For 4 months I had dealings with Reeds. Tom Brymer was the solicitor advising me and I also had contact with a few other staff members.

They could not have been kinder or friendlier. For someone who was completely out of his depth and in a situation I had never been in before they made me feel comfortable at all times.

Talking to Tom felt like I was talking to a friend rather than a solicitor.
We had never met before but on our first meeting I knew immediately that I was in safe hands.
He never judged me and neither did any of the staff I had dealings with. All they wanted to do was help a man in an awful position. He gave me a very thorough explanation of every process of the situation I was in. As I had never been involved with anything to do with the law and the court system before this was extremely important for me as I had no idea of what to expect.

Our son has learning difficulties, and once his case was taken up by Clare Galo, she was amazing throughout. Clare met with him so he could give his explanation to her, and she was very thoughtful and understanding throughout. She took him step by step through the process patiently and clearly by using language and methods of explanation to ensure his understanding. She then followed up with a detailed letter summing up the conversation and the possible outcomes at the trial – she was very honest with her summary. Clare also arranged for a court intermediary assessment, so he had an intermediary with him at the trial to explain what was happening and assist him if he did not understand any questions.

At his trial she was outstanding, especially when something unexpected occurred at the start of the session. Clare was so professional throughout and put his case to the magistrates exceptionally well. The outcome was the best we could have hoped for given the situation. We are all very grateful to her and highly recommend her.

My experience was first class with Reeds. From my inital arrest with duty solicitor Lee through to Paula and barrister Alec. I felt that Reeds were consistently on my side and were always fighting for me. Ultimately the police dropped the case before trial due to, let's say 'errors in investigations' on the part of the police. I knew I was an innocent party and that was ultimately proven to be true. Paula was very caring and sympathetic to my situation and communicated whenever I needed her to. Alec was very good at my initial hearing and fought very sternly in my defence citing lack of evidence, good character, no previous and being an innocent party. Very pleased with everyone. The overall investigation was extremely stressful, emotional and has taken it's toll on my family and myself. Thankfully the truth came out and I can now put it behind me and get back on with life. I don't think the experience will ever leave me as it was traumatic but having someone like Reeds fighting for you cannot be bought. Amazing. Thank you.

I was anxious and seeking advice at the pre-charge stage. Reeds were the only firm I could find that were willing engage at this stage under reasonable terms. Others simply declined or attempted to charge a large fixed sum before having a single formal meeting. I spoke to Clare Galo who was very understanding of the situation and gave me sound advice. She even dissuaded me from making any more financial commitments until it was necessary. The case ended up being no further action but I'm still glad I reached out.
