Poor service, average food, high price
For reference, we have been to Ribelli before and it was extremely good, which is why we came back. But after this trip, we probably won’t be going again.
When we ordered our food we asked for two drinks, two mains and bread…a very simple order.
We got our drinks (which were good), next came our food - the duck ragu. The flavour of this was underwhelming and a small portion, we finished our mains feeling hungry and unsatisfied.
By the time our mains were finished, we still had not received any bread (something we specifically asked for when ordering). However, we noticed that every other table around us received the bread, it made us think - why are they ignoring us?
Not only that, after we received our mains, not once did anyone come to check on us until we asked for the bill.
The entire time I was looking out for the waitress, Amy I think her name was, and every time she would overlook our table. She even tended to the tables right next to us, with small talk and smiles, but ignored us the entire evening.
Even as another lady took our plates away, no conversation was initiated.
We were excited to try the pistachio tirimasu, but after waiting for more than 10 minutes after our plates were cleared and clearly feeling ignored at this point, we decided to leave.
Fair to say we won’t be coming back again. We left feeling hungry and frustrated… extremely poor service.
