What a misfortune to have picked Quickquid

What a misfortune to have chosen this lender.
I took out a loan (with outrageous interest but desperate at the time) and agreed to pay the three instalments. I have a medical condition and that coupled with a few unforeseen events left me in a financial pickle. I contacted Quickquid three weeks before my instalment was due to inform them of my situation and offer an alternate repayment arrangement. They refused to assist and instructed me to contact them only when the payment defaulted. The whole point of contacting them prior was to avoid additional fees. I duly wait and send another letter at the end of the month explaining my situation and offering an alternate repayment arrangement. They reject my offer and counter offer an outrageous amount that places me in a worse off situation! They also refused to provide banking details for a standing order.
Now I’m unable to make or receive personal calls during the day which I have explained repeatedly and they say they will no longer correspond with me on email, and instead contact me at my place of work which placed me in an awkward situation today.
I received advice that a lender cannot reject your payments and so I have gone ahead and setup a standing order ( found their banking details online). I wish I had checked reviews before using them. Please avoid using them, don’t be as foolish as I was. They lack understanding, sympathy, empathy and will definitely not go that extra mile for you.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Took out 100 pound to pay back 170 and thats not the issue, the issue is the payments were ment to be 24, 24 , and 120 so they take a first random payment of 46 from my bank and then the 24 two days later. I phone them to say what's going on with that, woman on the phone asked me if anyone else has used my card i said NO! I was really angry at this point she said it has to go to a fraud department, anyways took two weeks to get that 46 back, that's not the end though this month they have done it again! Random payment of 34 this time and 5 days later the 24 so will be phoning about this again can't wait to see what's going to happen next month! STRONGLY ADVISE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY RIP OFFS AND CANT COMMUNICATE WITH EACH OTHER!

Absolute crooks

Absolute crooks

I regret taking a small loan out now. I thought it was an easy solution (you know, the adverts make it look so easy). Not only am I paying £100 interest on a £250 loan but they charged me a £15 late payment fee.

I switched banks right after the loan and my banks did the switch process. I even had an email from Quick Quid confirming they acknowledge the change in my bank. So you would think that everything would be ok for the first payment right? no.

They contacted me to say that the payment had bounced and that I was being charged a fee of £15 for missed payment. I contacted them about this and they said that although they had the details, the monthly payment is taken from your debit card NOT by Direct Debit. This is even though I have an email confirmation of a direct debit instruction to my new bank account.

I disputed this but they were adament I had to pay the £15. I paid it but it is totally wrong and out of order. They wouldnt even have been able to take the payment out of my previous account by debit card even if it was active as they didnt have my 3 digit security code. I dont understand how they did this!

I cant believe I was such an idiot to take out a payday loan in the first place.

On April 17th I made a £550 online loan…

On April 17th I made a £550 online loan with QuickQuid, agreeing on 3 installments £57.20, £136.40, £677.60 over the next 3 months - totalling £871.00. It's a daylight robbery as such already, but fine, these were the agreed terms.

I paid the first but a month later I had to have an unexpected surgery, I was diagnosed with a spinal tumor (benign fortunately) and 31 May I went to the hospital. This was a major surgery, 1 week in the hospital and another 2 months at home, on a £92 a week sick-pay that didn't even cover my rent.

I contacted QuickQuid and sent them an email explaining my medical condition, with copies of doctor's note. I explained I can only repay the 2nd and 3rd installment (£136.40 + £677.60) once back at work and suggested repayment of 2 equal halves £406.50 on my September and October wage.

Now I'm receiving emails my payment is overdue £1042.80 !!! I called them today (I'm finally back working) and I actually was willing to pay in full, the 2nd and 3rd installment to get this over with. They are absolutely unwilling to emphatize, take into account any mitigating circumstances, insist on the £1042.80 which is horrible for a £550 loan 5 months ago.

It's not only the money itself it's their unwillingnes to understand human point of view. I regret ever signing with the devil

Please take my advise, STAY AWAY. These are some horrible horrible people

Quick quid no issues thanks again

I have been a customer for several years with quick quid . They have helped me when needed. There process has changed over the years and they need more proof but this is safe guarding them. If you are truthful on your application then everything should be ok .

They have also helped when I could not make my payments on time with no issue.

The interest and fees as clearly stated and if your not happy don't take the loans.

Always declines

Always says no to me, Needed a quick £100 for an emergency over a period of a week, I can get a £2000 loan anywhere and did after they said no, but quickquid/poundstopocket declined me for £100 yet when i applied elsewhere my maximum loan offer was £2000. After reading the reviews i'm glad they did. No explanation as to why it declines, i have a good credit score, maybe this is the problem who knows. Makes me wonder why someone with excellent rated credit score always gets declined !

Horrible experience

Horrible experience. Applied for a loan and was accepted for a loan of up to £200. I took out £50 but then realised I should have took the full £200 so called and asked to increase it by another £150. They said this could not be done, they said I needed to pay the £50 back and then apply again for £200 as I couldnt have 2 loans at the same time, which is fair enough. I repaid the £50 the very next day with the interest which was less than £1. I submitted a new application and was declined as I had a poor credit rating and told I couldnt apply for any more loans for 30 days. Seriously!!!!

Talk about pushy

I started filling in a loan application with them, but when I realised they are one of these companies that want all the online login details for your bank account, I stopped, because I won't touch those. Since then I have had a stream of emails, texts and robo-calls urging me to complete the application, and actually saying my loan is being processed, which it can't be because I didn't submit an application. The texts and emails always come in the middle of the night, so it's lucky I have my notifications set to silent. I dread to think what they would be like if you actually have a loan with them. Avoid!

I have been their customer for about 11…

I have been their customer for about 11 months. Whenever I borrowed some money, I paid it back in a week. No problems at all, and I was very happy with the customer service. But the last time they simply suspended my account saying that I went bankrupt. I didn't, I went into IVA (Individual Volutary Agreement, which is different) and it happened 15 months ago. So when I became their customer I was already in that agreement. The reason of my rating is that I proved that I was a reliable, responsible customer, but it didn't matter. I am very disappointed in this company.

Don't be quick to use them

I needed a few loans and always paid up early yet for some reason they just dropped me??
From that point on utter silence....anyway I have moved to another company that are much more transparent and as it happens quite a bit cheaper....my opinion is shop around before using quick quid.

They're a bunch of racists anyway

They're a bunch of racists. If your not originally British they decline you before you even got to complete application even if you got excellent credit rating (not that they even did a credit check). Phoned their useless customer service desk to query, got told "we don't know why you got declined speak to the credit check agencies" no credit check even done.

Wonga.com however has always been super.

rude and time wasters

rude and time wasters. got a call back and the customer advisory did not even speak, but i could here them talking and typing away. Then I when I said I could here them, i think they muted, because I no longer hear them. They were waiting for me hang up but i refused, and said i was going to write a complaint, and threaten to call quick quid using my other number so i could show that the other operator was not doing their job they eventually hanged up on me. These people have no integrity

Went to take out another 1 and all of a sudden it was no can't prove you identity income etc etc I mean seriously 3 loans in with no issues and they treat you like a criminal. Ridiculous. Had to use my girlfriend's account to publish this review as I feel everyone should know just how bad they are. Use sunny instead
