Ravenheat boiler, not bad

I purchased a Ravenheat condenser boiler way back in 2004. When I first had it it would cycle on and off, turned out to be the pilot jet flame not being as tall as it should be. One pin later (sewing pin) and opening the little holes at the pilot jet base, sorted it. This boiler has never let us down, even though it was not used for months at a time, sadly after nearly 22 years it decided to not start again. No parts are available but no worries will buy a new one. Will miss it, just worked.

AVOID!

I moved into a house that had had a Ravenheat boiler installed a few years prior and I’ve had nothing but problems with it, they are completely unreliable.
More importantly I struggle to get any heating engineers out to look at it when I do have problems - as soon as I say it’s a Ravenheat they don’t want to know, which tells you a lot.
Been without hot water and heating the past 2 days and finally bit the bullet and getting a new boiler fitted today. Honestly, no one should be this excited about getting a new boiler but that’s how I feel after putting up with Ravenheat.
Unfortunately I fear the people reading this will already know just how terrible they are but if you are reading this before purchasing 1 - PLEASE DON’T, you will live to regret it, really not worth the saving £ as you will pay for it in the long run.

I've actually had mine for 25 years, have needed to get new parts a few times. Plumber can never believe they're still available. It's still working fine and my bills are on a par with those of newer boilers. Finally going to get a quote for a new boiler, not because it doesn't work but purely due to it's age.

I’ve had a Ravenheat H120T boiler for 14 years providing heat to 12 radiators. I had it serviced by the company up to 10 years old. It has never failed in all that time, However it has now conked out, which is fair enough after all that time. The error code says it could be one or more of several things so I have decided to replace it rather than spend money on it due to its age and parts availability

Do not buy one of these pieces rubbish

Do not buy one of these pieces S**T if you have one in your house be prepared to replace. If you’re buying a property and it has one… make sure they give your money off to replace it because it will break! I moved into a property and one of these crappy boilers was installed in 2021 .. first week it started with error codes … 4 month later it started to leak water and messed up the electrical panel. Parts are in the £1000s and all from China that are most likely poorly made. This company does not trade in the UK anymore (probably because they are rubbish and went bust) whoever designed these needs to be called out and shot… this company alone is ripping off its customers with its crappy boilers … I’m now ripping out this piece of crap and replacing it… but this should have lasted longer. Hopefully my next choice will be a better experience

AVOID AVOID AVOID RAVENHEAT

Poor Piece of crap it is. RavenHeat cs90 combi crap.
Had that boiler installed for almost 5 years after 2 years of warranty gone out it started giving errors and errors. Every year after service had to spend on expensive parts £100+ on parts.
Expansion vessel, 3x PRV, 2 x ignitors, electrodes, and PCB board are the things which I have changed in the passage of 3 years and on top I had a service guy from a reputable company yearly coming in for service. Never again coming close to these BLOOD SUCKING COMPANY.

The 5* reviews on here are extremely suspicious.

Trash. Boiler is 2-3 years old and broken. Customer service was atrocious. Warranty department told me to give them a ring when my gas engineer was with me.

Emailed with somebody called Melissa who was extremely useless, she was just so unhelpful and unwilling to just help. It’s winter and my boilers broken down and there’s just no f**ks given. I was only calling to see if the boiler was still in warranty, she’s a chocolate teapot.

Got a Worcester Bosch boiler being installed tomorrow.

Worse than staining your pants

Remember the horror the first time you time you passed gas and something so wet slipped out that you had to go home and change your undies?

That pretty much summarises my experience with Ravenheat.

Useless

The hot air expunged from my back side has more warmth than a Ravenheat boiler.

It'd be more reliable to use a lighter to ignite my own personal wind than expect a Ravenheat boiler to have any other setting than "knackered".

The best experience I ever had....

....was ripping out my failed useless Ravenheat boiler and replacing it with a far superior competitor which honors their warranty with a FIVE STAR SERVICE!

(I think Ravenheat are a parody company, no serious business would supply such atrocious kit and back it up with an unequalled mediocre and intellectually challenged customer "service" - a misnomer in itself when used by Ravenheat)

RAVENHEAT SUCK!!

Ravenheat produce the suckiest boilers and their useless sucky staff suck too.

