Poor Company

Much ado about nothing.

Progress Software is a small, insignificant company that tries to feign size with a lot of PR.

Its core business is a proprietary programming language and database from 1981, both niche products.

The language isn't even listed among the top 100 in the TIOBE index anymore (as of November 25th). The old developers are increasingly disappearing from the market, and new ones are hard to find.

The remaining customers are mainly occupied with keeping the legacy code running.

Sales in Germany are so low that they refuse to publish them.

MoveIt, under progress.com, had their website compromised. My email address landed in the Dark Web on Oct 2023. Yet, I was not informed.

AVOID AND USE ALTERNATIVE

Was on held for 3 hours today to find out why i could not download the imacros personal edition i had paid for. The download link is down. Created a ticket but not response and 3 hours on the phone waiting to be connected.
