RECOCASH sent me an outrageous claim of…

RECOCASH sent me an outrageous claim of 1280€ with reference to a car hire from Europcar, Nice France.
RECOCASH claims to have contacted me before, which is NOT true.
RECOCASH fails to present any details of the claim.
Europcar has NOT presented any claims whatsoever to me.

Regarding this matter, I have notified "Konsumentverket", the recognized consumer organisation in Sweden, Europcar and also SAS who recommended Europcar.

EDIT; I DO NOT acknowledge your claim nor do I acknowledge you.
Europcar has failed to e-mail me, and also failed to send a letter. I will only recognize EUROPCAR

Hi, Europcar has confirmed that they sent you follow-up emails on January 6, January 14, and January 29, 2026. We subsequently discovered that the email address on file was not working. We have the supporting documents provided by Europcar available for you. Please feel free to request them by email at recouvrement-client3@recocash.com.
Best regards,

Recocash contacted me demanding payment…

Recocash contacted me demanding payment for an alleged Europcar “debt” that is formally disputed and the subject of an open complaint with Europcar. The dispute is also already with the European Car Rental Conciliation Service (ECRCS) under an active ADR investigation.

Despite the case being live and under dispute, Recocash still pursued recovery and issued payment demands rather than pausing and verifying the position with their client. This is stressful and inappropriate when a matter is clearly ongoing and unresolved.

I would strongly caution anyone in a similar position to ensure Recocash marks the account as in dispute, requests evidence from Europcar, and halts collection activity until the dispute/ADR process is concluded.

Dear Sir, the existence of a dispute wasn't know. Could you please send us a summary of this dispute. We will then contact Europcar. We are suspending our demand request. Thank you for your cooperation. Regards, the management

We received a letter dated 15.09.2025…

edit: we did not receive any letter before from either Europcar or from your company and escalated in this way if this is not an arnaque?
We received a letter dated 15.09.2025 from Recocash stating that we have an unpaid debt of €55 for Europcar, with the references: 1 - 024900067, 2 - 318547, and 3 - 2104392365. However, we have never had any debt with Europcar, and there is no clear explanation of what this charge is for.
We believe this claim is fraudulent, and on Monday, I will report it to the local police station in Courbevioie, France.

Recocash-Fraudulent...

I rented a car from Europcar France in the summer of 2024. Upon returning the car on my departure day, the Europcar representative inspected it, checked their tablet, and confirmed that everything was in order. I was informed that my receipt would be emailed to me.
Approximately a month later, I received an email from Europcar's recovery department demanding payment. I promptly responded, providing a screenshot of my bank statement as proof of payment. Concurrently, I contacted Europcar Customer Service to inquire about the emails. Two representatives replied, suggesting a possible clerical error or misunderstanding, and confirmed receipt of my payment, stating they would investigate the issue.
Subsequently, I began receiving emails from Recocash demanding a payment of 1,308 euros, referencing a Europcar transaction. I responded, explaining the situation and including Europcar's confirmation of my payment. However, I received no reply, only another email threatening legal action if the payment was not made. I have emailed them several times requested documentation to substantiate their claim, but nothing.
Europcar acknowledges my payment and is investigating, while Recocash continues to make demands without responding to my communications. It appears their focus is on recovering money rather than verifying the facts, despite Europcar's confirmation that no payment is due.
