If possible have nothing to do with Radis

I am a tenent living an an apartment where Radis has just started working. In just four weeks they have managed to turn our homes from a happy go lucky block of apartments into a place of stress and worry. Since arriving they have had our lovely support staff either in tears or in some cases leave. But the worst thing of all they are trying to bully tenets into paying for care we do not want or need, As I said this is Independent living, We have even been sent bills for care we have not had and in a lot of cases we have not agreed to (we have not signed a contract) If we do not pay it has been mentioned legal action could be taken to recover it. There for in my opinion if you can have nothing to do with this company

Brilliant company, who genuinely care

I have worked for Radis for 12 years now, and I have done since leaving school. I started at a care worker on visiting care, and moved into extra care after a year, whilst being there i applied and was promoted to team leader and then a few years later service manager.

I love working for Radis and feel that the values are exactly what works for me. There is endless support for those who ask for it, and as a company they because in always giving the option for professional development and internal progression.

They listen to ideas and give credit where it is due.
I do not ever see myself leaving Radis and cannot recommend them enough. There is such a variety of positions in the company and areas of care to cover that you can gain such a vast amount of knowledge and experience.

In my time with Radis I have seen people progress from working in care to be nurses, paramedics, social workers. And Radis helped pave the way for them to do this, while supporting them during their studies.

I have also completed many different qualifications whilst in employment and am proud that I was given every opportunity to do so.

FACTS

Honestly, this is by far the worst company I have ever worked for.
4 years of my life wasted!!!

When I started, all the staff had minimum 37.5hr contracts then Somehow, those contracts conveniently went “missing,” and everyone was moved onto zero-hour contracts without transparency or proper explanation. That alone speaks volumes about how this company operates.

I would strongly advise anyone considering joining to think very carefully — and to ensure you have union support. The culture is toxic, and the emotional toll is real. They breach so many rules and regulations/ protocols and breach risk assessments.

The manager at the burntwood service is unprofessional, dishonest, and openly bully’s all the staff she don’t like which are 99.9% of them. The amount of complaints made and nothing gets done.
honestly she don’t have a clue how to do her job.
Concerns raised about threatening language and inappropriate conduct were dismissed as “insufficient evidence.” Yet, just two weeks after raising those concerns, I was suspended on allegations of being a “threat” myself. The pattern is clear: if you speak up, the situation is turned against you.

There is a consistent culture of manipulation, coercion and Issues are brushed off as “he said, she said,” while narratives are quietly rewritten to justify disciplinary action. She decides who she wants to follow through with complaints

Confidential information is discussed openly with colleagues. The Staff are talked about behind their backs.
There is no acknowledgment or basic professionalism unless something is wanted from you.
Threats about job security are frequent — being told the service is failing and staff could lose their jobs is daily. If you cannot cover shifts, they mess with the rota so you miss out, lose money/ shifts
you are warned you will “happily be dragged down the disciplinary route.” If you don’t do shifts.

Guilt-tripping is just the standard practice in this job.
Staff are repeatedly reminded they are “replaceable.”
On-call issues are ignored by the manager, Everyone reaches out to the team leader as she’s more approachable and understanding (she is the biggest asset to the job, and has the kindest soul)

Credit is taken for work said manager has not done. But her Mistakes are passed onto others. There is a complete lack of accountability and support.
What is most shocking is the contrast between the company’s public claims of “support and respect” and the reality experienced by staff. The gap between words and actions is staggering.
I cannot recommend this company to anyone seeking a professional, supportive, or respectful working environment. I would highly advise you to seek other employment.

I have so much more to say but they’re the type of company to sue you, so I’ll add “ALLEGEDLY”

So DO NOT WORK FOR RADIS!!!

Radis care is family run and this…

Radis care is family run and this shines through, the owners really care about the people in their services, both service users and staff.
The compassion and care given to anyone needing care is kind beyond words, the carers go above and beyond to ensure there is nothing but happiness, such a wonderful bunch of people!

Radis community care 👎

I am a resident of a care home ran by Radis community care, I am absolutely disgusted by this situation, the staff are treated like slaves they work 15 hours a day hardly any breaks no sick pay they are on about 12 to 13 pounds per hour and the fully qualified caregivers are on just 7 pence more than the unqualified caregivers. We have had about 10 carers leave due to stress and unfair conditions, plus we have three ladies on maternity leave. They have only taken on one lady who is really good and nice but we just can’t understand her and this is not racism she is really good at her job. The caregivers are being trained in Welsh law which is so wrong. I wouldn’t recommend this company if my life depended it.

Avoid this company!!!

I used to work at Radis, and my honest advice is to avoid this company!!! They will never offer you a contract that respects your worth as a worker! You will remain on a zero-hours contract indefinitely, with no opportunity for a permanent one! While they may expect you to perform as if you’re on a permanent contract, you’ll have no actual benefits—no sick pay, no stability, nothing! The HR department is incredibly inefficient; you’ll be left waiting ages for even the simplest response.
The owners of this company are blatantly exploiting their workers—there’s no other word for it! Companies like this should be banned in the UK!!!
