GOD help any black person who is near…

GOD help any black person who is near one of your employees named Stephen Carego. Stephen thinks it is okay to pull a gun on a teenager for the crime of walking in his own neighbourhood. Unhinged employee- DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY until Stephen is fired

They pull guns on black people

This company hires people who think its ok to pull a gun on black people just because he doesn't know where they live. What if that young man was an investor??? I would never trust anyone in this company so long as Stephen Carega works for you.

Datastream is ok…

I use Datastream for my research. Interface is better than most as it is user-friendly. Excel add-in also helps. But the data maintenance itself is problematic, especially for Latin American figures. Customer service would quickly resolve my concern, but it would be better if there was no issue to begin with.

Eikon is barely functional

Eikon is barely functional. Very buggy, and customer support is mediocre, at best. Constant errors, and you often. have to hunt for settings buried deep in menus to correct. Training is a farce - all on video without any use cases. System is slow and experiences too many service downtimes. User interface is a hash and not very intuitive - though the claim it was desinged by a former Googler. Charting is also sub-standard. Apparently, CHTV has not been supported for 3 years, and yet they haven't updated the fund pages to CHTF - which has a lousy UI and can't easily do comps versus other funds. It's at best a beta product that they shouldn't be charging half as much for - even as it is already cheaper than Bloomberg. You will get less than you pay for.

Meaning of "Financial crime fight"

LSEG business “Refinitiv” describes this as their mission:
“We provide information, insights, and technology that enable customers to execute critical investing, trading and risk decisions with confidence.”

In 2020 Refinitiv issues an investment book and promotes in it two German nationals, fraudsters and scoundrels who made serious harm to a Senior disabled person stealing his pension savings, who had no moral norms and hiding from court order.

The above is called - misleading statements, breach of trust, as a foundation of the financial data in the investment market, and harm to investors misled by your publication who can potentially lose money.

The Leaders of the above financial organization - "Don Robert, Mr Schwimmer, Mr Blakemore, and Mr McCarthy" - have been informed, but never admitted wrongdoings. Publication has been hidden.

Perhaps in such cases, when the leaders turn a blind eye to incompetence of staff and potential corruption case, - the Organization would need really good investigation and a might be a totally new big management.

Currently LSEG/Refinitiv look as follows:
- A Global Head of Digital Identity and Fraud Solutions at Refinitiv James Mirfin who is supposed to follow the technology and realise fraud solutions, - every single day is ‘liking’ every single post in LinkedIn, Twitter, and other social media. It is scary how much time an adult person, Head of Fraud Solutions in a financial organization spends in the internet rubbish but failed to identify the CDD / KYC for his own company.

- A Global Head of Financial Crime & Industry Affairs Mr “Che” everywhere calls himself a “financial crime fighter”. What is the point in such department existence if his company itself is promoting the fraudsters in its annual review? What is the other value of the modern “financial crime fights” rather than attending all kinds of prepaid radio and TV shows?

Shame on such practices which you - Don Robert, Mr Schwimmer, Mr Blakemore, and Mr McCarthy - unfortunately support in your organization. You are the indicator of business healthiness in LSEG. If your “financial crime fighters” are failing their direct responsibilities, then you should pick up anomalies in your organization and be responsible for their mistakes and please have the dignity to respond.

Disappointing and unfair to see the cowards sitting in nice office rooms where the only thing necessary to get paid is - to do nothing.

I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy…

I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy to use this platform (Eikon Refinitiv) for doing fixed income research.
I'm trying to match records of credit ratings, company fundamentals and bonds, which I have downloaded through the API, because the main platform doesn't allow people to download more anything in quantities exceeding 1.
However, the data outputted from the API has more holes than swiss cheese. The only identifier than consistently can be relied on throughout the system is "PermID". An identifier that is the most incompatible piece of information in the history of mankind. No masterfiles or downloadable reference files anywhere if you want to merge your files with ISIN, CUSIP, SEDOL or anything really. Everything returned along with it, is so inconsistent that it's impossible to link it to anything, allowing you to escape using this nightmare of an identifier.
Being tired of wasting time, I then decide to call refinitiv support to ask if there is any downloade files or libraries anywhere for THEIR proprietary identifier, because every API i've tried is too inconsistent and unreliable.
After being told there isn't anything available and that I should contact my local admin, I tell her "but it's used across YOUR system, and from what I know it's YOUR identifier, so why aren't their any resources available for it?", the employee decides to hang up the phone.

People who are into masochism and other kinds of self-punishment, should go use this platform and attempt doing anything remotely productive. To get the complete experience, call customer service where an employee will let you know how much of a sucker you are.
Considering the annual fees they charge, it's practically some kind of financial domination/humiliation service they are running, aimed at people who doesn't mind being treated as such.

If you can, then go for Bloomberg
