It was fine. I don't like the fact that I can't upload files before I am ready to place an order. That's a pain. I want to be able to upload as I go. It doesn't really help me to only be able to sort uploads into folders after the job is done. That's not helpful to me - just means I got to spend time cleaning and refiling. It's not being able to upload them in advance that slows things down and makes it cumbersome.

I'm a college student who utilized this service for a school assignment at the end of 2022. I used their captioning tool once but forgot to cancel my subscription.
When I finally realized this in January of 2024, I contacted Customer Service to explain my situation. As I had not used their service since 2022, I was hoping for a notable refund. Unfortunately, management only refunded the most recent month and refused to do any more than that.
I struggle to understand the ethicality of this decision, as they are happy to accept $500 for an unused service. I am extremely disappointed in the company's values.

This human transcription service is absolutely horrible. It's not worth money at all. I had to pay and over $500 for the additional human transcription and they couldn't even fix the speaker error that AI created. I was recommended this company by a colleague but I will never recommend this company to anyone. When I talked to customer service they were no help either.

Easy to use once you get your head around the interface. Fast and good value compared to other providers.

I am a fiction writer. I compared three Voice Memo recorded files employing AI only against three similar length paid files using human transcription.

AI was moderately OK: it still had problems with quote attribution, grammar, and names misspelling which I thought I had averted by recording my files with grammar commands plus spelling. As is typical with AI, it takes a lot of time to clean up the errors the machine makes.

Then I paid for 3 theoretically "human transcribed" files of similar length to the test files above, also using spoken grammar and spelling commands. My files were all delivered so fast that no human being could have even opened them, so my impression is that I got the AI product without human level accuracy. In some respects, the human transcribed files had more mistakes, though why is a mystery.

Not worth the money in my view for the accuracy I want. Very disappointed since Rev has stellar reviews. Maybe no one gives a damn if you're only transcribing meeting content but anyone who wants to publish from these files where spelling, grammar and clarity are valued, it isn't worth the cost. I'd rather pay a human I know who knows the rules of composition. Bummed because it sounds like such a great solution.

I love REV.com for ai transcripts of videos -- such a time-saver!
And the human-generated captions are remarkably accurate!

I worked with Rev years ago, and did not have the best experience.
Working again with them years later, I can see the strides they have made as a company, and could not be happier with the results and the service.

Wow. Fast, good, easy, and quality. Wish I had found this first.

I used the button through Vimeo to place an order for Spanish captions or subtitles since it was advertised I could do this directly through the site but be taken to a third party to order (Rev.com). I placed the order for three videos through Rev.com, which totaled almost $200. I then realized in the ordering process, I had not been asked what language I wanted the captions in. I reached out to support at Rev.com to see if that was something I missed. I was told that only English captions were available at this time. When I asked to have my order canceled, I was told I missed the refund window. When I asked to have my order switched to Spanish subtitles, I was told management would have to make that decision. I pointed out the policy Rev has on their site about English captions being free with all global subtitle orders but I was still told it was up to management. I reached out to Vimeo as well to let them know the button on their site was misleading. I sent in the screenshots showing where it advertised the ability to order subtitles but then that option never appears once you order through Vimeo. They said to ask for a refund and work it out with Rev. I waited a week and then asked Rev again if I could order the Spanish subtitles and pay the difference (I would pay almost $400 more to them for the subtitles) since the English captions come for free. At this time, I have still not received a response or a refund and it has been two weeks since my order. I am reviewing their services in this way because I have yet to receive what I wanted to order and they do not seem interested in helping me correct my mistake, even though it would result in me paying them (Rev) more money. I do not recommend Rev to anyone. And I am disappointed that Vimeo has decided to partner with them.

Flexibility. It was easy to update and customize, made the process very quick and simple.

You guys went dark for the weekend. A skeleton crew would be nice instead of a bot that says you'll get back to us on Monday. You did an excellent job on the work, but the follow-up in your QC dept needs a little help. I'll keep using you... but, I am not happy at this moment. Thanks, Sid B.

I HAD been a satisfied, happy customer of Rev.com for about 10 years.

What kind of company based in America just takes money out of their client's checking accounts without their client's authorization? Rev.com did this to me yesterday. Plus, I am unable to speak to any real people or contact them to discuss a solution.

In addition, I just happened to notice, Rev.com just changed the terms of our agreement from Net 30 to Due upon Receipt... again, without any approval, authorization or agreement with me.

I don't know what happened to Rev.com that made them go from a company with awesome, caring customer service staff to stealing money from their customers. But this is quite unbelievable. I choose how and when I pay my bills... not rev.com robots. I cannot recommend doing any business with Rev.com

I've been having a little flutter with these guys for about 8 months. I've probably spent £200. I've won a Louis Vuitton bracelet valued at £250 but there was a problem and they couldn't deliver it, so they sent me the money. I've won a Nintendo OLED, £250 rev comps credit with which I tried my luck for free and won a beautiful pair of Ugg boots worth £150.00. Great little site and the correspondence is second to non. it took a while to understand but once i got a hand on it it was very simple to use

I must say I was really excited about joining this website but after discovering I don't qualify because of my location really disappointed me and there are so many sites and online surveys that do this, it is truly upsetting since we are all trying to make a living so my question is what will it take for these sites to work in our countries this is so unfair
