I have been a customer for well over a…

I have been a customer for well over a decade and bought many items and have spent thousands of dollars with this company. Recently I tried to get on the website and found I was blocked and that R & T had even blocked my email so I could not ask why I was blocked. I was very surprised. The only thing I can thing of is that I complained earlier in the year about magnetic clasps that simply did not stay on. They were on clearance and R & T gave me a credit for the approximate $47 (which I spent). Perhaps they blocked me for complaining about one bad item out of the many, many I have purchased. I called 2 or 3 times to ask for an explanation; they never returned my call. I had a friend send an email from her acccount (so it would not be blocked) asking for an explanation; I have not gotten any response. They have not had the courtesy to explain why they blocked my account and have never given me any explanation. i did absolutely nothing wrong. What a horrible way to treat a good customer.

Deactivated

My account was deactivated for no reason. Phone number is not taking calls, no replies to emails. I have been a customer for years. Very disappointing.

DISAPPOINTING Want a Call BACK

I, like Marcia, have been a customer for over 10 years and suddenly my account has been deactivated and can not contact anyone! I have left messages and now when I call, there is a recording saying the cellular number is not taking calls?? I have depended on them when running my business and now I am stuck at the most busy time of year. SO unprofessional and disapponting.

Shipping Too High

In April I bought some stringing wire and the shipping was only $3.39!!! I thought wow, in the future I can afford to buy a lot of beads and supplies because the shipping is so low. So in June I was going to order a bunch of beads but I saw the shipping is $8.65!!! That is a big jump in 2 months. I expected it to go up a little over time but is over $5 in a short amount of time. I'm willing to pay $5 for shipping as all I order are usually crystals and other very lightweight items. The shipping would cost more than the beads I want to order. I found the same beads on Etsy and they only charged me $4.31. I love this store, but please lower your shipping charge.

Beware of backorders

I bought a bunch of bails for making pendants and they were a fair price for the brand name (TierraCast) and they arrived quickly. Except 1 item was on backorder, I never received it when my order came. I didn't pay for the item that was on backorder. I didn't initially notice that the item was out of stock in the first place. They sent me an email saying that because the total value of the item was under $10 USD they didn't want to send it out and I had to ask for them to send it. I paid $30 CAD to receive an item that was under $10 USD and shipping. I'm not saying that I wanted the item free, but an item under $10 USD shouldn't come out to that much for shipping. I know that CAD is worth less than USD but $30 CAD is a lot. I payed using PayPal and PayPal automatically converts your Canadian money to American that's why I'm using both currencies in my review.

Honesty and care stands for a lot with customers...

I had several unusable beads in a tube and some clasps that were on sale that weren't that quality. One or two beads are the usual ( there shouldn't be any, as much as this stuff costs) and I'm sure customers would appreciate notes or comments when the sale stuff is substandard. I won't buy here anymore. Many of these hobby companies just sell stuff, don't really care about quality; and worst of all, they call gold-filled "precious metal," and quartz, agate. and shined rocks "gemstones." What a racket.

Rings and Things

Rings and Things, (or Rings_Things.com is an AMAZING online and brick and mortar store for getting all of your jewelry making supplies! I've shopped with them for probably 15+ years.

Rings and Things is located in Washington state but also has an online presence.
They have an amazing selection of everything needed for doing hobby jewelry making, or for your business as a jewelry maker.

Rings and Things used to go on the road every and year and I truly miss when they'd come to Central Ohio! They stopped doing that maybe 8 yrs ago. (?) I always waited for their annual on the road sale to buy everything I needed!

Unfortunately, Rings and Things shipping charges are too high for me to buy things from them online. This is because the proceeds from my jewelry goes 95% to animal rescue groups. Only 5% goes into replenishing my jewelry making supplies. Otherwise I'd probably strictly from Rings and Things for my jewelry making needs.
