A friend recommended Rickmores to me

A friend recommended Rickmores to me, so glad she did they couldn't have been more friendly or helpful especially as I wasn't able to get to the Hoddesdon shop. Very pleased with my new washing machine, and I'll definitely contact Rickmores first if and when I need electrical appliances in the future. Thank you guys.

Thanks for usual 110% customer service

Thanks to Rickmores for their usual excellent service, this time buying a washing machine. Impartial advice when deciding on which machine to buy, no salesman attempt to encourage me to upgrade for a more expensive machine that I did not really need. Listened to what I needed and helped me choose between 2 similar priced machines.
One the day of delivery, absolutely faultless. Arrived spot on time, even rang 15 mins before to confirm en route. Old machine removed and new machine installed and running within 20 minutes, no mess at all.
As always, thank you guys for 110% end to end customer service.

fridge freezer

brought fridge freeze was told delivery thursday or friday came on monday would have gone else where had i known took old freezer to tip on the friday lost a lot of food had to phone them on the friday to find out it was not being delivered till monday got here in the end bad coms from them will go elsewhere next till

Many thanks for your review. Whilst we do our up most to provide a delivery service as soon as possible to our customers, we are in the hands of our suppliers to deliver to us also. For this reason, we only offer an estimated delivery time as due to the uncertainty in the world ie virus restrictions and lack of delivery drivers we cannot guarantee a specific day for delivery until we physically have your order at our store. Once your applince did arrive to us, we booked you in for the next available slot which was first thing Monday morning. Agian, many thanks for your feedback. Whilst we would like to be spot on perfect, sometimes we physically cannot achieve something which is out of our hands.

Don’t go to rickmores.

I recently took my Dyson stick hoover to rickmores Hoddesdon for repair. Which they sent to the engineer which the results where the battery, with a cost of £130 with a 6 month guarantee. This I agreed too. After 4 months the same problems Occurred.

So they sent it back to the engineer with another problem. I was then informed the new cost would be £99, which I wasn’t prepared to pay. So they asked if I wanted the vacuum back, which I replied yes. They informed me it would be a few days until returned as the engineer had it.

I then decided to put it on trash for nothing as I’m big on recycling. Then the individual who took it phoned me and explained the battery was no good and thought I’d been conned as the receipt for the repairs was given to him.

I may be a pensioner but I’m not stupid. Draw your own conclusions from this.

Mrs Heard. Many Thanks for your review, however I feel I need to write a reply as the excellent reputation we have built up over time is being tarnished and the work of our engineer with over 20 years experience is being called into question. We supplied and fitted a new power pack on your Dyson back in June this year. Before any work was carried out we gave you an estimate and advised you that we give a six month warranty on the job that we have carried out.
You came in to our store around the end of October, threw your Dyson on the floor and rudely demanded a refund as you claimed to know that the power pack was faulty again ( your machine was not working which could have been a number of other reasons which turned out to be the case). I explained that our engineer would need to take a look your Dyson ( At no further cost at this point to yourself) to see what the problem was. Upon inspection, our engineer concluded that liquid had been picked up in the machine ( obviously Dyson vacuum cleaners are not designed to pick up liquids and this can lead to many problems.) It turns out that the liquid had damaged the main body assembly which is obviously a) a different part to what we previously fitted and b) a result of misuse. We therefore quoted you for supplying a new body assembly (out of good will , we only quoted for the part and no labour cost) and made you aware of what had caused the issue which you then declined to have the work done. Our engineer tested the battery from your machine on another machine for around about 10 mins and it was working fine. However, due to the liquid being picked up, this could well have damaged the battery but as you can appreciate , we cannot test machines for an indefinite amount of time. I think that you will find that no manufacturer or repair agent will honour a warranty if the fault has been caused by consumer misuse.
No one in our company is suggesting you are "stupid" and it would be interesting to know if the individual who took your Dyson is a qualified engineer and was made aware of all the facts before he advised you that you had been "conned". We appreciate all feed back and use it to improve our service when required.
