The phone service worked well, but customer service is very bad
The phone service worked well, but their customer service was very arrogant when I requested a receipt for the money I transferred, and declined to provide one. For me, that is unacceptable for a company I engage with.

Rebtel Customer Service is Very Poor
Up until this year I would have rated Rebtel very highly.
This year their customer service is non existent. They have made changes. If you are travelling and trying to determine if you can still use Rebtel, don't bother. They won't respond, they won't help.

it is signal stable when use a "country unlimited" (for example, Germany Unlimited). and it is cheaper than other international calling APPs. More, Global Unlimited is not signal stable,but a "country unlimited" is good.

Fraud illegal charges
Signed up for free trail, cancelled it after a few days and even deleted my credit card details. They then illegally and without any instruction, consent and deleted credit card, successfully charged me twice. The subsequent 14 attempts within a 2 hour period was automatically stopped by my bank. Fighting for more than a month with no refund yet. Be careful, they will ask you for even more personal info like copy of passport/ID, bank statements. With this they can just as well be you and do much more harm potentially! Unethical and fraudulent company! Report them to the authorities! UPDATE, still no refund even after sending Bank statement proof, screenshots and other details. They apologise, but allegedly cannot find any record of charges on their system, so no refund even if your own bank shows the charge clear as day.

Very poor support experience
Very poor support experience. Responses felt scripted and unhelpful, and the issue was never properly addressed. It seems like they focus more on procedures than actually helping customers.
Disappointing customer service. Instead of taking responsibility and solving the issue, they kept requesting additional details that didn’t seem relevant. Not a good experience overall.

I had a very disappointing experience with Rebtel’s customer support.
I purchased a 5€ credit to make international calls, but later found out that calls to Iran are not supported. This made the service completely unusable for my needs.
When I contacted support to request a refund, instead of resolving the issue, they repeatedly asked for irrelevant personal information (such as frequently contacted numbers), which is unnecessary for such a small refund and raises concerns about privacy.
Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, no refund was processed.
Very poor customer service and an unnecessarily complicated process for a simple issue. I would not recommend this service.

Hidden charges and lack of transparency
I had a very disappointing experience with Rebtel.
I was using the app specifically to avoid international charges while traveling abroad. However, one of my calls was unexpectedly routed through my mobile operator instead of the Rebtel service, resulting in significant unexpected costs.
This completely defeats the purpose of using such a service.
What is even more concerning is the lack of transparency. At no point was there a clear and explicit warning that the call could be routed outside the app and charged by my carrier. This creates a serious risk for consumers, especially when traveling internationally.
Their response was equally disappointing. They refused to take any responsibility, simply referring to their Terms of Service, without offering any solution or goodwill gesture.
From a consumer protection perspective, this raises concerns regarding transparency and potentially misleading practices under EU consumer protection regulations.
If you have experienced similar issues, you can search on Google for:
“EU consumer complaint ECC-Net” or “Swedish Consumer Agency complaint” to find official channels.
I will also be escalating this matter through official consumer protection channels.
