Just had lovely conversation with very helpful staff member (10am on 13/12/2023)
Had concerns that wouldn't be close to my friends' lodge, they have joined us to help us with our other two children after our disabled daughter just had two major surgeries. Lady was very helpful and straight away put us nearer. Made experienced recommendations on best areas to stay
We go to one Center parcs or another every year for the past 8 years now, always have a great time and relaxing break
Staff should really be praised on the polite and considerate manner they always present. Can't wait for this next holiday!
Arrived and queued to park
Arrived and queued to park, unfortunately due to how dark it is in and around the car park area, a fall injuring my thumb occurred, reported it, no feed back, to date, suggested more lighting, pathway for pedestrians as there is none, so you risk either a fall or being run over by the cars entering and trying to park. They need to adjust arrival times in the winter months, as most areas very dark, definitely need a torch, our cabin was clean and tidy, again no lights up the path way to the lodge, bedroom tv remote needed new batteries, the bathroom loo has very weak flush, so 3 attempts just to clear 1 piece of toilet paper, we ate out at hucks and the foresters inn, both ok, everywhere is cashless, so tips are added on as service charge, hopefully wait staff will receive this? Sports bar the best for customer service, food and drink.
Overall a lot of H&S needs looking at, most areas are dark or trip hazard.
On a positive the wildlife outside your cabin doors are absolutely worth the trip.
Whinfell disaster
Been enjoy holidays at center parcs for years. But now own a pet so decided to book a pet friendly lodge at whinfell. Center parcs dog friendly my EYE.. you can walk them around everywhere but they are not allowed in the sports plaza or the village centre. these are the two main places. I let my dog walk on the beach area and a security guard ran over to tell me to get her off. There are loads of signs saying no bikes beyond this area but people were cycling there but never once did I see I security guard tell these people not to do this.
Basically they want to charge you more to take your pet but there are far too many restrictions I will never go again with or without a pet..
Cashless is a no no
Very expensive
Nothing you can do if you have a pet in the rain.

Booked a Monday to Friday break in an Executive Lodge. Lodge 723 had multiple quality issues. The Parc market, activities and restaurants were all overpriced and nowhere near value for money. We have been going to Sherwood Forest for 40 years plus and would recommend others now to avoid. What a shame !
Lodge not fit for human habitation
Arrived at Center Parcs Monday and left on Tuesday due to a lodge that was clearly not fit for purpose.
Mould on the windows and bathroom ceilings. Many appliances broken. Tv speaker not working, Toaster not working properly, coffee maker broken and lethal as steam spurted out, oven door didn't shut properly. To name a few. I raised our complaint with Longleat but unfortunately there was not an alternative lodge we could be moved to. We were offered additional housekeeping but I did explain this problem was well beyond housekeeping. I have since received a full refund from Center Parcs, reimbursement of our travel expenses would have been a nice gesture considering this distress this experience caused. My reply from Customer service explained that they have, quote, a regular programme of inspection and maintenance in place for all accommodation. Clearly missed lodge Fir 652. This is not an isolated incident reviews like this go back to 2019. These issues need to be addressed. Shall I be going back to Center Parcs, I think the answer is no.
FABULOUS HOLIDAY
Centerparcs Elvedon Forest
Staff excellent: attentive and nothing too much trouble. The logistics of getting cars in and out to changeover was very well done. Lodges very clean and tidy.
Flora and fauna very well managed and enjoyed lovely visits from Muntjac deer, squirrels, wildfowl. The trees in the pool area were very real and very well kept. The rides were fabulous.
The bike riding was a great way to see the extent of the park and the restaurants were very good. Loved the bots in Iguanas.
Never met one bad family or heard a bad word or saw any drunkenness or delinquency.
A little piece of utopia for a few days.
I would not hesitate to recommend and we will return.
Almost perfect Sherwood
The staff we encountered really made the trip - from Rick & Martin at the Nature Centre who took us on two really interesting walks, to Alice & Laura who ran the Falcon & Owl experiences. We couldn’t praise them enough.
The staff at the pottery painting were super friendly as were all of the staff at the shops.
Food wise, Hucks wasn’t the best but the staff were friendly, the Italian couldn’t accommodate us on night due to broken ovens, but again the staff were so friendly, Cafe Rouge wasn’t great. Flat gin and tonic, insipid tea. Las Iguanas was great but they struggled on Sunday night and I felt for them. Rebecca (our server) was unfortunate enough to be dealing with 2 large not so friendly or understanding tables and I felt her manager should have taken over and dealt with the situations. We thought Rebecca was great, but then, we spoke to her like she was a human being!
Re: the lodge, the usual comments. Clean but with uncomfortable beds.
The shop had no tonic water for the whole stay (but an abundance of soda water) That’s a rookie mistake.

Staff extremely friendly and very helpful. Visited CentreParcs at Longleat and the staff were so very nice. Couldn’t do enough for you
Food poisioning and asked for a sample of vomit as proof!?
Center Parcs has unfortunately gone DOWNHILL.
As someone who has holiday'd at CP once or twice a year for the past 10 years, it is no longer the great holiday experience it once was.
I recently visited the Sheerwood CP and it was a horrid week. Everything is super overpriced and the food is of an awful standard. The add a service charge and tip to every bill automatically (which half the staff hate and actually warn you against) but the food is not worth half of what they charge you. I am someone who is happy to pay these premium prices if the food is reflective of the price but it really isn't. Hucks (the American Diner) gave a family member food poisioning, to which CS was unapologetic, infact, didn't even believe us and asked for a SAMPLE of her vomit!!!
Won't be going back again, I think our time at CP is done.
RATS in Eleveden
RATS! Everywhere and they are massive!
I’m petrified of them and was to scared to venture outside on the patio!
If the weather had been hot I probably would of gone home.
I get its their environment but they carry disease and the park is overrun with them!

