Great Experience with Aircon & Battery Installation
We recently had both a battery system installed to help reduce our electrical costs and an air conditioning unit fitted, and we are absolutely delighted with both.
The installations have genuinely improved our quality of life at home. The air conditioning unit is extremely quiet, and throughout the winter our home has been wonderfully warm and comfortable. We’re looking forward to seeing how it performs in the summer, but we’re confident it will do an excellent job cooling the house.
There were a few hiccups during the air conditioning installation, but the team at Renewafuel were incredibly proactive and resolved everything promptly and professionally. The installation itself was executed to perfection, and both the interior and exterior finishes are neat, tidy, and completed to a very high standard.
We would highly recommend their services.

My partner purchased an air source heat pump for our home four years ago through Renewafuel, and it has since become clear that we were seriously mis-sold the system.
Independent assessment has confirmed the unit installed is oversized for the property, the primary pipework was undersized, and the overall installation was poorly designed. As a result, we are now paying a qualified plumber to rectify issues that should never have existed in the first place.
The installer’s attitude at the time was rude and unapproachable, which in hindsight reflects the standard of workmanship carried out. Renewafuel’s aftercare has been virtually non-existent, leaving us with no option but to fund corrective works ourselves.
Having since read numerous similar reviews, it appears this is not an isolated experience but a recurring issue. I would strongly advise anyone considering Renewafuel to do thorough independent checks before proceeding.

We have reviewed our records and can confirm that the contract for the air source heat pump installation referenced was held with Ipsum Renewables Ltd, who were responsible for the design, installation, and aftercare of the system.
As such, we would ask that any queries or concerns regarding the specification, workmanship, or performance of the installation are directed to the relevant contracting entity, who will be best placed to review the matter.
We also note that multiple reviews have been submitted relating to this installation. Given the nature of the claims being made, these comments are currently being reviewed internally and we are seeking appropriate legal advice in relation to the statements published.
Should you require confirmation of the contracting party or wish to be signposted to the correct organisation, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.
Heatpump install
From the initial survey to the final commissioning, the entire process was handled with total professionalism.
The Quote & Survey Unlike some other companies, Renewafuel didn't give me a "one-size-fits-all" pitch. Their surveyor was thorough, explaining exactly how the system would work in my specific property and what kind of efficiency I could expect.
Installation Day The installation team arrived exactly when they said they would. They were incredibly respectful of the house, used dust sheets everywhere, and kept me updated on their progress. For a job this size, I expected more disruption, but they made it look easy and left the place spotless.
Aftercare What really impressed me was the handover. They didn't just fit the unit and leave; they took the time to show me how to use the controls and ensured I was comfortable with the new settings before heading off.

Bad Reviews on after care speak volumes
We had solar panels installed by this company and the experience has been extremely poor. Once payment was taken, communication all but stopped. A grid-supply switch was promised so we would still have power during outages, but it was never installed. Despite repeated follow-ups, our emails have been ignored for nearly two years, leaving us with no choice but to involve the equipment manufacturer to get any resolution.
Be cautious of the positive reviews. Customers are offered incentives in exchange for leaving them, which raises serious questions about their credibility. This is an unprofessional and unreliable company with no regard for after-sales support. Avoid.

As previously explained, the matters raised were fully investigated as part of our complaints process and our findings were communicated. As you are not satisfied with the outcome of that review, we provided the relevant contact details to allow the complaint to be progressed via the appropriate external channels. That option remains available.
We categorically reject the claim that Renewafuel offers incentives in exchange for positive reviews and are prepared to seek legal advice should this claim continue to be made. All feedback published about our company is provided independently by customers. Repeating unsubstantiated allegations of this nature is concerning and misrepresents how we operate.
While we regret that the outcome was not what the customer hoped for, we have acted transparently and in line with our complaints procedure throughout. We will continue to cooperate fully with any external review of the matter.
Some positive reviews are bribes!
I purchased a significant amount of equipment from this company, including an air source heat pump, solar panels, batteries and an EV charger. Once they had my money, all communication stopped. Emails about faulty equipment were ignored and no meaningful attempts were made to resolve the issues.
Interestingly, Renewafuel seem to find plenty of time to reply to public reviews, but not to actual customer emails — which really says everything about how they operate. I’ve also never had such a quick reply since I posted a bad review!
I was sold a 7.2kW system that barely reaches 3.2kW at its absolute maximum. Being told this is “over-performing” is laughable. Despite repeated requests, they have refused to provide any performance data to support their claims, choosing instead to ignore my emails entirely.
Save your time, your money, and your sanity — take your renewable energy investment elsewhere. And take the glowing reviews with a pinch of salt; I believe some customers are incentivised with discounts to leave positive feedback- as we originally were!

Dangerous. Do not adhere to codes of practice-
My solar storage installation turned out to be dangerous on 2 fronts. Physically as the survey was someone poking their head up through the loft hatch and spotting a handy looking beam which moved after installation leaving chimney brickwork unsupported, and also was in any any case installed in the loft contrary to codes of practice under the HIES and MCS umbrella. (Fire risk)The customer service after I complained was fairly diabolical with the company responding, or not, in their own sweet time which was not Amazon top gear. In addition I have not received an MCS certificate (not registered with MCS)and I have been waiting over a week now for a dead battery to be replaced. After further probing I find that renewafuel prices are also greatly inflated. As with other reviews I've read, they come over as excellent till you are in the bag. My advice- look elsewhere.

That's interesting! I read on your complaint procedure that you aim to respond quickly and come up with a plan of action within 78 hrs. This has singularly not happened Mr unnamed renewafuel. The initial acknowledgement of complaint was 17/1/2026 and since then nothing regarding the complaint .(10 days) Not a single question has been answered. Your reply is all window dressing for public consumption.

I'm pleased to report that after a visit from said quality control officer, that all my concerns have been fully addressed and sanity prevails once more. Renewafuel have proposed a remedy which exceeds my expectations, and I look forward to a resumption of cordial relations and a fully operational storage system. I commend Renewafuel for this and have upgraded my review accordingly.

Unreliable - lost confidence
This company is not reliable regarding after sales maintenance. After numerous problems with the original installation, we never received satisfactory explanation or apology. Fortunately the system did eventually work. Now 8 months later, a problem, contacted company, send they would send someone out. No one arrived and company did not contact us. We are in our mid 70s and were left in the cold!!! Fortunately, I have managed to rectify the fault but as the system is less than 12months old feel it should be checked by the company
