Cold showers - not an isolated incident
Showers always stone cold so decided to try another gym. Had to return to Puregym Rochdale after a while due to work commitments.. showers again stone cold. So this was not an isolated occurrence.
Had to complain to the management, how could they not have been aware of the problem? Am I the only one using the showers? Do they not operate regular checks on something as important as customers personal hygiene & welfare?
The management did listen to my complaint, they did communicate immediately and showers now at a reasonable temperature. So a satisfactory resolution from a responsive management team. But surely something as basic as providing a warm shower to clients is fundamental and this should never have happened.

The overall cleanliness of the gym is spot on! Can come and get your workout done without any hassle. The cleaner, Tony is very friendly and chatty makes the experience more relaxing always got a smile on everytime I see him around the gym.

Don’t look like the place had refurbishment. Not clean & equipment damaged. Prices have increased. Not worth it.

I feel relaxed here
Had a great induction with Paul. Very knowable and friendly.
Excellent gym with lots of kit to choose from. A great range of classes; excellent cycle class with Paul. Great LBT with Emma.
The staff are really friendly and always helpful. The PT’s are always around to give you tips on your workouts. Paul really knowledgeable with glute strengthening; Given some good glute strengthening exercises. If you are like me and prefer the glute Thrust Machine to using a barbell, you'll be OK here.
I feel relaxed here. Will recommend.

This gym is so easy to get into and use. I like the classes and the women's area in particular. Easy parking and great App for booking, access and information.

I do like the new set up and stuff in…
I do like the new set up and stuff in the gym. But I do think you need to change all the cardio equipment now most of it is 30 year old and odd buttons on them doesn't work and it's just old technology now

Sort the Treadmills
There are too many of the few treadmills out of action or faulty at any one time. Most frustratingly there are at least two -highlighted to the staff - that max out on speed below that shown on the monitor. Others default to a max of 20 mins rather than 60 and some don't have functioning buttons on the 'arm'. These issues have persisted since the refurb when you halved the number of treadmills

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken.

The air con in the fixed pin room is…
The air con in the fixed pin room is blowing cold, the male changing room is always blowing cold, the outside perimeter doors do not close due to unconnected wires therefore causing extremely cold weather to enter the gym when deliveries are made.

I would like to express my gratitude…
I would like to express my gratitude for Aymen as he was a valuable asset in Rochdale branch, and also would like to share my recent difficulties with training classes.
A few weeks ago Charlotte finished the pump class after only 20min and also cancelled the circuit class because of the number of attendees , while the other instructors are running the class even with 2 people but she asked us to leave circuit class on the 28th Oct -18:15 , it’s not professional way to skip the class!!!

Unavailability due to maintenance …
To be fair it's a few weeks since I visited Rochdale,however a large proportion of the gym was closed for maintenance it seemed to go on for some time. Not sure what the situation is now

Excellent Gym and Trainers
Excellent gym, clean, plenty of equipement and excellent timetable of classes. Wide range of classes put together so you can do 2 class back to back. Thre trainers at this gym are the standout. Professional, welcoming, warm and not afraid to push you to achieve your best. Shout out to Kassie, Klaudia and Paul for their classes and effort to help clients achieve.

Effective workout programme
I had a brilliant programme ,tailored made to my specific needs, each exercise explained very throughly . I really felt i had a good effective work out ,building my confidence around areas of the gym ,and also different exercises i had never used before ,looking forward to continuing this new programme .