We went to back Elveden as not been for years, it’s very worn in places, lodge floor was very dirty along with other faults, tv damaged, swimming pool changing rooms were disgusting, prefer Woburn. Woburn feels cleaner and seems better run, bikes are annoying here you need some rules for people on bikes, and kids unsupervised on bikes, ringing a bell on a bike will not make the path wider they should dismount if busy seems like supervision or intervention from staff is non existent, seems like the same family’s hog the same space at outside swimming pool area it’s busy so share and move around. Overall I’m done with Elveden, and maybe Centerparcs.

Beware customer service assistance is non existent. We had an accident on the Woburn site, staff not first aid trained and did not even know about logging accident!! They are lucky it’s not a riddor. They don’t answer emails so you have to contact HSE as we are doing

Center Parcs, Longleat
Wow! What can I say, I am genuinely lost for words. I have just recently returned from my one week stay at Center Parcs, Longleat forest. From the booking online to the goodbyes at the park, the experience has been phenomenal. Not only were the staff within the park amazing but I’d also like to say how great the customer service team were. Louise was on point throughout the booking process, she even took the time to arrange a phone call at a specific time and called at that agreed time. Hats off the the customer service team. Upon arrival we were greeted by a security guard who had a lovely attitude, even when we arrived at 8pm. He supplied us with a map and our wrist bands. The wrist bands are nice and easy to use and I was surprised to get them as these weren’t around when I went as a kid. Anyway! We headed to the Redwood apartments and unpacked our stuff. I must say, these apartments are quite central to everything in the park, so like a 5 minute walk both ways to sports plaza and main plaza and if you don’t like the walk, there’s always the train! To the activities! If you go during a warm time of the year, I would definitely recommend trying out the aqua park. Not only were the staff on the aqua park great, but you really do have a lot of fun running around and jumping off into the lake. I believe it was Matthew that was on the aqua park the day we went, can’t really remember names very well sorry. But he was such fun, he had banter and knew how to make us laugh and of course making us feel safe. We did a lot at the sports plaza, if you go please do check it out and please try the loaded fries at the sports bar, they were mouth watering! Okay, on to the fun part, the swimming! Everything is so fun in the subtropical paradise, to the slides and the rapids. Of course there will always be lifeguards at the ready, which makes you feel safe and comfortable in this place. After swimming, I would definitely recommend heading over to Las Iguanas for a lovely cold drink or if you drink, please try the share cocktails! For reference, my partner and I shared a big passion fruit martini bowl thing and wow, this was really worth the money. To finalise our last day, we ate at the pancake house and HUCKS. The pancakes and waffles were so good but very filling, would definitely recommend as a morning or lunch treat to fill yourself up for the whole day! Never the less, we ate at HUCKS in the evening, where we had pork belly ribs I believe, and they were quite possibly the best ribs I have ever had. This went down nicely with a passion fruit martini! On our leaving day, we packed up the car and parked it back at the carpark, we then headed back to the subtropical paradise for one last swim. If you go swimming, please try out there new slides, the tropical cyclone and the typhoon slide. These are like rubber dingy rapids, only you get to go into this massive funnel thing and it’s amazing. You can check out what I mean on youtube! Anyway, I would like to share my thanks and gratitude to the Center Parcs in Longleat Forest for the amazing time and memories they have given me, I will of course be returning. Thank you.

Just returned from an amazing week at Centre Parcs, Elveden Forest for the 2nd year running and as usual it doesn't disappointed, excellent accommodation in the Becklands Appartments, excellent service and very friendly staff. Room was spotless, All staff including the cleaners are doing an excellent job. Plenty of excellent activities. Will return next year and for my wife's 60th birthday in 2025, will return with whole family (14 at the moment)
Keep up the good work, great upgrade to subtropical swimming changing
First visit to Woburn Center Parcs
First visit to Woburn Center Parcs (previously visited Longleat and Sherwood) and overall very impressed. I do love Center Parcs in general, it’s a great place and perfect set up for us as a family. The lodge wasn’t the cleanest but I gave it a quick spruce up (as I always do on any holiday) and yes everything is overpriced. But if you go prepared you don’t NEED to spend a fortune. Our experience was so positive because we booked Mon-Fri during term time. We would really struggle with the crowds during half term and it wouldn’t be such a positive experience. I was surprised with how much smaller Woburn is compared to Longleat but I actually liked the fact my 11 and 9 year old could have some independence. And most of all we loved how accessible everything is for our oldest son who is a wheelchair user. Also the fact there’s no deep water (deepest part of the pool being 1.5m with other areas being a meter or less) so I felt our 4 year old was safe. The weather during our stay was glorious so this helped too as we packed very lightly and everything dried after swimming really quickly. Shout out to Belinda who works in the Sports Cafe. She was just lovely, very friendly and chatty! In fact all staff were great, especially the pool staff. I can’t wait to go back!
One of my favourite holidays!
My friends and I go to Sherwood forest for a week in November every year. We always have the best time and we're always sad to leave. I've been going there and to the other sites since I was a child with family, it has become like a second home.
Staff are always kind and helpful, the only issue we had one year was a bit of damp in one of the rooms in our villa. It didn't ruin the stay so we didn't think much of it but to report it at the end. We were compensated without asking to be and thanked for reporting it.
I can't recommend Sherwood forest enough to anyone who is on the fence about going. Please give it a go, you won't be disappointed. Looking forward to returning this year!
