SCAM

It appears to be a scam. The company tries to sell a course from an unknown CIFA website, which lacks industry recognition, and the website seems unprofessional, likely written by amateurs. When I mentioned the course was expensive, they directed me to Reed as there monthly payment terms—anyone can upload courses there, right? The company claims to operate under “A-Z Total” on Companies House, but uses a different name on their website. Why would they trade under a separate name? When I declined their offer, the recruiters vanished. They even sent an 8-week PDF that turned out to be inaccurate and not followed through.

Avoid,Fraudster

This company is acting like an employer but is actually trying to sell you a course. They are scammers, pretending to conduct interviews just to deceive people. They should be reported everywhere, as they are harassing job seekers and taking advantage of them.

Empty promises of work!

Been registered with the agency 8 weeks and had a grand total of 17 hours work.
I signed on for temp Christmas cover, after the induction, I was waiting for a start date. The agency kept pushing the start date back. It turns out, they over recruited and there is no start date.
I've had 3-4 case managers through central during my time on their books.
They are disorganised, unprofessional and rarely return your calls.
My advice, go with another agency.

Unprofessional, unreliable and dishonest

Disclaimer :

We do not leave negative reviews for companies as we fully understand the power of customer feedback and what it can do to negatively affect a business. In this instance we feel that we do need to leave this negative review as a warning to other business owners. The inability of Recruit Central to perform due diligence checks led us to illegally employ a candidate which we were assured was fully legal to work.

The facts :

We employed the services of Martin Phillips of Recruit Central to assist in the hiring of an MOT Tester. A candidate was sent over for interview, all seemed well so we offered them a position within the company subject to the usual checks - the candidate wanted to join us on a self employed basis, which we agreed was fine as long as they have the required UTR number which is a legal requirement for self employed people. Martin assured us that the candidate does have the required information and is eligible to work.

We made repeated calls to Recruit Central to request the UTR number so that we could pay the candidate (at this point the candidate had worked for us for 1.5 weeks)

We later found out that Recruit Central had not completed their check's - It turns out that the candidate was in fact not registered for UTR and is ineligible to work on a self employed basis.

Regrettably we had no option other than to let the candidate go.

We paid Recruit Central £1248.00 for the candidate, so naturally we requested a refund - Martin assured us that this would be taken care of with immediate effect.

We have made endless phone calls, sent many email messages to Recruit Central to chase this refund up - all requests have been ignored.

It appears that Martin Phillips is still with the company but now takes a back seat and his colleague Richard Thompson is now the main character.

After exchanging several more emails and yet more phone calls with Richard he has blatantly refused to refund the money back to us.

We are a fair size company employing over 100 people over 18 sites - we regularly use recruitment agencies to find good quality staff and have never had such a poor service from any other agency.

We encourage other business owners not to employ the unprofessional, unreliable and dishonest services of Recruit Central LTD.

We really didn't want to put this review out, we hoped to sort the issue out directly with Recruit Central - we would hate for any other business to have their fingers burnt.

Thank you
