On our journeys, everyone’s hungry for the little-known or just-happened, and we can go after them: no track too small, too trodden or obscure. St Andrew’s & Fife with Jim
We did a 1 day tour to St. Andrew’s and Fife with Jim Scott. The tour was amazing and Jim made it even better. Jim was amazing. I have to say I would want him as a tour guide again if we come back! Rabbie’s was also super helpful in deciding what tour was best for us. They were very responsive when I had questions!
Just fantastic!
We had another fantastic day on the Rabbie’s tour from Glasgow to Loch Ness, Glencoe and the Highlands, made even better by our driver and guide, Steve G.
From the moment we set off, Steve kept the whole coach engaged with a brilliant mix of Scottish history, local stories, interesting facts and genuinely great chat. He was friendly, knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what he does, which really made the experience special.
The day was very well organised and paced, and Steve made the long drive feel effortless with his humour and storytelling throughout.
We’ve done Rabbie’s tours before and they’re always a fantastic experience. Steve was one of the best guides we’ve had and we genuinely can’t wait for the next one.
Amazing 5 Day Tour of Wales!!
We really enjoyed our tour, especially due to our guide John, who provided just the right amount of storytelling, fun facts, humor and general information. He filled any quiet time we had with a carefully selected soundtrack and answered all of anyone’s questions.
Our BnB’s in Aberystwyth and Tenby were charming! We loved having breakfast hampers delivered to our rooms in Tenby! We felt we had sufficient time at our stops at the various castles, cathedrals, abbeys and cute little towns. The ride back to London on our last day included a stop at Castle Combe, a quaint village not to be missed!
Fabulous places, excellent guide and tour, some issuesLike all vacations
Like all vacations, this six-day Rabbie's tour of the Hebrides encompassed the god, the bad and the ugly. The good stuff won, handsomely! The stunning landscapes, in particular, will stay with me for a long time…
PROS
◦ Magnificent sights and scenery - diverse, rugged, dramatic and unearthly, often under sublime skies
◦ Tour guide Graham was helpful, flexible and responsive, friendly and considerate
◦ Comfortable bus and great group
◦ Itinerary well judged to encompass major sights and places of interest
◦ Moderate exertion levels will suite most ages and fitness levels
◦ Tour numbers about right- neither to big or too small
◦ Great sea food - when you can get it!
CONS- these are primarily basic comments on the place, not the tour!
◦ Ridiculously volatile weather and constant biting winds; plus frequent downpours; sun and showers is the default forecast
◦ So, even in high summer, you need to prepare for the worst with layered, water-protected and warm clothing
◦ Ever-changing weather also means that the lighting for serious photography may vary from sublime to just horrid in an instant
◦ Long tour days can be tiring
◦ Hilariously incompetent drivers have been known to cause major delays on the single track roads of Skye
◦ B & B selected for us on Skye surprisingly expensive
◦ Food is also expensive, even compared to London or Edinburgh
◦ Evening meals sometimes prove difficult: restaurant booking or free-for-all both problematic
Unprofessional and Disappointing Experience
I can’t speak to the tour as 5 minutes before we were to leave they cancelled due to unavailability of a driver. The irony is other individuals in the group were loaded onto vans and still took the tour while 16 people were left with no options or alternatives. I had to ask for a refund. The drivers that did show were not compassionate or helpful. Very unprofessional company and staff, as when we asked for additional options their representative did not provide any. We had booked this tour 4 months ahead and even specifically flew to this region just for the tour. My advice is to avoid the company entirely. Thankfully our hotel stepped in and got us a private driver in place.

Great Isle of Skye Tour!
Trevor was a great guide...lots of interesting information about Scotland in general and where we traveled on our tour in particular.
The arranged accommodations were excellent (Dunborrodale B&B). I appreciated that our 3 days were optimized (8:30am start, on the 1st day, 7:30pm return on the 3rd day) so it felt like a longer tour (in a good way)!
The sites visited were lovely and our time there didn't feel rushed (and visiting some Highland Coos on the last day was a wonderful treat!).
Skye was truly amazing...and getting to go on the small ferry back to the mainland was a unique and very special experience.
I will definitely look to Rabbie's again for touring in Scotland!

The 3 day Isle of Skye Tour May 13-15 with Jim Divine exceeded every expectation. He was an excellent driver, planner and had the best stories. Loved every minute. Thanks from Debbie, Dave & Mary (Beth).
Only thing missing from this tour was
Only thing missing from this tour was, more time. Wonderful day! I wanted to keep going. Helen was great! She answered all of my 100 questions and everyone else’s who had questions. She gave us tips on where to eat and shop and even stay the next time I see Scotland again, and I will. Take a tour with Rabbies (not rabies lol) it was a great day. Scotland is beautiful.

