I signed up for Rebtel, deposited $5 out of which I only made like...two calls. After a month of not using the app I got banned and after multiple emails requesting different information (probably the longest I've ever spent going back and forth with CS) this is the response I got back from the company.
"At this time, this number is restricted in our system, which is why you are unable to log in. For security and compliance reasons, we are unable to provide additional details regarding internal account restrictions.
I understand this may be disappointing, and I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. If you have another phone number that is not associated with any restrictions, please let us know, and we will be happy to check whether alternative options are available for accessing your account."
Rebtel basically took my money, banned me and won't tell me why. Time and money wasted. What a shitty company. Do not dare to spend any money with this company. Total scam.

Receipt Issues
No comparison to Skype. However, my recent experience with customer service was very disappointing. I requested a receipt for accounting purposes, and due to issues with their system, they were unable (or unwilling) to provide proper documentation. As a business user, that is unacceptable. I will be discontinuing my use of Rebtel and looking for an alternative service.

Low voice quality + app redirects me to wrong numbers
Since I started using this app, I have had voice issues. Whenever I call someone, they can barely hear me. One in 10 calls goes to the correct number; the rest go to a different person or number. The support team replies, but they don't actually help. They also charged me twice for the same transaction, so I ended up with a double credit that I didn't want. I spent the rest of the money calling random people; I don't mean to call them, but whenever I make a call, I end up speaking to a random person, the app redirects me to wrong number. Some of the people I accidentally contacted started calling me late at night, texting me and bothering me. I was trying to call my family and friends, so I didn't use the 'hide' option.
I have used similar apps before, but this one is the worst. I am only keeping it as I still have some credit.