When my sucky Ravenheat died in the middle of a cold snap I called out my emergency engineer. He couldn't identify the sucky random error message, the Ravenheat technical line sucked and when I tried to contact them they sucked so much they just ignored me. Their customer service sucks. Getting their sucky unreliable boilers to work is like flogging a dead horse and the sucky-staff at Ravenheat don't care if you're left without hot water or central heating in the middle of winter. Take it from me, rip out your old boiler and replace it with one from a company with a proper warranty and staff that care.

Every engineer I've spoken to has laughed and told me how Ravenheat boilers suck and they're just cheap nasty sucky pieces of unreliable suckiness and that sucky Ravenheat staff just suck and their technical support suck too because they do suck all when their sucky boilers break down leaving the customer to suck up the fallout.

The worst customer service imaginable.

Spoke to the customer service person today. We have endure over 1 year with a sub standard boiler that has never worked properly. Previous calls have been met with: it's not covered under warranty (it was bought in August 2021), our model has been discontinued (was brand new at installation in August 2021), they only deal with plumbers not the public and eventually they put the phone down on us. They will avoid responsibility and I would never recommend this company nor its products to anyone ever. Going to rip it out and replace with a Worcester Bosch even though much more expensive. Seriously bad.

Buy any other brand of boiler

Worst customer experience ever, all I ask you to do, is ring their number at head office, 0113 252 7007
Good luck !!! If anyone picks up the call
If the call is picked up, they simply put the phone down to shut you up from ringing.

My boiler is still under warranty, they owe me the service under my 2 years warranty when it fails pre-maturely

This company is not one that helps anyone who paid hard-earned money for their products, no respect to customers at all

The guys who put in the boiler for me told me this company only employs one engineer, so if you are not local near Leeds, go take a hike , good luck

So I ring them, email them, and you will never get a reply
Just try that number above,
If you are lucky enough to get your call picked up, they have no patience to speak to you, end of story

Big mistake choosing Ravenheat

A bit of info shared by my boiler installer to me, Ravenheat makes these boilers in Italy, getting parts from there is hard, especially after Briexit

I told my boss of my boiler, he told me to buy a Worcester Bosch, he had it 10 years without a problem, that’s what I need
Now I’m not bashing Ravenheat for a boiler that breaks down, I’m talking about the people who have a job at Ravenheat because we bought their boilers, they are supposed to help customers and that’s why they are employed, trust me, they couldn’t care less about their customers !!

Try their email too
You will not get any response

This company is the worst I have every…

This company is the worst I have every dealt with regarding a product warranty that seems to be useless, I had a Combi Gas boiler fitted in 2019 with a 10 year warranty 3 years have passed had the boiler serviced as per the terms and condition, in April 2022 a leak appeared under the boiler, rang the head office to report the leak, and was met with tirade of abuse from an alleged customer service person Allan was the chaps name he immediately accused me of swearing at him why I have no idea because my wife was sat next to me when I was on the phone on loudspeaker and we’re pretty much shell shocked as to why he spoke to me like that, we are both responsible OAP and certainly don’t revert to swearing, I explained that we had a leak on the boiler and he abruptly said don’t you people ever read the terms and condition, my reply was no on this occasion I had not read the terms I just thought that if I had a ten year warranty on the Boiler one of the major components was water goes through the boiler without leaking all over the place especially when it is only three years old, Allan then went on to say when you buy a new car tyres and parts wear out but don’t come under a warranty. So I ended up paying £90 to repair a leak on a nearly new boiler that has a ten year worthless warranty. Don’t buy from this company that’s my advice

What a shocking company to deal with

What a shocking company to deal with. Every excuse given not to go out to look at the boiler. There is full service history and the boiler is still under warrant but they point blank refuse to out out and look at the boiler or even listen me to me. Very obnoxious and rude man shouting on the end of the phone. As a letting agent we deal with hundreds of boilers and warranty providers and never experienced service or a man like this.
All the negative reviews speak for themselves...

Terrible company

Boiler installed Nov 2017 which didn't work right from the start and the installer couldn't sort it out. So after loads of arguing with extremely rude Ravenhet 'head'engineer he finally came and fixed it. Recently boiler stopped working with an error message. Called them and again spoke to very rude man in their service and warranty dept who told me they don't deal with the public and I would need to speak to my installer and as it was a safety issue it wasn't covered under the warranty. Luckily my engineer came out the same day and fixed it and told me I'd be lucky if the boiler would last. I would never recommend Ravenheat to anyone and their customer service is non-existent