Just completed my seventh tour with Rabbie’s which indicates the confidence I have in their quality of service. Never disappointed. Most recently went to Devon and Cornwall with guide David. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the area. It was interesting to hear his stories. David seemed very calm and relaxed through the whole 5 days which added a calm environment to the experience. Thanks Rabbie’s. Hope to see you again.
Jim Scott is a fantastic tour guide
Enjoyed thoroughly our tour of the Highlands with Mac!
Mac was out tour guide and he was fantastic! Fascinating and fun stories during a full day of driving and stops, scenery and sites visited were great. The added Loch Ness boat trip was a bit touristy but fun as well. The bus was very comfortable for a long day trip.
An unforgettable Islay adventure with Rabbie’s and Billy
Our group of nine friends travelled with Rabbie’s to Islay during week 20, and the experience exceeded all expectations.
A huge part of that was our guide, Billy. From the very beginning, he made the trip feel like our journey rather than a standard tour. His balance between the planned destinations and the extra stops he added along the way was excellent, giving us the chance to experience places we otherwise would have missed.
Managing nine whisky-loving forty-year-olds can't be the easiest task, but Billy handled it with incredible patience, good humour, and genuine care. He clearly knows Scotland inside and out, but what impressed us most was the heart he put into making sure everyone had a memorable experience.
The pacing of the tour was spot on, the scenery was breathtaking, and the overall organisation by Rabbie’s was outstanding.
If we return to Scotland—and I sincerely hope we do—Rabbie’s will absolutely be at the top of our list again.
Thank you, Billy, and thank you Rabbie’s for helping create memories that will stay with us for a very long time.
Amazing 5 days in Devon&Cornwall
What a fantastic 5-day tour! Every day was filled with wonderful places, great experiences, and perfectly organized activities. Our guide Nic was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and always happy to share interesting insights and local stories. The whole trip exceeded my expectations from start to finish. I’m already looking forward to booking my next adventure with Rabbie's!
Lizzie our tour guide was amazing
Lizzie our tour guide was amazing, she made the journey so much fun. Her knowledge, stories telling skills and humour kept us captivated throughout.
She was warm, welcoming and made us feel right at home on the tour bus.
I was even given a can of Iron Bru (Scotlands famous drink) and sang happy birthday by the passengers on the bus as a birthday surprise!
The whole experienced was well planned and we were well informed on every stop, location and history of the area.
I learned so much about Scottish history from the tour. I would highly recommended
The Scottish highlands are breathtaking and all the stops were perfect to appreciate the beauty of the Highlands.
Amazing Kirkwall tour
The guide was a local and was very knowledgeable about the area including the history. I felt like it was an immersive experience for the area. We were able to see all types of things, not just the big Neolithic sites. Bus was comfortable and everything was run very efficiently. We will be back next year!
Awesome experience
I had very, very pleasant experience. Easy to book, easy to find, easy to board. Guide was very pleasant and always cared about our wellbeing. All trip had very relaxed feel to it. We had more than enough time at every location to enjoy. Thanks!
Lizzie was the best!
Very well organized and our guide Lizzie was amazing!!! Told such entertaining stories about Scottish history and made sure we got all of the photo opportunities. 100% would recommend the trip, we did the Loch Ness and Glencoe tour!
We were lucky enough to visit the…Scottish Highlands.
We were lucky enough to visit the Scottish Highlands on a spectacularly beautiful and clear one-day tour. Jimmy, our driver, enhanced our experience thoroughly with historic anecdotes, jokes, etymology, and an appropriately beautiful soundtrack. The van was comfortable and we were happy to have fellow passengers who abided by the meetup times so we could all enjoy as much of this region as possible in one quick circle.
Unforgettable experience
What a memorable experience! Jim Scott provided an unforgettable tour of the Highlands. He kept the entire group entertained and on-time during our trip north. This was the highlight of our 7-day trip to the UK!
Italy's Northern Jewels. Venice & the Dolomites
This is a six day tour of Northern Italy, departing from and returning to Milan. We visited Peschiera del Garda on Lake Garda, Verona, Venice (where we stayed two nights), the Dolomites (staying two nights in Cortina), Trento (one night) and Brescia, before returning to Milan. I wasn't sure what to expect but was blown away by the places, the sights, the scenery, the food and our fellow travellers. What made the trip extra special was our tour manager Cristina who organised so many wonderful experiences for us, including a cable car ride at Passo Pordoi onto the top of the world (or so it seemed), a walking tour in Venice which showed us parts of the city less frequented by tourists, a gondola ride and a visit to Castel del Buonconsiglio in Trento. Plus she tolerated my sense of humour.
Our accommodation was very good to excellent, including a hotel on the Grand Canal in Venice (and breakfast was included). I would recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in being introduced to a part of Italy that is less well known but its stunningly beautiful.
