Resting Powerhouse creates research-informed experiences for people who need space to step away from the noise, think differently and explore what comes next. Our work brings together thoughtful questions and practical tools, time to think and write, conversation with other people, and embodied practices such as breathwork and gentle movement. Rest. Reflect. Rebuild. is our flagship small-group experience. It is designed for moments when something may need to shift - in work, life, leadership or direction - but the answer is not yet obvious. Rather than pushing people towards a quick decision, the experience creates time and structure to look at what is happening from different perspectives, reconnect with what matters and identify a more manageable way forward. Resting Powerhouse was founded by Dr Gemma Lord, an organisational researcher and lecturer whose work explores leadership, care, sustainability and how people navigate change. The approach draws on that research while remaining practical, accessible and grounded in people’s real lives. Our first Rest. Reflect. Rebuild. experience took place in Manchester in September 2026. Participant feedback particularly highlighted the thoughtful pace, practical tools, conversations with others, embodied work and the sense of psychological safety created throughout the day. Rest. Nurturing and enlightening workshop

I attended the pilot of Resting Powerhouse and was incredibly impressed with both the workshop and the results. The day was led by wonderful facilitators, hosted in a calm environment, with a supportive group of like-minded women. The workshop led us logically through a series of questions, encouraging us to look at our challenge/question from new angles and take a step back to consider what really matters to us. I came away feeling calm, emboldened and clear-minded. I'd wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone at a crossroads in their career.
