Older model of the Dacia Duster
We rented an older model of the Dacia Duster 4x4 for three weeks. Although the car was a little worn out we were driving all three weeks without any technical problem. We thought it was the perfect car for these bumpy gravel roads. The car pick up and give back was quick and uncomplicated, the Shuttle Service from and to the Airport as well.

definitely 5 out of 5
it definitely is a 5 out of 5 for us!
To name a few positive points:
- easy pick-up
- great car (clean car, winter tyres and spiked!)
- very nice and easy (and very fast!) when returning the car
- very friendly people at the desk
- great extra service without extra costs (a WiFi connector instead of gps which was definitely very helpful)
Definitely going back to these people when coming back to beautiful Iceland.

Highly Recommended.
Easy to book online before we travelled. Easy pick up with a shuttle bus from the terminal to the office. A short 5 minute journey. The office was closed but we were made aware this would be the case and had been provided with simple guidance on how to get the keys from a box and where exactly the car was parked. Dropping off was just as trouble free and the office is so near the terminal that we just walked across, although a shuttle was provided if we had needed it. Iceland was magical and having the car enabled us to go to all the places we'd planned at our own pace. One tip for you: Parking zones in Reykjavik are signed P1,P2 and P3. P1 is the dearest and slightly nearer the centre with P3 being the cheapest and a little further from the centre. P2 is middling on both counts. But even P3 is only a short walk into the centre. On the whole Parking is not expensive anyway. And you can pay with a UK debit card.
Back to the car hire; Reykjavik Cars gave us a very positive experience and we highly recommended them.

the procedure for getting the car on arrival to Keflavik airport was easy and quick, we got instructions by email about how it works, all was very clear and worked perfect.

Puntuality. We arrived and the car was REALLY ready to be used. Kindness of people at the check-in and check-out allowed us to start and finish our stay in the best way. The car was perfect, from both point of view: reliability and equipments. It was an experience in the experience of the trip.

Do not rent a car from them ! Not honest
Do not rent a car from them. If you have your own car insurance they will go after you and charge an unreasonable amount for a scratch anything they can find to make your car insurance pay. They are thief ! They were telling customers who renturned old and damaged car that the customer damage the car, but if they will write a 5 star review they will not charge them. Disgusting behaviour! They charged us over 2000USD for a dot... that apparently according to them was not on the car; as if they will ever paint the entire door... They are not honest ppl and not Icelandic either! Do not rent from them !

Great car hire service
Great car hire service - super easy to get keys and drop off also super convenient . Good location, just a short walk from ther terminal - very new and modern office. Car hire pricing also super good, i've been renting from all the major care hire companies and i must say that Reykjavik Cars are by far my best hire experience. I do not like hiring from the larger ones. This feld very nice and local and without any problems at all
