This company is a horrible SCAM

Title: Horrifying Experience with Promolife – Dangerous Product, Zero Accountability

If I could give Promolife zero stars, I would. My experience with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare — a dangerous, expensive, and emotionally draining ordeal that has left me feeling completely abandoned and scammed.

In January, I ordered a PEMF mat for $2,500 AUD to support urgent therapy for Stage 4 cancer. It’s now late May and I still do not have a functioning product — only an explosion hazard and silence from the company.

After four weeks of radio silence, I had to chase them up myself, only to be told that the product hadn’t been shipped at all because it didn’t come with an Australian power plug. Not only was this never disclosed at the time of purchase, but I then had to pay an additional $500 AUD for something as basic and essential as power compatibility. This added weeks of unnecessary delays — which, in my condition, are not a luxury I have.

Fast forward to nearly four months later, the mat finally arrives — and on first use, it literally blew up while I was laying on it. Smoke, sparks — the whole terrifying ordeal. If this isn’t a blatant health hazard, I don’t know what is.

Since then, I’ve begged repeatedly for a refund or replacement, and have received nothing but complete silence from Chris, the owner. Five emails sent, not a single reply. This is an urgent medical issue, not a casual purchase. Their disregard for customer safety, accountability, and basic decency is appalling.

Avoid Promolife like the plague. In my experience, they sell faulty, dangerous products, show no concern for their customers’ well-being, and completely disappear when held accountable. Shameful company. No one should have to go through this — especially not someone fighting for their life.

The worst consumer experience of my life

I had the worst consumer experience of my life with this awful company. I bought a really expensive ozone steam infra red sauna off Promolife which arrived from USA. The total cost was over $5000 with shipping an customs. The sauna arrived in a smashed up ripped up flimsy cardboard box. There was no Padding. No bubble wrap.
No protection
No fragile stickers
No hard cover, soft cover, or padding of any kind around the sauna to protect it. The cardboard box was totally smashed in, torn and dented
I contacted Promolife immediately and asked them to take it back as I didnt want something that had been smashed around so badly from USA to UK . Tobias Segal who I was dealing with refused. He said it was normal to arrive in a state like that! I told him it was likely broken as its a fragile item and arrived with zero padding or protection. He told me to take it out and plug it in. I told him I couldn't do that as I was staying in a moldy apartment and didnt want to expose the sauna to mold. On the first sunny day I took the sauna outside and following the advice of Tobias on the end of the phone, I plugged the sauna in. It didnt work. I again told him I needed to return the sauna and he needed to take it back. He again refused. He then told me I had likely blown the controller up as I needed a transformer before plugging it in - but he told me this AFTER he told me to plug it in and try it !! He then told me they would pay for anything if it was broken. Then went back on this, saying I would need to buy a new controller - at a further cost of £200!!

The sauna went into storage before I was unable to get a transformer to test it again due to moving country - a fact which Tobias knew. He told me to let him know when Id got a transformer to see if the sauna was working.
I moved country, the sauna went into storage and due to a pandemic, lockdown and not finding our home, the sauna has not been out of storage. To this day, the sauna has never been turned on. A transformer would have cost £150 and a controller a further $200.

I spent over $5000 on something that does not work.
The company were unhelpful and refused to allow me to return the item even though it arrived in a smashed up, ripped up, flimsy cardboard box.
The most expensive item Ive ever bought for myself as a luxury, arrived in appalling packaging. I received dreadful customer service, from a company that showed a total lack of integrity, compassion or customer care. Tobias was downright rude in many of our verbal exchanges.
This remains one of the worst consumer experiences of my life.
For something I hoped would be one of my best purchases ever!

I was left £5000 down, with a bad feeling and to this day I have had no resolution from this appalling company and transaction.

UPDATE: Im still trying to get resolution and this is Tobias Segal's latest comment to me after I requested a replacement controller, for which he refused, unless i pay a further $150!

If you change your mind about the controller please let me know.

Worst customer care Ive ever experienced.
Beyond shocking.
I will NEVER use this company again or recommend them to anyone
