Do not use this bank. They will deliberately overdraft your account, while even though you have the money, will intentionally restructure your payments to put your entire account into the negative. Screw you guys. I have been banking with yall for over 15 years and you play with my life and money like this.

Omgoodness RBFCU has such great staff members there. I have had Good experience physically at an RBFCU branch as well as over the phone or online. Always have had exceptional customer service. Their branches always delightful, very welcoming and greeted with friendly tellers as well as well mannered security guards. RBFCU have great loan options and helpful/assisting options throughout the duration of the loan. Many other perks when having an RBFCU account. I was assisted recently by Mrs Tracy with my recent loan request. She was a doll! Absolutely wonderful. Full of life. She spoke to me about the counter offers and helped me get a loan repayment installments that fit my needs. Very knowledgeable, credible. Well spoken, easy to understand. Brilliant. Thank you RBFCU for being the best financial institutions available. The motto "Here, you are family" holds golden truth. 💛

I wrote a check for new gutters on my home. It was a large check that is out of usual bill pay amounts. I received a text message and email this morning around Monday, 6am to announce clearing of the check in my account. I am so impressed by RBFCU and their system to alert me to a possible fraudlent check clearing my account the the steps to remedy the situation if necessary.
I also want to commend the RBFCU Bulverde branch. They ARE customers service oriented. They go out of their way to help customers in person, in the drive up windows and now with 2 new drive up ATM machines!! The Manager, Elin Garrison has been very helpful to me on serveral occassions. She has a fantastic RBFCU team.

Avoid at all cost. Terrible business They dont like to let you spend your own money, they lock you out of your account all the time for no reason. literally the worst place to keep your money. Staff is mean and rude not helpful. I think they enjoy hurting people. Hospital dates moved back risking lives due to a staff members ego . Go literally any where else

I have been with them a long time, but they have tested my patience and today was the last straw. Very long wait you’re on hold for over 30 minutes. The people are polite, but they don’t know what they’re talking about. And they basically told me to go and open an account elsewhere because they could not help me. This is not the first time that they are full of shit. I am moving my accounts.

Been a member since 2017. Was better then. Horrible now. Had a credit card when I first opened my account and got a starter $500 limit. Over the years I've tried 3x to get the limit increased/rate lowered with 0 Luck. Ended up closing it. Opened a card with Capitol One and got a $2k limit right off the bat with promo APR. Ive tried 3x to get personal loans from RBFCU for emergency expenses and every time denied. Had to turn to Upstart (I still use even now) that ALWAYS approves me and offers competitive rates. When I financed my Car I didn't even give RBFCU a thought. Just opened an account with a competing bank and got approved & financed in less then a week! Also- RBFCU has plenty of hidden fees. Look for another bank. This one has only gone downhill over the years. I let all 3 of my accounts with them go inactive. They dont deserve my business and dont deserve yours either. Do your research.
I've experienced fraud with my account 4 times in the last 6 months. The customer service I experience is almost always rude and unprofessional. They will knowingly transfer me to other departments even knowing that the other department is closed. The branch I went into to ask for help gave me a disconnected number to call and told me they wouldn't help me at the branch because it would take too long for them. The last time I received fraud on my credit card, I explained to the lady on the phone, that I never even received my new card in the mail, so any transactions couldn't have been me, since I didn't active the card. She removed one of the three charges I did not make, and then left the other two so now I'm receiving late fees on fraudulent charges I have already complained about. I've been with RBFCU for over ten years at this point and because of the poor service the past year, I have unfortunately decided to completely close my accounts as soon as possible.
dated and archaic credit unions, their phone tree SUCKS. Why take all my information (sensitive information as well) only to tell me you are closed. Everything the do is slooooow and difficult to work with.

I would give 0 stars if I could.
As a new member of only 4 months, I have had multiple recent check and direct deposits made into my account. They flagged my account for fraud and didn’t send me ANY NOTIFICATIONS MY ACCOUNT WAS FROZEN OR FLAGGED. No text. No email. No push notification. No call. Nothing. I had to have my card declined and experience panic trying to figure out what is going on with my account. When the online banking experience just kept saying LOCKED with no explanation. Absolutely ridiculous!
Because of this unannounced fraud flag, I also did not have access to my online banking. And I still don’t, even though I have confirmed that the activity on my account is all me, the member. DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT HERE as it WILL inconvenience you and your family. I will be withdrawing all of my funds and closing my account ASAP. Thank goodness I saw another review on here that says don’t open a business account.
Hopefully I will save someone the hassle of dealing with RBFCU.

