Awful scam of a company.
Awful scam of a company all I wanted was a TV mounting and some holes filling they couldn’t even complete such a simple job, they then took a full payment of £120 for a “engineer” who was clueless and asking me for advice after 10 minutes he then said I would need a whole section of plasterboard replacing and batons put in behind the plasterboard….they then sent me a quote for £330 on top of the original payment…disgusting!!! Don’t bother speaking to there customer service they just palm you off and don’t listen to anything your stating to them and are just happy they took your money for providing no service… I’ve contacted trading standards who I am with close contact with and reported them for fraud with my bank! Scam of a company and leave you in a worse situation you was originally in…I then got an actually tradesman in who filled the holes and mounted the TV….awful company!!! Avoid at all costs they should be shut down and not allowed to trade oh and be aware of all the fake positive reviews FAKE FAKE FAKE !!
Avoid this company
You should avoid this company. They charge to attend for quoting. While the cost of the quote is "deducted" if you decide to go ahead with the "quote" they will charge significant extra hours once the job in underway. The quote you receive (even after you have paid them for a site visit) is meaningless. They are a con.
I have a lot of experience with tradesmen and this is by far the worst company I have had this misfortune to deal with.(Unfortunately I was not on-site to oversee this shambles)
If you or anyone you know is not too experienced using tradespeople please avoid Repifix.
In my case they didn't even do most of the job. What they did do was leave me with a dangerous and costly gas leak (reported to Gas Safe) and are refusing to refund. Ignore Checkatrade reviews (suspect!) ..PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY
N.B While they are quick to call back they are quicker to take your money and do terrible (dangerous!) work. ZERO STARS
Scam company
Engineer arrived without knowing what he was installing, despite being sent all information and images prior. Of course he then needed a part to make it work as he wasn’t qualified to wire it properly without. He told me they have the part in stock and they would not charge for the time to pick it up. Nice. Until I get the invoice with the part (worth £30 anywhere I could find) and received a £92 bill for the item which they bumped up to £42, a ‘Material collection fee’ of £35 and then they added VAT to the total, bringing the total to over £230 for 30 mins work. If I had known he was just going to get another part to workaround I would have done it myself. This company is a scam
Amazing customer service
My boiler stopped working so I googled and found Repifix and I’m so pleased I did! The service was quick and very efficient. I was given a detailed explanation on what was wrong with my boiler which was brilliant. The telephone customer service as well as the workman service was exceptional. I would most definitely recommend and would use repifix for any future jobs
Great service with a fair price...
Moved in to my new house with a faulty radiator and issues with hot water. I needed someone to come urgently especially as I have 2 small children and Repifix was recommended by my mum. The call centre agent was very helpful and was able to offer me a cancellation appointment. The engineer was able to repair the issues quickly and efficiently.
Would definitely recommend!
Outstanding Service
The company has helped me by fixing the lighting in my building. The lighting is quite weak before which had an affect on my headaches, but after the company came to fix it, my headaches have gone and i am able to work sufficiently and have less time off!
Waste of my time and money
Repifix called me after I put in a request on check-a-trade.
The man on the phone said that not only could they fit a radiator for me but they would also source it for me, pick it up bring it back and install. I just needed to send photos of what I wanted to them. Despite all of this the plumber turned up on the day with barely any information (I read his notes, no mention that he would be getting the radiator, he thought he was just swapping it over). He then went onto the wickes website, I thought ‘why is he doing that?’ Surely if you are offered a service to get the goods you have a trades centre or something?! I said if he was just going to wicks then I may as well have ordered it myself. He agreed and left. I was then billed £144. I complained that I shouldn't be billed a full hour for someone to come in, have a chat about the service I’ve been offered, and then leave. I was offered 44 minutes credit but I’d rather find a plumber you can talk to, not a head office who sell but don’t deliver. Complete waste of my time. No complaints about the engineer, I don’t believe it to be his fault, he was given very little information.
