Worst customer experience
I had the absolute worst customer service experience of my life! I'm still waiting for my $1200 refund back. A quick sum up of the experience. I'm a bride, living in Dubai, wanting to order a lehenga choli for my wedding. Found their website, gorgeous dresses.
I checked the reviews, only negative comments about plus size extra charge. I went ahead and messaged them on Instagram.
The designer was lovely, very responsive helped with the design and even gave me a 15% voucher for the first purchase, plus the fact that they only allowed PayPal payments on the website and UAE dirham is an unsupported currency. So to make up for the bad fx rate, he offered a slight discount of 15% instead of 10%.
I went ahead and placed the order on their website with PayPal. And hour later he messaged me and said his PayPal account is blocked and he cannot access my money.
He said he doesn't have the money to start making my dresses, he doesn't know how to cancel the order on PayPal so I should just file a claim and I should get my money back in 8 days.
I'm super annoyed at this point and ask him why is his PayPal blocked. He then gives a very confusing story of him having 2 PayPal accounts and both of them being blocked, but if I sent the money via Western Union I could get my dresses. I'm shocked at this point that he was messaging with me for days helping with my order, not any point he mentions his PayPal being restricted. He let's me process the payment to his new account, knowing the other one is already blocked.
I naturally say no to sending untraceable cash payment to a foreign seller who's PayPal accounts have already been blocked by PayPal ( wonder why..) and ask him to either help me get my refund fast or talk to PayPal to release the $1206 I paid to him, so I can get my dresses. I ask him if he could send me a card payment link once I get my refund so I can get the dresses. He says local banks denied giving him a stripe account..... again I wonder why...The only way he could process the order, if I sent him cash through western union.
He is very nice and apologetic at this point, and says he will send me a gift once this whole thing is sorted. Then he wakes up next day, sends me a rude message saying he won't be able to fulfil the order because I'm a difficult client and I should just deal with PayPal myself and try to get my money back. He also says he was not going to reply me anymore.
But he does send a few more rude messages before blocking me on Instagram for good.
As the result I have to wait until the 20th of August to get my money back ( 12th of August + 8 days), that's 3 weeks from now on. At best I get my money back after chasing it for weeks. I spent days messaging with him before placing the order, he never at any point said his PayPal account is not working. PayPal cannot issue my refund faster because he is not responding to them either, confirming that he is unable to fulfil the order. He gains nothing out of it, except being spiteful and nasty. He wasted days/weeks of my life, put me through a charge back claim, and I have to wait 3 weeks to get my money back.
I have dozens of screenshot to prove all of this. Let me know if you wish to see them. But avoid this seller at all cost! He might be a good designer but he has no business or customer service skills.