Horrible Customer Service. Inactivity fees were charged to not using the account. $5.00 a month for October, November, December in 2025 and then in 2026 they raised it to 2026. I am sooooo upset. They don't understand how to treat a customer or take care of any issues regarding this. Not friendly. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Lots of programs like Mortgage, Health, Car Insurance. Investment...all crap Third Party and not in House. Oh sure they may have a portion of one program in-house but not the Majority.Since it is not ran by RBFCU it is a $#!+ show! The Car Insurance program was a lie, employees don't know whats going on, or the Mortgage people are trying to steal your deal or set you up with their on family mortgage or other business. They start a New Phone system on a Friday when its the busiest and it chaotic night mare for the Loan department which was a cluster @#$&. Its just an all around Clown Circus act put on by the CEO!
Absolutely the worst place to try and open a business account. Was in a process for over 2 weeks and they have continued to ask for information that was previously submitted. VERY UNORGANIZED! I only write this to inform anyone thinking about opening a business account to take your business somewhere else or you can try here and waste your time.

For the most part I've had a good experience with this CU. Their rates are competitive which is why I initially joined. Aside from my problem listed below, customer service has been great.
I give them a 0 stars out of 5 for how they handle credit card disputes, though. The fine print says it can take up to 90 days to resolve a dispute. OK, well that's practically unheard of in real life. I filed a dispute and never received anything in the mail. Called the fraud dept. at the 21-25 day mark asking about the dispute and was told the dispute hadn't been escalated yet and the rep escalated it for me. I then received a letter in the mail 16-20 days later, asking for more information, most of which they already had. I filled the form out, mailed it in. No response after 3-4 more weeks. Called again, was told they received letter but the fraud analyst hasn't reviewed the case yet. Called again 3 weeks later, same response - the fraud analyst hasn't reviewed the dispute yet. Now we are at day 80. It's ridiculous. I have cards with Citi, Chase, Discover - not one of them has ever taken more than 25-30 days to resolve a dispute.
Just something to think about because online fraud is rampant and your card WILL get fraudulently used. It's just a matter of time.

Just rude, snotty, unhelpful, unprofessional tellers, customer service people and on the phone they’re just as rude. Instead of apologizing for the inconveniences they cause, like good customer service, they rude and nasty. Also when I became a member 20 years ago this bank was good. Now it’s just like every other crappy bank. The people act like they’re better than you, like you’re below them.

It took them almost a month to open my business account. Approximately 28 days, to be exact, after turning in all of my business documents. In addition, I tried to apply for a business credit card, and they wanted my last year's tax returns, including the new business tax returns, and other hoops to jump through. So I gave up and applied for an AMEX business card and got approved within 10 minutes for $10,000. Which is all I need for my business. No thanks to Randolph. Just recently, I made a capital contribution to my business, and all of a sudden, my mobile app didn't recognize my username and password, so I had to contact Randolph Brook's fraud department to inform them that my personal check, which was signed by me, to my business is a capital contribution. I had to jump through hoops to obtain a Funds Verification Letter from USAA to send to Randolph Brooks' fraud department so they could unlock my Mobile/Online account. Probably a 1-2 week turnaround to gain access to my Randolph Brook's business and personal checking accounts. While I wait, my business is at a standstill because I cannot deposit or transfer funds to keep my business running. Such a hot mess.

Been using it for 6 years. I checked for an emergency number for two fraudulent charges on both my checking and savings. This has to be the only bank who has no number to call to report these things without having to call specifically monday through friday. Excuse me, what? I am terrified i wont get help, bc according to the reviews, people are t getting their stolen money back. Why don’t you people have a fraud line that’s 24/7??? What useless bank is this?

My interactions with RBFCU have been minimal due to my limited use of the app and account. In contrast, my daughter has actively utilized their services for approximately four years and has encountered numerous challenges with customer service. A straightforward request for a new debit card has turned into a frustrating ordeal, often resulting in over three weeks of waiting and repeated follow-ups, only to be told that a new card will be sent with a "RUSH" designation—despite the fact that the last two cards were not expedited as promised. The lack of acknowledgment or empathy from the representatives has been disappointing. While I do not expect apologies, a touch of understanding from the agents would be appreciated. After this experience, I cannot recommend their services.
