said I could rent a car with a debit card. Upon arrival I was denied the car I already paid for and denied a refund, claiming I NEEDED a credit card. Budget blamed their OWN call center and Priceline and basically admitted they will lie to get your money. After two hours I got a lesser car with no refund for the difference. NEVER USE PRICELINE. EVER.
can I give it zero stars ?
can I give it zero stars ?
priceline made a flight booking but made an error of one letter on the passenger's name. I caught it immediately and called to change it, very calmly as I thought it's a very small issue which can be resolved easily. however they told me the airline only allows name change 72 hours before the flight. I was surprised but just to be sure, I called the airline and confirmed the same. so I waited. 72 hours before the flight I called Priceline to correct the name, and now they need to contact the airline to change it, and they "called" and "emailed" the airline several times for a full 1 day and a half without any response. I called the airline myself and got in touch with them very quickly, but unfortunately I'm not allowed to change the name as Priceline needs to call to request it. it's a nightmare of bouncing the ball. so I called Priceline again, and they said they have authorization from the airline and will work on changing it. after another full day, they couldn't change it because they never had the authorization from the airline. now the inconsistency is beginning to sound very fishy and frustrating. even more so, Priceline tells me it's already "12 hours" prior to the flight and they can't do anything any more, I need to deal with the airline directly. I called the airline again, and they said they never gave the authorization, and Priceline needs to call. bare in mind, every time I call Priceline it's at least 2 hours, the wait time, the bad signal where I couldn't hear anything, and the "let me check the notes please wait a minute" or "let me speak with the supervisor please wait", and at the end they couldn't change the name they didn't end up doing anything actually. if I had known that, I could have canceled my first ticket immediately and bought a new ticket from the very beginning.
at the end I had to pay the penalty for cancellation and booked a new flight.
They don’t even deserve a 1 star…
They don’t even deserve a 1 star review. As a loyal customer who has spent ten’s of thousands booking thru this company I don’t care if I have to pay triple I will never use them again. I booked a hotel through hem and got a room that ended up not even having a working toilet. They refused to do anything to help me with the hotel. After finally getting the hotel to do a refund I’m being told it will be at least 72 hrs before I’m refunded but Priceline. So now I as a customer have to fork out more hard earned money for a hotel for the next 2 nights in hopes I will receive the promised money back. And because this happened on a Thursday it will be Monday or Tuesday before I see anything. They even had my email wrong and said they sent a 20% off coupon for my next booking to an email I had never even heard of. Don’t walk run from ever using them. I would rather pay $500 a night to holiday inn they ever give them another dime they are shady. And good luck understanding there customer service they speak very broken English
