I am an 81 year old with 6 BTL so not looking to develop my portfolio but I do find Property 118. slant on our industry
very helpful
I’m also in the Landlords association but nothing back from them as can be read in the 118 newsletter most months

Excellent web site for information and alternative views of the anti landlord crusade by Governments of both colours.

Try and read as much as I can to learn as much as I can. Property 118 is definitely at the top of my reading list! Not being a HMO landlord I just skim read those articles but even then I pick up bits of information that may be useful. If only some of the regular contributors could replace some of the less, how can we say politely, less helpful members of the government then landlording and business in general would be able to blossom. Big thanks to all you contributors, keep the info flowing.

An amazing resource. For anyone who is in, or even who is getting out of, let property, as I am, this is a MUST MUST MUST.

Excellent blog that I have used for many years vast range of subjects covered to suit all eventualities and situations. You of course can take as much or as little from it as you wish, but it provides a powerful resource when you are considering wide ranging issues affecting landlords. Will continue to use as a valuable basis for my decision making and would highly recommend

Excellent forum and insightful articles that not only support landlords in the day-to-day but also provoke strategic thinking and discuss some of the issues, potential solutions and alternatives that are out there. In today's private rental climate it's easy to become focussed and blinkered: responding to demands, fighting the fight, adapting to changes. Property118 helps with those, but also poses important and relevant questions in the context of today's climate, looks to the longer-term and speaks to the visionary entrepreneur in landlords (which we were once and can be again). Love it!

Despite being an NRLA member for over 15 years my go to is property 118. Mark Alexander has a huge knowledge of the property market and is not afraid to challenge certain aspects of the ever-changing government rules and regulations applying to landlords. The feedback from the forum is second to none with hugely experienced landlords sharing their situations and views on changes giving me as a landlord of 20+ years a better perspective on current situations.