Good company
Good company, I called them out to fix my radiators. They came out that same week and was able to fix it. The engineer was professional and kept me informed along along the way
Read the small print…parts used are overpriced
The bathroom light was flickering on use and eventually stopped working. As an extractor fan was connected to it, this stopped working as well. The best things about our experience was the person that booked the call who was informed and helpful, and the electrician that completed the job. Everything in between & afterwards was not of the standard expected. We had to set aside a day (9-5) as they could not give a window. After 1pm we were called to say they could not guarantee reaching us before 6 and wanted to reschedule for the next day. At this point we should’ve cancelled but as you pay up front for the 1st hour we felt obliged to continue. We asked and expected that our job would be prioritised over the next days jobs as they’d cancelled but they said this could next be done. The next day we were called & told to expect someone between 1-3 I planned to work a half day based on this so was surprised to receive a text within that hour to say the electrician was on their way! It turned out to be the switch, which the electrician left to collect and quickly fitted on his return. However we were invoiced £40 plus VAT for an item that cost less than £3 from the outlet the electrician collected the switch from! When asked to justify this, we were directed to their Ts & Cs which duly outline their charges. This issue here is that you don’t receive these details until after you’ve paid but you want the job done - a catch 22 situation! Repifix is more expensive at the outset so please read the details in the booking email if you go ahead and cancel if you’re not happy. For us a salutary lesson.
(WARNING ) do not use this company stay…
(WARNING ) do not use this company stay away I’ve paid a deposit for one hour £110 plus VAT to have electrician work done two spotlights and refit a sensor in the bathroom all wiring was already there he took an hour for The so-called electrician and he couldn’t work out spotlights I told him to leave it and just wire up the sensor in the bathroom it took an hour to work out the wire and still couldn’t do it I knew my two hours was coming up another £110 when the two hours was approaching I told him to stop 15 minutes before he went downstairs and stood in the hallway for 20 minutes writing something on his phone What I didn’t realise the clock was still running it went into the third hour 3 minutes and they charge me another £110 went into my bank account without even authorisation electrician knew what I was doing he was hanging about messing about with his phone went to the toilet for 15 minutes so the clock can run up I paid £400 and still didn’t have the work complete I can’t believe trust a trade I have these people on their website I can’t believe this company is getting away with it still I would never used trust a trader again either
Have a look at all the reviews I’m not the only one they are a fraudulent company
This company is a sham
This company is a sham. Be very careful. They bill for a whole hour by hour so they try and stay 5 mins past the first hour to charge two hours. They use mobile check in times and hang around wasting time on small jobs so they can over bill. You then can’t dispute it as in the fine print in their terms you agree they can deduct whatever they feel is right without your consent ie they draw more money on your card and don’t investigate any complaints. Never ever ever be stupid enough to fall into their trap. Total fraudsters.
AVOID - Poor Customer Service & Poor workmanship
The first tradesman regrouted part of the tiles in our bathroom and sealed on 16th March. After the the tiles and sealant had dried (over 48 hours later) we discovered the tradesman had left a large amount of toilet paper in the toilet and there was grout in the toilet bowl. He had flushed grout down the toilet which ended up hardening in the toilet bowl base as hard as concrete! After contacting Repifix about this, they agreed to send another Repifix tradesman for a revisit.
1) We had the revisit from Repifix on 21/03/23 after we raised the original issue. At this appointment the Repifix tradesman took photographs of the toilet and fed back the information to their office
2) On 22/03/2023 an appointment was arranged with their technical team, Repifix said they would remove the grout for free as the original tradesman had admitted his mistake. I confirmed the appointment again on the Wednesday evening. There was a lot of chasing on our behalf to get things resolved.
3) On 23/03/23 we showed the new Repifix person (I wouldn't use the word tradesman) what needed to be done to the toilet with (remove grout) - he refused to put his hand down the toilet, raised his voice picked up his toolbag quite aggressively and left within two minutes of arrival. That is when we contacted Repifix and informed them of the incident. We also wrote a review on Checkatrade (we had hired Repifix through them) that night as we were promised work and nothing was delivered. However, long story short, the second tradesman was very rude to us and did not resolve the issue caused by the first tradesman.
My father and myself purchased more materials to fix the toilet bowl which wasn't a problem in the first place. Luckily this issue is now solved no thanks to Repifix. The materials included cement cleaner, marigold gloves, screwdrivers - surely Repifix could compensate us to the total of £50 for the cost of us clearing the grout? We both spent a weekend with our hands down a toilet scraping away - not a very pleasant experience.
