Review is purely for leisure…

Review is purely for leisure facilities. Posting 2 stars as plenty of kit in good condition within gym area. Members pool is a different story. The steam room has been consistently out of action for the past 6 months with no compensation offered to members. I spoke with Duty Manager who promised an email follow up ref some kind of compensation/ discount given the facilities we are paying for are rarely available but nothing ever received. If you’re looking for a health club membership, I would look elsewhere, I currently am, and from speaking to other members I’m not the only one.

Second time we’ve been let down.

Second time we’ve been let down.
The thermal journey and spa facilities were brilliant, however what they pass as brunch is barely breakfast.
It’s like the left overs from the hotel breakfast that don’t need a chef/cook to make.

A wonderful experience

My wonderful family took me to the Ribby hall spa hotel for some much needed respite and I have to say it was an amazing experience. The facilities, service and staff were fabulous. Special shout out to Lauren though. She went above and beyond to ensure my stay was exceptional. Many thanks 🙏👍 x

Overpriced and undervalued

We went to Ribby Hall for our first xmas getaway. Whilst the site and facilities are ok, the christmassy feeling is very underwhelming. Add to it the issues that you face once there and it culminates in a very expensive disappointing stay.

We booked a cot with our stay, this wasn't in our room when we arrived, so we phoned to ask for one. Someone came to the cottage within minutes, which we thought was excellent. But they only came to see if we were actually telling the truth and to search the cottage to then confirm there was nothing there, to then report back we didn't have one. Our oven didn't work, which we didn't realise until trying to cook our tea on night 2, so that was a waste of money spent in the shop. We gave up after spending 90 mins trying to cook a pizza.

Whilst there we booked for our xmas dinner. This was £95 for adults, so we were expecting the works. Imagine our surprise to be presented with turkey, a shed load of sprouts, some swede, and roast spuds that could damage a brick. Noticing the kids had stuffing and pigs in blanket on the plate, i asked if this was a mistake and we should have this too. I was told no. So i asked for some to be added, was also told no. I paid over £300 for xmas dinner and i couldn't even get a pig in blanket!

There is little to no effort that goes into the park in making it look nice for xmas. Its a case of its looks ok so it will do. Kind of feels like its just been left to rundown for a bit.

Bar service is poor. I was twice given whiskey with ice when i asked for nothing with it, to be told that i won't know the difference if ice had been in my whiskey and to just drink it.

Don't worry about booking any shows. Nobody checks a single booking, nor do they stop people coming in. We missed several shows as they were 'sold out' only to find out on the last night, that this is never the case and to just turn up. To which we did, to an empty sold out hall.

Overall the stay was hugely disappointing and a rip off. We complained directly and was offered a discount (unspecified ) and to be put on the waiting list for availability this xmas where we are assured things will be different. Availability came up, we weren't contacted. We waited we weren't contacted. Nothing. We called to ask what was going on and what the deal was. To wait 2 days to hear nothing to call back yet again, to be offered a 'whopping' 10% off!! This doesn't cover 1 xmas dinner.
