1/5. Scammer. Don’t work with him

Professional collaboration on Upwork.

I accepted a fixed-price contract for an independent marketing review of two construction websites. The funded milestone specified a marketing review focused on lead generation, including messaging clarity, trust elements, UX structure, conversion paths and acquisition channels.

I completed and submitted the requested website reviews. After the contract was funded, the client introduced additional SEO and lead-generation requirements that were not included in the original milestone description. I clarified the scope difference, but the client rejected the deliverable and requested a full refund.

I would recommend clearly defining the full scope and deliverables before starting a project with this client.