We will never be hiring this company again! (deserves 0 stars)
We did receive a reply from Repifix dated 07/04/2023 via the Checkatrade website about our our review on that site:
1) Repifix will not be refunding us our cost of scraping grout of the toilet bowl ourselves - although they did apologise for disposing waste incorrectly
2) To clarify, they said was not their standard practice and this was reviewed further with additional training provided to prevent recurrence. Repifix stated they quickly addressed as they dispatched an alternative engineer as per our request to remedy this as part of and covered under our labour guarantee
3) On the second visit Repifix said when their engineer arrived, they advised how they would conduct their work to remove the grout. He experienced 'hostility' from the customer and so was not comfortable being in the property.
We never acted aggressively towards the engineer we just explained what needed to be done. My wife (who was also in attendance) and I are not that heavily built and I was shocked to have an engineer who met us for a less than five minutes describe both our behaviours as aggressive.
4) I contacted the technical team and advised them of the incident and informed I would like the job closed immediately. According to the Checkatrade review ''our conversation then became hostile and our Technical Team member made the decision to instruct our engineer to close down and leave the job. It is unfortunate the job could not proceed however, we have an obligation to keep our staff safe. Aggression of any kind towards them will not be tolerated. Best of luck in the future''
I contacted the Repifix technical team immediately after the engineer left our flat aggressively without doing anything and closed the job down quite amicably with their technical team , after having Repifix out several times to no avail. The job is now fixed by ourselves. What annoyed me most apart from the lies about our alleged aggression was the last sentence 'best of luck in the future'
We will never be hiring this company in the future!

The company is a complete rip off- they took an extra hour from my account after we only agreed for 2 hours - compete dodgy outfit. They used my card without my permission and that is illegal 😳
Awful service and used my card a second…
Awful service and used my card a second time without my permission. This is a fraud. Watch out!!!
Standard of work and the electrician…
Standard of work and the electrician was fine however this company are very expensive, a lesson learnt, they also didn’t turn up on the day booked in as a job overran which can happen but very frustrating and then we’re 45 minutes late the next day.
Over the phone the job specified was ad a socket into cupboard via a spur as well as swap a salamander pump with a knew quieter one, unfortunately they only sent an engineer so this wasn’t done.
They also charged £50 for material which consisted of 2m of cable and a one socket, seems massively inflated to me.
They also can’t wait to add additional hours as they’re paid ph, office on the phone straight away one minute after the first hour is complete, will not use them again. Nearly £300 for one spur to be put in. Second hour of work was only 30 minutes, will wait to see if that is refunded? Highly doubtful.
I booked Repifix because they had good…
I booked Repifix because they had good reviews despite being expensive. I didn’t want to risk paying twice for an electrician .
I booked on Tuesday and they arrived later that afternoon as scheduled. He completed the work within the allotted time and provided maintenance tips for the future. The engineer was very informative, friendly and helpful. I would use them again.
I cannot recommend them highly enough
I cannot recommend them highly enough. Firstly, and this might sound strange but they answer the phone and availability is really prompt…. I’ve called several companies now and no one hardly answers !
A wonderful thing if you live in London!
Secondly, the guy who they sent really know his stuff. Extremely thorough and friendly and clean up after themselves! I had a question on my invoice which was due to a misunderstanding on my part! Their customer service was second to none. You cannot find a better service in London. Thank you so much
I've used Repifix loads of times now
I've used Repifix loads of times now , they are my go to company.
I find their service is second to none, and to be fair to them, they ain’t the cheapest (not most expensive ) but definitely worth it as each n every person they’ve sent have been extremely knowledgeable, qualified and professional.
Years ago I used a cheaper option and ended up pay twice as much. You get what you paid for !
I needed a plumber for an emergency. They attended within approx 2 hours and fixed my shower in a timely fashion. My tenant had no complaints.
This is why I always return to them because they are professional, transparent and trust worthy. Thanks to all at Repifix. Fantastic work as always.
Excellent engineer who done a great job…
Excellent engineer who done a great job for us in our bathroom. They were on time, all prices were transparent and priced reasonably. We will definitely use them again.
Second time booking
Second time booking. Phone booking was straightforward and clear. Operative explained prices, cancellation terms etc. James our engineer was great, sent us an update via text as they said they would about arrival time. Unblocked our sink as we asked and also gave free advice on another plumbing issue we had. He was considerate and cleaned up after himself. I received a paid invoice at the end of the service. All clear, no complaints. Thank you
