Made our cats sick 12 times!!

I've tried a few companie for raw food to find the balance between cost and what the cats like most. Unfortunately, the experience of Raw To Go was very negative.

I called up to seek advice on what food I should get for our 6 month old kittens. I told the woman their size, age and breed and that they particularly liked beef. She recommended which food to buy so I placed an order for £55 to get around a months supply of food.

At first everything was fine, but soon the cats started being sick. We've never had this issue before with any other raw meat so were pretty shocked and concerned as any pet owner would be!

I called her up and she mostly said 'I don't know what you want me to say' which wasn't very reassuring or apologetic. One of the cats was even sick whilst I was on the phone to her and she was just silent.

Over the next 3 days the cats were sick 12 times in total.

I've requested a refund which she has refused saying 'there is nothing wrong with the food' and 'there is nothing to apologise for'.

It's funny how her website has a new clause warning that the food might not be appropriate for smaller animals which appeared very quickly after my call. So, she clearly acknowledges that there is a problem and she is warning other customers against taking advice I took from her, but is refusing to make amends with myself.

There is clearly something very wrong with this food, what's more is her professionalism and empathy towards the situation was shocking.

I have reported her to trading standards and to food safety & hygene organisation to make sure this doesn't happen to future animal owners.

Avoid!
