End of a Festive Era

I’m taking my turn entertaining this Christmas and thought a box of Quality Street would be nice. Of course, the “tin” could not remain unopened until Christmas Day and we had to sample them. I actually thought the sweets were off as they have a disgusting after taste and the texture of the so called “chocolate” is so grainy. Alas an end of an era - gone are the days of lying on the floor, belly full of Quality Street, looking through the coloured wrappers at the light. NEVER AGAIN!!

Honestly don’t buy these - sugar and muck

Honestly don’t buy these. the quality has even changed in the last couple of months. im not even that bothered by the wrappers but the taste is so poor now. i know chocolate prices are going up but this trade off is not worth it, I would have preferred to paid a tenner and they still taste better, now it’s just sugar and chemicals, yuk.

When will you stop robbing us!!!

I can’t believe how small the actual sweets have now become! We all knew the container has gotten smaller throughout the years but now the actual sweets are minute! We get these sweets at Christmas but with the dull looking sweet wrappers that we no longer can leave out, looking attractive, in a bowl as they’re just not Christmas anymore! Quality Street you should be ashamed of yourselves

Oh, so sad.

Quality Street was always a joy. The lovely shiny wrappers and the delicious chocolate inside. Oh dear, how they have changed. Now dull, tasteless and all seem much the same. Flavour has gone. Soooo disappointing. Last time I'll buy them. 😭😭

NEVER AGAIN

NEVER AGAIN.
I decided to buy these to have in the house over the festive period and I can honestly say I was shocked at how bad they were. Firstly you get barely any sweets in the plastic tub, then what used to be beautifully wrapped chocolates have been replaced with waxy looking paper wrapped disgusting flavoured sweets. I was actually thankful there were only a handful of sweets in the tub as I could not stomach more than one anyway, They literally tasted vile! So much so I checked the date on the side to see if had gone off but nope this is how they clearly taste now. The chocolate did not taste like chocolate at all and the fillings you could not differentiate one from the other. There was one purple one and what used to be my favourite got spat out into the bin. I will never purchase them again. Nestle you should be ashamed , what was once the nations favourite festive tin is now doomed forever.

I grew up with quality street, now more like lack of quality

I grew up with quality street, was a family tradition, would last all through Christmas well into new year. Just bought a box for this Christmas, what has happened! should be renamed 'lack of quality street'!
Box is 1/3rd of the size of what it used to be and when you open it, it's half full! Then don't get me started about the actual chocolates, is this the future, bring back the past! Not buying them again....one word, Rubbish....

End of a Christmas classic…

All good things come to an end & quality street chocolate FLAVOURED tin of sweets are definitely off my Christmas list for next year. The quality of there sweeeet selection is anything but moorish. As we all like something nostalgic at Christmas, I think Nestlé have failed miserably at producing this once Christmas classic.

So disappointed

So disappointed! I used to look forward to buying these chocolates at Christmas time and give them away as gifts. Not anymore. The quality of the chocolate, the flavors, the size, the wrapping has lost it's "quality". This is the last time I will ever buy a tin of these. The one I recently purchased had an unwrapped chocolate in it. Shame on you! You are charging more money for a tin of less quality chocolates.

I treated myself to a tin of quality…

I treated myself to a tin of quality street, very nostalgic for me , the tin was opened and the sparkling wrappers just danced before my eyes, so excited as a kid. What's happened? the dull paper, plastic box, smaller chocolates and the purple one, round, eh!!! and the taste is just not right. Will not buy again, another Christmas tradition destroyed.

Quality Street to Shi† Street

I bought a tub of Quality Street to leave for our Airbnb guests. I realised straight away what a big mistake the purchase was. It seems as though accountants have taken control of this beloved British chocolate brand. Every possible cost-cutting measure has been implemented.
1. The tin has been replaced with a plastic tub.
2. The contents no longer reach the top.
3. The wrappers have lost their festive shine and now resemble greaseproof paper.
4. Every type of chocolate has shrunk to half its original size.
5. There is no longer any enticing chocolate aroma when the lid is removed.
6. They taste excessively sweet and sickly, entirely lacking the genuine chocolate flavour.
Some clever-arse at Nestlé has figured out how to boost profits, but there's one major flaw... NOBODY WILL EVER BUY THEM AGAIN!

The wool has been pulled firmly over…

The wool has been pulled firmly over the eyes of consumers. Time for a rebranding. 'Poor Quality Street'.
Everything from packaging to content suggests profit above all else and the Emperor's new clothes is worn unabashed.

Yuk - never again

Wouldn’t normally review a tin (sorry, plastic container) of sweets we’ve bought for years because it’s Christmas but simply have to - they are horrible! Bland, don’t look or taste like chocolate and have even lost their individual shapes. Last purchase ever….
