This company collects personal information that's none of its business in exchange for allowing a prospective tenant to see a property. I tried to view a property through this awful company, and was denied because I refused to supply my birthday or the day I signed up for Rently. The chat agent claimed it was for security purposes. What security purposes does a person need to make an appointment to view a property? Stay away from these tech scammers.

I have signed up repeatedly for two homes, no one ever calls me back. Immediately after I sign up house no longer available. Hour or so later house available, sign up again for tour, notified shortly no longer available. I think it’s a scam they use pictures of houses that are lovely and garner a lot of clicks, but not available. To get you to look at the other houses they feed you that actually do exist. If you do look at one of those houses they are filthy. I myself own property that I rent out and one I would never use Rently due to my experience with them and two I would never show my house in such a disgraceful condition.

Aweful, the code I received didn’t work on the lock box. Tried to contact them and they were unable to help. Then I received a message saying if I didn’t return the key (which I never got) I would be charged for it.

Rently products only allowed us to see 10% of scheduled tours
Only 2 of our scheduled tours out of 12 through a rently product were able to be viewed. We had a tight schedule since we are moving 2,000 miles away. We wasted many hours driving house to house to find we cannot get in. One thing to note it wasn’t always directly through rently but it was their padlock product that malfunctioned for many reasons. Not only that but this product eliminates any person to person interaction. This product has made finding a new home one of the worst experiences I’ve had, and it cost us money to use!! Luckily we were able to find a company that had agent led tours and we signed with them.

Very unprofessional...
We were able to view the home but I had a question and left SEVERAL messages. Ernesto, the manager NEVER replied, and we kept getting the same automated message through email and text all weekend. Very unprofessional.
We applied and were considered "not qualified". I tried to contact them again to tell them we had filled the application out wrong and I needed to clarify co-applicants (our children), Still no response.
Again very unprofessional!
I feel sorry for the owners of the homes that use them! Don't use them!

My account was permanently paused by…
My account was permanently paused by the internal server for an unknown reason. I was told there was nothing they could do aside from giving me a refund for the tours I had purchased. I was also told I could no longer use Rently.

In the past I actually never had a problem until yesterday. I went to view a property at 9am and had no issue. I drove 11mins to the next property and couldn't get in because my account had been paused. I called, emailed and chatted with Rently support only to be told there is nothing they can do. Not only that they can't tell me why it was paused AND basically its a permanent thing. Oh and i still had 5 tours left. So you basically suspended my account with no legitimate reason, can't tell me why and still charged my card.

Anyone renting a house using Rently will take longer to rent. You sign up pay. Go to the house and your account is paused. Happen 3 times for same house. Drove 22 miles just to waste our time and money.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE
My boyfriend and I have BOTH had our accounts paused. Emailed their security team multiple times and received a very vague response stating our accounts violated their guidelines. If I could give this 0 stars I would. This third party app saturates the rental market so our accounts being paused makes it even harder to find a home. These big management companies SHOULD NOT be using this app. Absolutely horrible. Every time I call I ask to speak to someone with some type of authority and its like their management team disappears into thin air. No one at this company knows whats going on ever. The biggest scam there is

My account as well as my wife's account or paused without any explanation. I tried to contact them and they said they had no way to unpause it and to email the support staff who never returned our multiple replies. The self-touring was awesome until it wasn't.
